He's clearly quite close to the club's inner circle and relatively trusted by the manager for them to let him tag along to the preseasontraining camp and watch the training sessions and get various interviews with the players. Not something that was commonplace over the last 10yrs or so I am not suggesting that he is the oracle but between what he gets briefed on, what he picks up from knowing people at the club and what he infers and pieces together, I think he is pretty solid and a lot better than several of the recent Saints reporters
