Completely agree with what you are saying, especially about Edozie. He had moments of class and if we keep hold of him then by next year could make a decent profit. On a side note, I find It bizarre that we barely played him in the second half of the season. This guy was an absolute foul magnet, and considering we have/had the best free kick taker in the league, God knows why we didn't use this.

I think it is extremely likely JWP will leave, however only with the prospect of European football. I remember him saying that was his favourite memory playing for the club or something like that. I can't see him going to a lower table team, where he risks not fitting in to the system or is not used to his potential. I think he will also be considering the high likelihood that we will go straight back up. He is already a fan favourite, but by captaining the team up to the prem he will ensure club legend status indefinitely. What is the point of him leaving to end up at a club which may be of a similar position to us this time next season? I reckon he will go if a big club like West Ham comes knocking, purely for European football. Fulham? I'm not so sure.

I support Southampton because that's where my dad grew up and lived for 20 years. simple as that. I've never lived there, although I am reasonably close (hence my username). I don't think someone needs to live in a certain area to support a team - 70% of football fans I've met live no were near their team. I don't really think it's an issue, and if there is people on twitter debating this then they need to get a fucking life.

I heavily doubt he would model it if he's close to leaving or the club think he will leave. The club are well aware of his lofty status within the fans, and wouldn't put him on the shirt knowing he's off/ likely to be off. I read somewhere a while ago that the club wouldn't be pushy about stopping a move, but slapping him with a minimum price of 40m (or whatever it is) is basically saying "fuck off lower league clubs, we'll only let him go if the Saudis come calling".

It's more of a metaphor mate - a priority is clearing out the inefficient players as soon as possible, and I imagine there will be lower league prem clubs sniffing around. 🤞

The first of many cullings. Now onto Aribo, Diallo and perhaps AA etc. We need a large clear out - I don't care if Banuzu suddenly plays well, his cock ups will never go away. Same with Aribo. Che is an exception, as he is an excellent support player, him and ings were a great combo. If we find a good partner and try to keep Che, then we could have a formidable duo upfront. Bring on the Clear out!!

SR need to clear out the deadwood (diallo, aribo, elynossi, possibly AA and Onoachou), and bring in experienced players at this level. No stupid gambling, thinking outside the box or relying on Microsoft Edexcel. With this, promotion could be a viable option next season.
