How many, Uhmm, 'Returning Fans' have you come across?

I consider myself banned. Means I am the best part of a grand better off than I would have been. It's a pity though that the people running football teams are basically only interested in your money and you have cost them a grand. -

And does that matter one iota - there are two teams in a football match. I assume you spend your whole life watching every film that is on every screen at your local cinema - surely you do as that is your local cinema. Of course you don't, if you go at all, you pick and choose what you you go to see. For some people football is exactly the same, it is a game and you can pick and choose who you want to watch. I was toying with getting a season ticket again this year, first time since we left the premiership - but you know what I'm not going to, too blooming expensive. I have better things to spend £1000 on - not least Saints will be on the TV more this year so might as well watch it there. -
Two points, with a common theme. Rather than hide behind smoke, mirrors and flashy language why not just state 1. What exactly this new server, light years ahead of the current one, actually is, its configuration and let those in the know decide whether it's light years ahead or not 2. Rather than the "if you want to see the accounts, go download them yourself" stance why not just publish them on the board. If there is nothing to be ashamed off in them why the reluctance to make them available

Articulate - you used the wrong word - illiterate was the correct word - innit

Having lived in SA for 5 years in the 80's there is a good chance he will not wake up at all if one of those is in his sleeping bag :-(

I'm sure you know it was a different stadium in 1976

I've heard of sacrificial lamb and sacred cow - I guess this sacrificial cow must be a hybrid of some sort

The girl was a Reading fan and was in Southampton hospital. If you look back on the official site (I think) it was said that Murty would not be playing at Totton as he had a prior engagement. I assume visiting the hospital was the prior engagement.

Using an average ticket price of £20, a 17000 crowd brings in £340,000. I cannot imagine the match day costs being anywhere near that. Using completely guessed figures of say 30 players, average £5000 a week uses up £150,000 leaving about £200,000 for mortgage interest etc

I won't be buying a ST - firstly I much prefer to pick and choose if/when I go (I have a life other than football) and secondly the standard of the football is going to be even worse than the last few years.

Some of the girls were from the Portsmouth area and did indeed go to play for them. Several others went to Bristol, a couple to Arsenal and Fulham, who were the top team at that time. However Fulham reduced their support for their ladies team about the same time so all the full time players at Fulham disappeared to various other professional teams around the world, mainly USA and Sweden I think. This left a few team places for the Southampton people. One of the girls in that team has just been given a central contract by the FA.

My daughter played for them several years ago when they were still in the FA Ladies Premier League. From memory they fell like a stone and I think possibly disappeared completely when SFC/SLH withdrew their funding, shortly after they got relegated. A good parallel to the men's team actually

My son was in the same team too at Barton Peveril
