I'm not beating anyone I'm just voicing an opinion.

What a decent season looks like for a poor PL team
6ft8saint replied to benjii's topic in The Saints
I think your reply was what he was talking about and I think it was friendly banter. -
Manji I take what your saying but wouldn't it be nice to feel the club had done everything feasible to give the team a fighting chance of the step above fighting off relegation. And have the transfer business wrapped up so the team can bond into a well oiled unit a few weeks before the start of the season. I hope you're going to be right but we've been here before and been let down by SR and others

Is de gea still a free agent?
-
My football knowledge is pretty small in comparison to some others on here, however my son plays under 8s and is a fairly decent goalkeeper and therefore his team feel more confident with him between the post and often play better and more confident with strength at the back. Often relaxing to score more. I don't think I have seen it that way for a while with us. A new keeper would be great even if just a loan for the season. Who I'm not sure ramsdale would be excellent
-
Was he not on loan with juventus or did I imagine that????
-
I don't hate him but I do find his interviews like something out of the wizard of Oz. Lacking Courage, integrity. I just find it a bit fluffy. He got the team to perform last season and most of pre season but I believe the opposition up to Oxford flattered us and the wheels fell off when the opposition got better. He didn't come down the tunnel at the start of that match for 20mins. He took an age with sulemana sub and rather than changing the team at half time took till 65mins to put the 1st team on. Yes only a friendly but sets a concerning precedent. I really really hope we tie up the window well with some convincing signings other than players who we had last season (downes, thb, hopefully fraser)and we have a decent season.

This is that red and white tinted issue. Che might have scored 16 in championship but I say for everyone he scored he missed 5. We are now in the Premier league and based on the previous 4years in Premier league he played 124 games but only scored an average of 6.25 a season. Sorry that's a crap statistic. Glad he's gone we need more goals to win games. Che was never gonna do that so yes he was crap
-
Perhaps following your own advice might be good too. The whole point of a forum is opinion.
-
I worry he will try and fit Jack stephens in the defence somewhere
-
Good points... I just wonder if you'll still feel this way after we get beaten again in millwall tomorrow. I'm sure you'll counter this with it's only pre season but I worry currently we look weaker than we did last season and I'm not sure russ has any idea on his starting 11 and is still obsessed with the jack stephens project.
-
Perhaps we could just brick up the whole between the posts
-
At least I post rather than attack other users and che and Mara were both shit for every goal I'm sure they have fluffed 5+, some of them sitters
-
Che was worse than Mara. Both for us and Scotland we dodged a massive bullet . I think alot of people on here have red and white tinted glasses when it comes to certain players abilities
-
Often not there.... he does the same predictable step over and gets tackled or takes a step far rather than shooting or passing. It was wasteful tonight. What worries me is we don't really have a replacement or we didn't utilise it tonight. I think a little annoyed he was ready to replace sulemana and took 7mins and cost us the 1st goal
-
Even more so with tonight
-
Was he worse than alan pardew who left as he was all over a players wife.
-
Just read the Everton have just dropped their interest in Wilfred gnonto from Leeds was he ever on our radar. One of their best players in the last semi competitive game played?
-
He would 90% of the time pick up the ball and instead of running into the box to get behind defenders would instead pass backwards and or sideways. So great Brooks was he was in our list of players we must sign I think not.... As I have said before it's an opinion not the dictatorship some on here want it to be
-
I don't think Charlie taylor is from premier league. As for my comment on the Bournemouth players I mean sq.uad fillers not quality. Evan Brooks played shite
-
We So your up for getting rid of players who know how we play. No warming to the style well get from a new player with little or no pre season now. Then comes the issue the club seem reluctant to spend proper money and it would appear there are better proposition being made from or league and close rivals. So on your route we'll get rid of players and struggle to replace and end up with a Brooks or the Bournemouth player. We don't even have fraser yet and that should have been the easiest deal to do
-
Newcastle currently have 6 keepers and are tooting for a 7th in Ramsbottom
-
Why are we so concerned about bazunu. He won't be playing this season. He was often calamitous but seen the other options they are too. I am so fed up with what the media is saying right now about unhappy players requesting transfers and no decisive moves from the club. With what we have signed so far we will be struggling again. There is a reason we didn't play Mccarthy for 90% of the season. Baz getting injured was a blessing in disguise as he was getting like a collander. We need someone prem standard between the post and a prem capable striker. As for bad deals they say onuachu was our worst signing in recent times however I would say it was Stewart who we signed injured and is still injured. By the way this is a forum so everyone gets an opinion

I feel 19m + extras might be the deal here?

I read that it was to bring upto speed of the European game and then bring them to us later. A bit like the other Japanese guy and not enough fifa points to get a visa
