  1. Well, I think the point is it does - if all his goals are from 1 yard out I would say that skillet is easier to replace. If he scored 30 goals from 30 yards plus this season, I'm not sure you could replace that.
  2. Don't worry, I feel the same about Adams. He's scored 2 from a combined 3 yards out, and last season the whole forum wanted him gone. Now he's the second coming of Pele.
  3. Passing stats are poor as well. Joking aside though, as a striker he looks pretty good.
  4. Wonder if we'll stand firm on that - do a Gnonto on him.
  5. There are 6 posts on the last 3 pages that are similar on the risk of bringing in Stewart instead of Adams. All variations on a theme and all extremely dull. Why don't you tell us again about how you think we've missed out by not signing Piroe 😴
  6. You do love repeating yourself don't you? You remind me of my daughter, when she's hysterical she repeats herself over and over too.
  7. I think you're just under-estimating the financial aspect of the club - the huge spending last year and ultimately relegation. It's screwed us for a few years. They are looking to ensure we don't fall foul of FFP (which looks over a running 3 years), which would have been fine if we'd have stayed in the Prem last year, but not now.
  8. Akin to us losing ABK or Sully...
  9. Because the Championship has more stringent rules - it's points deductions rather than fines, which is far more serious for those that break it.
  10. As said before, I would expect the money issue to be around FFP - we spent so much last year and now with a huge drop of revenue, which reduces our ability to stay within the FFP regs, we cannot and will not be able to spend much money over the next 3 years or so. That spending last year has hamstrung us hugely.
  11. That's because 20 virgins probably wouldn't go down well.
  12. The funniest thing is those same people who are bemoaning Tella leaving at 24, probably wrote him off at 19 or 20.
  13. So hang on, there are some actual ITKs on this site, outside of the COT? I think the COT would do well to get Guan into the Circle - we need to be 100% sure who we can trust as there are many false prophets creating a lot of noise.
  14. The CoT have spoken - cheers for the info. For me, that's a huge risk not bringing in anyone to replace him.
  15. We brought in: - Gaston - J Rod - Clyne - Yoshida - Davis - Boruc We also had Luke Shaw and JWP come through the youth team, and then we brought in Pochettino half way through. We also released loads of players who had helped us up on free transfers or on loans (Harding, Sharp, Hammond, Barnard, Chaplow, Butterfield etc). We finished 14th on 41 points with 9 wins.
  16. More of a spine than the majority of posters on here, that's for sure.
  17. Not sure what your point is here? Leeds have new, very rich, owners. The take-over has been in the offing since May. I would assume that he is on a very long contract and they have convinced him to stay due to that, and the lack of any decent offers from the Prem. That article also says Leeds have a price set at £30m that Everton couldn't meet?
  18. He did, he refused to play. Leeds haven't got an acceptable offer yet, that's all - the only one they got was from the paupers at Goodison.
  19. Or an Air Fryer! But seriously, have you got an air fryer? They're incredible.
  20. One thing to really take into account is that last week we won away at a half decent Plymouth team, despite losing JWP, who has been a constant for so long and an incredibly important player. Smallbone also went off injured and Alcaraz unavailable. Then this week we've lost Tella and Adams, and no Smallbone from the start, and beaten another decent side. There has been a huge amount of chopping and changing, and how we've managed to get to 10 points from a possible 12 is really impressive to me. Much kudos has to go to RM and team.
  21. No, I'm not missing the point. The point is that RM said he was very similar to AA, so why do we need two similar players. What you or I think is irrelevant.
  22. Thats your opinion, Martin feels differently (as shown in his interview in July where he compares the two) @Fabrice29dug it out a couple of days ago.
  23. We were told what happened yesterday if you like to believe a lot of the rubbish in X - we had no guaranteed buyer for Adams due to Everton's inability to pay for than £1 a year for the next 15m years, so couldn't bring him in, or we weren't interested due to him being too similar to AA in style. Either one not on SR in my opinion.
  24. Listened to the interview, and yes it's an interview, but doesn't seem the knobber that he's made out to be.
