Dalglish won more as well. Klopp is a bit over-rated tbh.
-
He did - looked awesome.
-
There's another cryptic clue in there as well.
-
Look at the picture

Close, but no cigar.

As long as the spending is on infrastructure, and allows an increase in spending in the economy. Short term pain for long term gain.

I know, but I didn't know anyone called Dave Benson, so thought I'd add the Phillips nugget as well to prove my sources.
-
It was someone I had info on moving - do you really think I only get info about players from this club? I can't imagine others in the COT are purely Saints related.
-
So it turns out the other part of my info came true then, with Dave Brooks being preferred to Benson. Dave (Brooks) Benson (Manuel) Phillips (Kalvin) 3/3 for my info.

Well, especially the last 15 years.

Yeah, this country has been utterly destroyed over the last 15 years or so. Shit investment in the wrong areas. Nightmare.
-
OK - but we're trying to make the country a better place - money can be re-couped from increasing taxes back up to 50% for additional tax, non-Dom status etc. Universal credit is shit. Freezing pension age I agree with - not needed and will cost too much. However, this country is a fucking mess - it needs proper investment to improve it. How much for Track and Trace? How much for HS2? How much for dodgy PPE? How many billions wasted? Fucking Rwanda. All could have started us off in the correct direction.

Well, you wouldn't do it in one foul swoop, but you would do it piecemeal over time, as is happening with the railways now. Power and water needs to happen - we are all effectively paying a 100-150% tax (dependent on quarter) on our power due to not owning and generating enough of our own power. That equates to just over £60bn in additional spending. That does not include the £40bn the government spent on handouts. The cost to nationalise power - less than £3bn. That's a lot of money that would have been better spent re-nationalising, de-coupling and future proofing our grid. Or even just creating a British Power company to run alongside. As said, we are currently re-nationalising failing railway franchises, the Royal Mail is about to fail and will also be re-nationalised. Water is also now a huge issue, and it won't be long until that needs to come back in to Government power as the water companies refuse to pay for infrastructure work - issue is that one is very expensive, around £90bn.
-
OK, so what do you disagree with? 12 policies - would be good to hear 12 salient arguments against them.
-
He called out Russian war crimes, but is turning a blind eye to the Israeli ones. That's support in my eyes. Again, I never said he wouldn't be better than the Tories - but then that's like saying Chlamydia is better than Aids.

Magic of the Cup.

Just looking back at it now. Christ it sounds good: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2019-50501411 Can't imagine many people would disagree with many of these now! If only McDonnell and Corbyn had floppy hair, spoke like a posh toddler from Middle Earth, and got women pregnant just by looking at them.
-
Was Starmer disingenuous then as well, or were you all sycophantically praising his every move because he faked to be interested? There is nothing in the World that would make me want to vote Tory at the next election. That doesn't mean Starmer is any good though. The worst thing is, if you look back at the 2019 election, Corbyn's policy make sense now. It's a shame, but I think for the good of the country Corbyn would be better than Starmer. Plus I bet he wouldn't be supporting the crimes going on in Gaza atm.
-
Don't disagree with what either of you are saying, it's just sad times at the moment and the country needs a proper reset. It's the only way to be able to "make Brexit work" (if it can, which we all know is rather pie in the sky).
-
Do you think he's a decent person? Personally pre-Gaza I was hopeful, although a number of policies that the Tories were putting in (right to protest etc) he said he WASN'T looking to reverse. I now look at his reluctance to call out war crimes in Gaza (versus his very quick accusations of the Russian's) and that makes me start to feel very nervous that he is just Tory light. This country needs a proper change. Investment in infrastructure - re-nationalising power, water and Royal Mail. It needs a proper top-down analysis of the NHS to understand how to make it a workable system. We need joint up thinking when it comes to house building, and the need for more social housing. There needs to be an increase of pay for nurses, doctors and dentists, to ensure we can bring in/train up the amount of workers we need. It will take money, but the tax system needs an overhaul anyway. We need a full on step change, but every sector has to help to feed into the next (for example housebuilding/planning permission and energy creation for the grid). I'm just worried that Starmer will not do what is needed.

I don't think anyone should ever boast about working for the CPS, they've been a fucking shambles for 40 years.

So with the price of second hand petrol cars increasing, and electric cars plummeting, (2020 iPace for circa £20k, Model 3 £18k, Etron and EQC around £25k) is it now worth it to purchase these cars. We need a "local" car to replace our 150k mile Disco 4, and we also have solar panels, so was thinking about it now the prices have dropped so much. Any EV owners have any interesting insights into this?

Surely @Turkish @COT I have now proven myself as a reliable source for the Circle of Trust... https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/68078714
