No shit...players are only good if they're good. Thank God we've got you to cut through all the guff.
-
Isn't it funny, get pelters for posting, then get pelters for not posting. Love the player link you shared yesterday on the WhatsApp group though Turkish - got everything crossed for it to come through 🙏

Good to see we're trying to do business early.
-
Wood is fine as a cheap backup option - young and a known quantity to the Manager (apparently played his best football under Martin).
-
Simpler than that - our loan contract ran out yesterday, so the new contract (and the transfer of registration) took place today.
-
Broja has proven he isn't good enough for the PL. Delap did pretty well in the Championship and is unproven in the Prem. If the prices were the same I *may* take Broja, but as soon as he becomes more expensive I take Delap.
-
Turkey, Holland and Portugal...He's just not good enough.
-
If they were his stats in 2003, he must be 51 now 😳
-
£15m is what I thought it would take tbh.
-
I think we just witnessed peak Turkish.
-
And people say Russell plays boring football - at least we get some payload at times.
-
Just spoke to a Villa fan, apparently he is shit hot. Also to do with FFP and signing Matsen - they need a high income for this year on the sale and they're spending more on Matsen to counter that. Essentially taking a loan from Chelsea (financial loan).
-
I know, I didn't say it was?
-
Not necessarily going to be better than Stewart though, and if not give Onauchu another try?
-
£83m yep, but take into account that transfers are amortised over contract lengths, so the transfers from 2 years ago will count for the same amount this year. That means that figure needs to be removed (probably £25-30m). Then there is the fact that last financial results we had (2021-2022) we made a £43m loss before transfers out, so let's be brave and remove 2/3rds of that, so that's another £30m. So out of that £83m, we've probably got £25m to £30m left to pay for a portion of amortised transfers, signing fees and agent fees. And we've probably spent £7-9m of that already.

Does everyone kinda see why I wasn't overly excited about getting promoted last season? This season is going to be a proper slog.

I made this point the other day
-
Sarmiento? Marcelo Tejera?
-
Hopefully he doesn't leave oppo players with mushroom.
-
I'd take a central striker who can get 13 goals - we have Armstrong on one wing who should do similar as well. Think of them as a Wish version of Pelle and Mane 🤣
-
As above, it's indicative numbers, but shows how we won't have much money this year.
-
How do you think Farmers run their businesses..?
-
Yeah, but they're illustrative numbers, not 100% correct. However, you can see the basic maths behind it.
-
No, cos that's Balance Sheet, not P&L.
-
Because we had an approx £100m drop in revenue in the Championship last season. In 2021/2022 we made a £43m loss without the sale of players. So... 2022/2023: £120m loss 2023/2024: £85m profit 2024/2025: £70m loss (including £25m in transfers) Means a loss of £105m over 3 years. Next season we will be able to make a £120m loss, so £75m in transfers. Please also remember that player sales are included against that year's P&L, whereas transfers are amortised over the length of the contract, so every year we are still paying for legacy players.
