  1. People overlooking Lallana?

    Tyler Dibling

Signed a new contract a year ago until 2026, which i assume is end of June. 18 months wouldn't mean we sold to the first tyre-kicker. Selling in January makes little sense to both the club and the player (his development will be slowed by no longer being one of the first names on the teamsheet).
  3. Orri Oskarsson would be nice. I'd rather we sell him to city than Kobenhavn.
  4. England U21 keeper. Played in the last qualifier under Carsley.... being tracked by Arsenal.
  5. "Context", if you will 😉
  6. Yes, I've been thinking that he should be on the list too.. with Haji Wright, Chris Wood, Nketia... may be Piroe too
  7. It makes so much sense.. with an obligation to buy. I get all the reasons for leaving last year. He is better than anything we have in midfield (obviously way too early on Fernandes). Please get this done
  8. So, who is on the list as the desperately needed 9? Broja (??) Abrahams Ioannidis Kalimuendo
  9. Interestingly, Kotarski is just above him in the list. He was linked several times much earlier in the transfer window (and weirdly was not in Croatia's euro 24 squad).
  10. And can I ask if you are pleased/excited by the name... or is it not really much of an improvement? Thanks
  11. I haven't really seen anything of Asprilla but his is another name that has been mentioned numerous times (though with no actual links suggesting we are interested). Watford are resigned to losing him for the right price
  12. Gustavo Hamer would be a cracking alternative... and cheaper if its about the fee or getting money from player sales first
  13. I had a similar issue when getting tickets for Manchester United recently. As that fixture is category A, the friends & family members have to be a current member or ST holder and have a purchase history. You may find the current customer rule applies for all matches ???
  14. Hlozek is a secondary forward that plays off and behind a centre forward. I would not have thought this is the type of player we need. I would like to see some concrete links though to a central striker. I can't think of any flash or particularly exciting names though. Saints would be taking a punt on a player with a good record in a league such as the Eredivisie or Belgium... and we already have one of those
  15. I had been wondering when it would be available online. I suspect it will prove popular. Would be interested in the shirt sales of both this seasons and last seasons Starling-sponsored shirts in men's sizes
  16. And he scored a couple of worldies on debut for Blackburn at Selhurst Park. IIRC, Speedie was instead of a sell on clause?!
  17. You can buy the Southamton FC women's team shirts in all sizes, including for men. You can also buy Southampton FC men's team shirts in all sizes, including for women. Outcry averted
  18. Good! I want it to be available on the app, rather than it be emailed. And, only the QR code is released that late. The ticket is available to transfer well in advance of that.
  19. Question... if a ticket is transferred to a friends and family member and you enter their email address, do they receive a link to the ticket via email and scan that at the turnstile? ... or will the ticket appear in their Saints ticket app on their phone? Thanks
  20. Mikautadze impressing again. Similar to Arma, mind.
  21. Would like a home match on 31 August.. please 🙏

    Adam Lallana

Until last summer I was still resentful of how Lallana (allegedly) left the club. It was the only one of 2 transfers that annoyed me. VVD can still rot in hell. However, as I said, last summer after relegation I actually thought Lallana could be a left field appointment. To me it felt an opportunity for both. So for him to return now, with what seems a dual role, actually still makes a lot of sense. You can't put a price on experience and intelligence (he is very highly rated already and is well regarded within the FA). It's a no brainer for me. But, it's just my opinion.
  23. It was only a criticism insofar as that it's not his character to grab the team by the scruff of the neck. Indeed, I pointed out that he worked harder as that is his natural reaction to the situation the team was in. It's just that that was not what was required in a time of struggle. I would welcome him back but I don't feel he has to come back eith the armband being a precondition
  24. IMO, he was not a good captain in a side that drifted and struggled. Instead of leading and getting more from the players, he just tried to do more of the work.. which ultimately took away from his own play. He was a terrific player for us, but he is not a leader. We just didn't have an alternative (or one they were prepared to entrust with the armband [cough, Romeu])
  25. JWP would be a no-brainer, if available at the right price and terms.
