Maybe hoping for some link up play through Fernandes and Sulemana to chase the long balls now we have realised we can kick it away. Problem being Sulemana appears to have little creative ability once he's run by folks. Maybe not the lihe up we would like but for now a clean sheet and chances cleared would make me happier. Archer to come on and win it hopefully.

Can we also get a total minutes played stat for each before these last 2 matches though, Has Ross Stewart even totalled 90 minutes for us since signing? People saying 2 years without a goal for Onuachu but again he's not had the continued game time and even spent the last season in another league, hardly likely to score for us from there......although we could probably find a way to concede
-
Agreed but then again officially he got the assist for Dibling. Armstrong off for Archer, Aribo for big Les please
-
Happier with that display, give TP some more match time please and am sure will see him bag a few. Good performances all round in the main, though still unsure about Sulamena as he seems to have pace but no idea what to do with the ball when hes not going full tilt

Good 1st half from our point and also any neutral. We have looked to play forwards not sideways or back, when we have gone back Ramsdale has hoofed it clear of danger. Tall Paul showing what he can do, which is cause mischief and give us something to play out towards. Some good tackles by defence and the midfield is pressing well with options left and right. Is optimism allowed?
-
Happy with the line up, Armstrong should work well with Onachu. Ugochukwu and Downes in central almost nailed on for a booking apiece but it's got some bite now we need the energy levels.
-
Sometimes they even let him ref the game!
-
"O the grand old Duke we've bought He's coming with his mate Juan They will drag us up to the top of the league And we will never go down again" It appears the new manager syndrome is making me deliriously optimistic.
-
What does Tall Paul have to do to get into the starting line up? Surely he has proved he can cause issues on the pitch.

Some bite would be nice. 2nd to every ball, moving at what seems like half speed whilst Liverpool stroll around the pitch. The goals I can't condemn the 1st one it's an unlucky drop after a hopeful ball but would have been nice to see the lines on Nunez but that would probably be me just looking for any excuse. Do we actually have a set piece coach? If so they are stealing a living, from the free kick in the first few minutes to the one at the end. -

Still no Tall Paul starting, thought he played well last time till they nobbled him. -
What situations can the fans accept with the new manager?
GrumpyYorkshireSaint replied to Nolan's topic in The Saints
For the sake of our sanity please not another manager who proudly points at stats and spouts pure nonsense whilst we fail to actaully gain points! Whoever comes will be too well aware that relegation, whilst not a statisical certainty, is almost probably certain. The squad will need to be divided into those that will stay for the next season and those who deem themselves above Championship level football (Against all proof to the contrary so far from most.) I'm not advocating a firesale of players but we will need to trim down whilst trying to keep some experience to mix with the youth. Use any funds raised to add some spine to the defence and bite to the attack, although if we gave some of the players a better run in the team they might actually be what we have needed. The tactics will sort themselves out as the new manager imposes their style but if we could just actually attack it would be an improvement. We have attacking options but seem to have hammered into them the need to keep the ball and not shoot if there is a backwards or sideways pass available. Alas though for all our thoughts and opinions on this and all club matters it's down to Sports Republic so yeah.... -
Didn't VAR rule one out for us a few weeks ago for that kind of tackle on a defender?

Actually looked like the ref was reaching to a pocket after blowing up but changed his mind. Must have made 5 or 6 fouls, some cynical. -

No striker? Bit puzzled by this team selection but I will watch with interest -
Fraser did win the ball and charge forward but then had to pass back once near the corner flag and it fizzled out yet again.
-
Do you think the lads have been told not to shoot because if we score they get the ball back and that goes against our possession stats?

Has anyone told the lads they can pass forward in the other teams half? -
Hmm. I thought it was my pc that froze but nope it's Sky but I'm still getting updates from the game

Wow. Went from incredulous to irate to gleefully thankful in the space of 30 seconds there.

Sat at work and even the BBC updates are not mentioning this match. Is it really that bad?
