  1. Excellent post!
  2. For as long as I can remember Saints have started the season poorly (I'm thinking late 80's - mid 90's when I used to go regularly in particular). However, often through necessity, we usually produce championship-winning form in the new year. I think on a few occasions in the 90'ss we finished in the top five of the form league after Christmas to avoid the drop. I'm more than hopeful this trend will continue especially as we start to get a sniff of the playoffs/auto positions. It sounds flippant to say this but this is the way Saints do things - it's the way it's always been - i.e. never make it easy for ourselves.

    Waffle!!

I think it's been alluded to already by a previous poster but I think the stock answers and manerisms are as a result of some awful interviewing. Seriously - managers are asked the most ridiculous and repetitive questions which the interviewer knows full well can not be fully answered. I have to do press frequently as I make video games for a living and the world-wide gaming press are in the main idiots!! I get asked the same redundent questions over and over - you don't want to be cliched but at the end of the day (see what I did there ) it's all the morons will listen to generally. For example, NA said in one of his first interviews that he likes to keep injury/team news out of the public domain (for obvious reasons) and yet in all his pre-match interviews the lame reporters have repeatedly asked him about it.
  4. that number is ****! Another office apparently - could only give me the glasto number!!!! Joke!!
  5. Ooooo on hold via 01159934400!!!
  6. I've been using http://www2.seetickets.com/g2001 http://www.seetickets.com/g2001 http://www2.seetickets.com/g2011/reg...method=DEPOSIT
  7. very odd - watching the trend #glasto on twitter and quite a few are getting straight on in minutes - whilst others (like me) are not getting a sniff... lottery or something else?
  8. what number you using DPS?
  9. lucky you!
  10. http://www2.seetickets.com/g2011/regform.asp?orig=uk&method=DEPOSIT found on readytogo currently not working but another link to try
  11. I just let it wash over me tbh. I stopped being that bothered about football in general a long time ago. I still support the team and go to as many games as I can but my priorities changed when I had kids, got a mortgage and got married etc etc (yeah alright grandad... jog on) There are illegal wars being waged and natural disasters claiming thousands of lives and hundreds of other things to get worked up about - I think a fair few here would do well to have a think about that when they post trash about pointless stuff that you have no control over anyway. Here's a reactionary suggestion: Your team needs YOU - get behind them!
  12. Check this vid out of Gate13's (Panathinaikos) passionate support... inspirational "wall of noise": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edvTOo2gpgc
  13. http://www.itv.com/meridian-west/saints-manager-u****49588/ Replace **** with n c u t (no spaces obviously to get round the Hitler filter)
  14. It's not the right place for it - but it's obviously "fill-in" flash possibly with a couple of reflectors. See this image for a similar result: http://www.kern-photo.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/on-axis_fill_ring_flash_portrait_photography_in_colorado02.jpg This combined with the diminishing lighting conditions and voila - the shot you see of our new manager looking dramatic! After that photography lesson I'd like to wish Nigel and "Crozzer" all the best.
  15. http://bit.ly/4tzPRn Using bit.ly you can shorten links... it's not very descriptive though so perhaps not that informative... it does negate the need to type in c u n t into the URL tho.
  16. Or... a shrewd, single-minded businessman that refuses to pander to the traditions and antiquated conventions prevalent in English football. I'm Cortese-neutral but I agree we're going to lose more friends than we gain swimming against the tide.
  17. One things for certain - NC won't like the fact this is now being played out in public. No wonder the Scuuny chairman can't get hold of him.
  18. Excellent appointment IMO (assuming clubs can agree compensation) - very, very happy. Never warmed to Pardew - I found him a little egotistical and self serving - and once the relationship with NC/other members of staff became "strained" there was only one inevitable outcome. I really don't care why he eventually got the "boot" - more important things in life to worry about personally. Adkins on the other hand seems like a decent man with the requisite intelligence to realise NC's visions. 100% behind this appointment. Onwards and upwards!
  19. I hope the fella does well and gets the team firing - certainly not under-whelmed - 100% support from me. He must feel confident coming to us and perhaps the relationship with all concerned will be better having been thought-out and discussed re: the ethos and structure we are implementing. Perusing the Scunny forum he is well "thought of" so bodes well. I genuinely hope he is a success - it's in his interests as well as ours - he's said himself he is extremely ambitious.

    Kevin Keegan

Agree. KK was a saints hero of mine (and many others I suspect) and I think would serve his purpose extremely well in this current situation. He's a motivator first and foremost and would re-install that (currently missing) winning mentality that Pardew successfully implemented last year. As somebody else said - it might not last long but would be good fun, maybe Certainly ticks the WOW factor box!
  21. I gotta say this is one of the best threads I've read on here in ages. Just had a pooh and read it on my iPod touch - some real lol moments. Well done all concerned - some of the Python/subtle stuff has been very good.
  22. Edited for being a load of sh*t
  23. Some proper muppets troll on these forums these days - so what if the OP wants to start his own thread - what's it gotta do with anyone else? Numerous duplicate posts is one thing but jeez - the Jeremy Kyle generation really have lost the plot... frankly I'm sick of coming here anymore. Where do I get my fiver back? - I'm going back to Saintslist - decent conversation on there back in the mid-nineties. (apologies to OP for posting my ramblings in their thread) As you were.
  24. I live very close to Man City and they are having this kind of pitch done this summer too.
  25. This should be played in the last few minutes before the players exit the tunnel at every home game. I love the way ManU run out to 'This is the One' by the Stone Roses... gets everyone up for it. However - at no other point during the game should music be used.
