Nice one, thought I was losing it for a minute...

I'm confused or I've lost count lol. Is it 19 wins at home in all comps? 17 in the league? I keep seeing the two different figures mentioned...

Stockings all the way!

Short trip for me and my lad (who is 8 next month) from East Manchester. Hoping this time he catches the bug

A fan in the board? Who was the front runner???

Jesus... that statue makes me chuckle so much For a moment when I first saw it again tonight I thought I had dreamt it all. Only Saints could cock that up so spectacularly. -
Dunno what all the fuss is about really. I remember them getting thumped in a cup final replay with ManU in the 80's and that's about it... they mean absolutely nothing to me. I don't care who their manager is, what their new stadium is called. how many fans they get each week. Nothing. I couldn't give a rats ar*e where they finish this season either, top, middle or bottom. Only one team I care about and those boys play in the red 'n' white stripes! Up the Saints.

My lad is a ManU supporter but I don't mind this fact as he was born and is being raised in Manchester. Call me old fashioned but I firmly believe in supporting your home-town club. Deep down though I know he has a soft spot for Saints and that's the way it should be. If I'm honest I like seeing Utd win too as most of my wife's family support them, some going way back to the Busby era and I like seeing them happy. There ya' go... Utd supporters from Manchester - true story

Bloody brilliant! Huge well done to all those involved. One question, will the flag make reappearances? Or is it just a one off to be folded up and stored some-place? Apologies if been over this, I haven't been on much in recent months with redundancy and life getting in the way off footy etc etc

I remember Noadswood having this massive rep when I was at Applemore ('85 - '90) but all mouth and no trousers as I recall.

I took my lad last season to his first game (age 6) and he enjoyed it but he's a Manchester born and bred lad and the pressures on him following the red devils is going to be a tough battle as his mum and her family are all massive Utd fans. I've not given up the fight just yet as I want him to decide... however... I'm a massive believer in supporting your home-town club... always have been... -
yep have to agree with last couple of posts... momentum is with Udders.. unbeaten in 21 is it?? and although not playing blistering football themselves they don't seem likely to concede either.. we on the other hand seem extremely nervous. Crowd can play a big part in this I reckon. Defo squeaky bum time.

fecking Rochdale getting beat.. just proves teams do possibly raise their game against us as NA suggests as I thought they were well worth the points on Tuesday night.

Pop home for my tea (east manchester) then off for the 15 minute drive to Spotland... can't wait.. a lot less travel than for Saturday at Orient - although I work in Sheffield so time-wise it might actually take as long as the train did on Saturday to London

Just got back from game - one word to describe that display AWESOME! Never in doubt and they never had a sniff apart from a little spell in the second half - total domination. Fonte was immense as was Guly and Oxo! Not fair to single anyone out really.

I'm only 20 minutes away too although without the Manc accent Wrap up warm - I went for a run at lunchtime and it was freeeeezing up here.

I won that blue kit in a competition run by the club shop - IIRC the comp was along the lines of... "tell us how we could improve the club shop." I filled in the comp questionnaire without a thought about winning when low-and-behold my mum takes a phone call saying I had won. I had to be at the club shop before the home game when that kit went on sale to be presented with the kit by.... JIMMY CASE!!! My hero at the time... I could barely speak to him when I was having photos etc. I remember him saying he wasn't sure about the kit personally because it would clash with the spectators - something like that anyway. Happy days... great player Case - great guy too. So even though it's blue I have a soft spot for that kit. Didn't we wear that kit in the ZDS final too????

Lallana - having just watched his interview on saintsplayer this morning I am really impressed with the way he has developed - not just as a player but as a person. He comes across like a really genuine - honest - young lad. He fielded questions regarding Bale and Walcott's continued progress at a higher level with great aplomb and integrity. He stressed that he wants to get promoted with Saints and is enjoying his football. Having heard Bale speak recently too (he comes across as a well adjusted and grounded individual too despite the crazy press he's getting) it makes you feel quite proud at how these young men have been developed by a great setup at Saints. Surman - whilst also seemingly a decent young fella has a little bit a rebuilding to do after he was sold to get us some cash. A sign of a great player is one who can overcome hiccups and setbacks - I reckon he has the capacity to do it too since he;s from the same good stock.
