  1. I've got two boondoggles... saving them...
  2. ...another needed before I pop a boondoggle!!!
  3. No, no, no... promoted at Middlesbrough.. I've foreseen it
  4. SW11 - cheers for the tips! I live in Manchester now so used to big-city-vibes... only two of us making this trip so should be able to 'blend into the background' although might be tricky when promotion is sealed : )
  5. Never been out up there before despite spending a year in Boro doing my MSc.. .you know where we should head in the evening when back form Boro??? Assume red n white stripes won't be a good idea in Newcastle city centre too?
  6. An excellent post Mr Stickman and the above excerpt I felt worthy of highlighting ! Bravo ! See you in the trenches... 3 game season now folks COYR!!!!!! Well up for this
  7. We'll be promoted at Middlesbrough.. I've been saying it for weeks.. I'm going up there because I believe it so much... B E L I E V E !! Out on the P I S S in Newcastle on Saturday night come what may!! See you there
  8. Genuine lol... just the sheer audacity to keep posting the things you do... you're not alone of course but it cracks me up.. people fall for it time after time as well...
  9. Nah, too old and boring these days to be starting songs in pubs! At the time (I was 14-15) I used to enjoy the back of the Milton... didn't have a care in the world and didn't read too much into the terrace songs of the time.. the nippers gobbing down from the family stand used to do my head in though

    Hooiveld song

Would it be sung at its usual pace though??? I can't imagine everyone doing the brass sections in-between the first two lines... actually.. might be quite amusing... All You Need is Jos. (De de ner ne ner) All You Need is Jos. (De de ner ne ner) All You Need is Jos, Jos,... Jos is all you need. Or how about instead of the (De de ner ne ner)... Clap, clap, clap, clap
  11. ...'ampshire ambulance surely?
  12. That'll be me then
  13. Reading to take a point here with a weakened midfield and target Friday night as the more winnable fixture.
  14. I'll follow that by saying... I'm not sure I truly, really want to go back to the Prem.. we win more games than we lose down here... Perhaps we could do a time-share next season... if we don't like it we sacked it off and come back down here
  15. I bet SKY do as well. The Prem has all but fizzled out now with excitement mounting for who clinches 4th place!!! FFS!
  16. ONE TEAM IN HAMPSHIRE! Nice and loud and continuous....says everything for me
  17. I wouldn't bother... we're only up there because WHU have been so poor and under performed. According to KUMB they really ought to of walked this league with all their premiership players, full internationals and budget. It has absolutely nothing to do with how well we have played of course.
  18. Shocked by this, on the back of some terrible personal news too... really hope for some positive news in the next few hours.
  19. ****in come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. This. You could keep it going for ages with accompanying clapping too...
  21. I've always wanted the "welcome to the Dell" or was it "you are now entering the Dell" sign that hung in the players "tunnel". I wonder what became of that?
  22. 38 Born in the General (the old one that's not there anymore) Grew up mostly in Marchwood but spent weekends at my nan's in Orchard Lane which I guess is on the edge of the Chapel district. Also spent a few years in Northam (the Millbank Tower estate) which was tough as I remember it. Went to Uni, met my wife and followed her back to her native Manchester... the rest as they say is history. Family still in the Waterside area and St. Deny's. One of my first home games was against Arsenal, I think we won 1-0. I was hooked and as soon as I was old enough - became a Milton Muppet... Anyone remember the odd bloke in the tight leather jacket who would appear 2 minutes bofore kick-off clutching his sticks of celery... which obviously resulted in everyone chanting the celery song!!
  23. Jesus we have some serious cases of Alzheimer's on this forum.. lest we forget the ****** taking we have had to endure over the last few seasons... I for one am enjoying being so far ahead of the skates... points will be dropped along the way during this run-in.. get used to it.. from all teams too not just Saints.. enjoy the ride and LOL at those fishy folk down the road... I'm lovin' it I tells ya'
  24. Anyway... I run with a Leeds season ticket holder at my running club and he can only see a comprehensive Saints win as "Leeds have been gash this year", his words, not mine. I mentioned the Warnock factor and he considered this for a second whilst we entered the final 400m or our 4th 1.3km interval and responded with "nah! We are sh*te". Faced with this first hand information on our next opponents I'm going for a Saints-to-f***-it-up 2 nil to them
