  1. HELL YEAH!......GO TRUMP!!! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!! Lots of luv....your fave DEPLORABLE ex Limey
  2. Wrong again fool....Youth national teams and academies, and Major League Soccer youth club teams who self imposed the heading restriction for under 10's and 13's after substantial child concussion research are private entities and have absolutely nothing to do with the US Federal, or State Governments, although i wouldn't expect you, as a 'subject' of one of the worlds most oppressive nanny states to even be able to comprehend the difference....It's all "they" to people like you.
  3. Like i said...from your prospective of being bought up in a nanny state you don't understand the freedom that citizens elsewhere get to enjoy even with some consequences and by the looks of it never will. but that's OK no one's asking you too, or even expecting you too....You guys shaped things the way you like it over there, it sure involves a lot of things that wouldn't fly elsewhere, but the same can be said of some other places. The difference is, people from other Countries don't keep insisting that everyone should be like them. Limeys are notorious for being obsessively judgmental and poking your noses in where it doesnt belong and this thread just highlights that. You folks seem to be desperately trying to find some kind of justification for the way things are over there with this constant need to produce all these foreign straw-men. It's really quite bizarre that you allow events that take place half way around the world effect you so much.....I'm not sure if it's some kind of inferiority complex or just jealousy, or both. Why aren't you just happy that you live somewhere that you clearly believe is so perfect? why the worrying and hand wringing about what others are up to, especially if they're of zero risk to you or the life choices you love so much. As for the other obsession of me being some kind of fantasist who lives in Scholing or somewhere?...Not that i could really care less what anyone on here thinks, but just for the record. I don't tell lies, not even on the Internet, I have no reason too, I am who i say i am and have achieved just about everything I've wanted and subsequently have also been able to live pretty much wherever I've wanted, and that happens to be the US and more specifically New Orleans, Louisiana. All as a result of working hard, independent thinking and making good choices over the years, despite being born on a Council Estate in a socialistic **** hole and was forced to leave home and school at 16...So no, Scholing, Southampton etc never lived there, never will. I can't say I'm sorry some of your lives are so mundane you can't even conceive the notion of anyone rejecting an oppressive nanny state along with being bought down to the lowest common denominator, who then gets off their ass and does something about it....That's clearly outside the scope of many people here and your apathy will as always, get you what you deserve....Just because your happy with your lot, doesn't mean everyone else is. Anyway you folks will be pleased to know I'm out of this thread...I only ever posted on here to highlight the platform of ignorance you're lecturing from and to hold a mirror up so you can get a good look at your selves......and judging by the reaction, I guess that hit a very raw nerve......Well at least y'all got a peek at your selves, fraid i couldn't do much about the ignorance, that's down to you, but now its just repeats and name calling, so time for me to bow out with far better things to do...so y'all can carry on obsessing about the United States in peace and without interruption from me.
  4. Wow you're really hurt aren't you...that's some claim you made there, so how about backing it up with a quote of me actually saying that?...Of course you can't because i never did...just one of of your many fantasies along with your old 'Escoli' internet tough guy you lived off for so long......The one you used before we all found out you were actually a coward who was too scared to get involved with the real fighting, preferring to cower in your bedroom while your buddies you set up were out there getting a good hiding. So I'm going to add the word liar next to State certified coward after your name.....and as for me being full of ****...I've been totally clear that I've left the UK twice. The first time was never permanent, the second time was....... Surely with all those old post's of mine you've been so obsessively rummaging through you would have seen it, no accounting for being blinded by rage though Just because half your life has been a lie and a fantasy doesn't mean everyone else is as ****ed up as you
  5. Heh, lemme tell you something.... back in the day when i lived over there I put a flag pole in my front yard and and permanently flew a Saint Georges cross, not because i was particularly patriotic, more to make a stand on principle against the liberal mantra of it being seen as offensive to some people. Sure enough, I had one anonymous note put though my letterbox from some gutless liberal asking me to remove it as they found it "offensive" and some time later a letter from the Council also asking me to remove it as it had been reported as causing offense...I responded by taking a trip down to the Council offices and told her she could go to hell, i never heard any more from her.. Along with some regular dialog with my MP, In those couple of years i probably did more for freedom of expression on your oppressive little Island than most of you have done in your lifetime. Now i proudly fly the Louisiana State flag and Old Glory either side of my front porch and no one's said a damned thing, imagine that Talking of freedom of expression, why on earth are you and the other liberal types on here taking so much offense to the word "limey"...is there nothing that doesnt offend you guys to the core?
  6. You're quite correct and no one has ever said they were....Like I've said in previous post's it comes as part of the price of freedom.....Some countries like the UK prefer to legislate down to the lowest common denominator. One or two citizens do something dumb or one bad incident and your whole Country gets hit's with blanket legislation and surveillance and there's barely a thing you can do about it, even if you had the will to do so, and you clearly don't. That's how limey's became the most State surveilled citizens in the World. 1 State cctv camera per 10 citizens, the world of Orwell, yup not even North Korea comes anywhere close. And that's why you folks have so much trouble understanding the US, a country that has personal freedom built into it's very DNA and like most of the world, have absolutely no desire to be like you...They didn't back in 1776 and we still don't now. In the mean time this thread has now hit 2.6k obsessive post's about a foreign Country and more recently about me....It's comical watching you folks from the Isle of surveillance and violence (more riots today i see) sit there lecturing people around the world about how we should live our lives just like you. Think ya'll will get it over 3k before the holidays?...how about getting it bigger than the skate thread? then you can really show the world how obsessed y'all are....So carry on folks.
  7. Interesting you say this about me but were happy to nod along and even join with the year long and 2.5k "Dumb yank" stereotyping thread based on exactly the same type of post's...But now it's different....yeah, that makes you a hypocrite too. Ive even said several times some of the issues here are part of the cost of freedom....Those folks over on the Isle of violence gave up their freedom to be wrapped up in cotton wool by their Government and still didn't get to be safe, far from it....I just happen to agree with Ben, even 200 years ago he had it nailed. “They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”...... Ben Franklin
  8. Most Americans don't get the experience of actually living over there so for a long time viewed The UK etc through Hugh Grant and Queen tinted glasses. They see friendly bobbies on the street and quaint English pubs etc and assume there is a lot in common in the very fabric of the two countries...There's also a tendency to gloss over the bad stuff, especially when your business relies on happy customers...Did the German Cafe have any Nazi paraphernalia on it's walls?...I'm guessing not...And Germany is not the UK What they don't see, is the thousands of armed response cops lurking in vans in the back streets at any given night around the UK, the State camera's on every street corner, the near uncontrolled mayhem, violence and stabbings in city centers and elsewhere, the virtual removal of the right to self defense and the right to protect your property, the removal of cops in many towns, the grip the State has on it's citizens from planning and building control, MOT's. Health and Safety, garbage can inspections, TV licensees, huge tax's on Gas, not to mention the NHS etc, etc, etc....Sure we have some similar laws in parts of the US but not even close to the rigidity and pedanticness of the UK...Even the most ardent liberals over here who love their Government regulation would run a mile if they saw what you folks had to go through to get a simple brake tag for their vehicle, or getting arrested for not paying a TV license or even putting a coke can or cardboard box in their garbage can etc. Perception is changing though...The internet is outing a more realistic view of the UK from here...like i said before, less Hugh Grant and more Train spotting....Not that anyone would really care enough to say anything much, you're not going to find a 2.5k unprovoked thread about all the **** wrong with Britain anywhere on an American football forum...Most peeps respect choices here, we'll make our choices to live the way we see fit and leave others to do the same...unless of course they **** with our interest's
  9. No problem...I'll be sure to let peeps know there's a limey in Ohio telling them how they should be thinking and how I'm failing at being an American.....I'm sure they'll understand...Not sure why you and others keep insisting I'm ranting, I'm just putting my opinion forward, responding to a few post's and holding a mirror up to the obsessed and ignorant hypocrites on here...I guess i shouldn't expect any other kind of reaction from a herd of limeys though, being different from the crowd will get you punched, kicked, glassed or knifed on your average Saturday night down the pub for sure and you can see same herd mentality on here. BTW...I saw the UK for what it was when i left the country the for first time back in the late 70's when it was self destructing prior to Maggie and has absolutely nothing to do with living in the US.....I'm here because i choose to live among like minded people, my disdain for that socialistic and near totalitarian state way precedes my arrival and totally unrelated other than to provide the motivation to get the hell out of Dodge....To coin a phrase from here......Only thing wrong with the UK is it's full of limeys. @ The Bedroom general...that's a relief to know....I'd be concerned if i had anything in common with a groveling coward...say's a lot about you and peer pressure when you feel the need to use the word "we" behind your insults....real sheeple playground stuff there, true to form buddy, keep it up @boscombescummer So you've lived here for 10 years but you're going "home" for a month in December...Is that to mommy?...Cringe away buddy, no one's going to stop you.
  10. Keep it up guys, this obsession ya'll have is starting to get amusing, in a bizarre kinda way. It's funny to watch how ya'll care so much about how foreigners live half way round the world. The way you so dutifully trot off and spend hours digging up stats and links and burst blood vessels hurling abuse ......In the mean time, right on your own doorstep there's a 16yr old kid who went to school a few days back and gets a knife stuck in his gut "up close and personal and eye to eye" as Ohio Saint would say http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3293684/Schoolboy-taken-hospital-injuries-male-held-police-incident-secondary-school.html And guess what?...yup not a squeak to to be seen or heard any where on here...I guess it's just another day on the Isle of Violence, just another slaying with Britain's favorite weapon and not worthy of discussion eh?...At least a good old limey 20 on 1 punch up gets a honorary mention but if the victim hadn't been a Saint's fan, I'm guessing that would have also passed by with less than a shrug of the shoulder As ya'll are so concerned about cops with with guns, how about the 6 cops, "armed with machine guns" who just killed a guy in his own home over a "domestic despite" in leafy Duck Lane, St Notes, Cambridgeshire? again still not a squeak from the self righteous on here, so it's only cops with guns in the US that concern ya'll right?...When anything like the above happens in the US you're all over it like a rash... I'm really starting to wonder if you guys don't have some kind of deep rooted inferiority complex towards the US, you've certainly got issues for sure. I can't think of any other logical explanation for the bizarre behavioral patterns on here.
  11. So I was reading an article about demand for guns in Austria being so high that the entire Country has sold out, when i followed a link that led me to this guy named ‘Derrick Bird’. WTF?!?! So just 5 years ago in the Country with the world’s tightest gun control, where to ‘legally’ purchase a firearm you need to …and I’m quoting from the BBC here…. “Getting a license is a long and complicated business. Every stage of the process is designed to reduce the likelihood of a gun falling into the wrong hands. It starts with an application form which asks specific questions about why the individual wants a gun, telling them they need to show "good reason". Independent referees provide confidential character statements in which they are expected to answer in detail about the applicant's mental state, home life and attitude towards guns. Officers check the Police National Computer for a criminal record and they speak to the applicant's GP for evidence of alcoholism, drug abuse or signs of personality disorder. Social services can also be asked for reasons to turn down an applicant. Finally, senior officers must be sure that prospective shotgun holders have a secure location for the weapon, typically a dedicated gun cabinet. Each certificate is valid for five years.” So having gone through all that ****, mental check and everything, this Derrick Bird guy still goes out on the streets of Cumbria and shoots 23 defenseless people and killing 12? …why didn't all those checks, restrictions, rules and regulations work?...why didn't those innocent people on the street have any means to defend them selves? Well guess what?...there’s even quotes from senior cops saying that even with the tightest gun control in the world, “it’s impossible to stop” I guess unlike the good people of Austria you guys are going to be up **** creek without a paddle sometime in the future, especially when you consider the ever increasing number of illegal firearms entering your Country every year and no means of self defense for your everyday citizens....You cant even keep legal gun owners in check. even with all your rules and regulations. We have 2k+ posts on here from obsessed limeys wringing their hands and screaming at the US to impose UK type gun control and yet this travesty happened just 5 years ago in your own back yard, with the very gun control in place that you insist the US should adopt!.....And that’s on top of the thousands of incidents of gun crime you have on your island every year. And guess what? I did a quick search on this forum and could barely find it mentioned, unbelievable. I’ve already said I believe most people posting on this thread are hand wringing hypocrites…. Now I know it.
  12. The Cop was the school resource officer, he was already on the premises, one of his duties other than the school safety is to remove disruptive students...South Carolina state legislators deemed it preferable for this to be done by a Cop rather than leave it in the hands of teachers....Sadly, liberal hand wringers have ensured school teachers have lost the right of discipline in many places. So this kid not only point blank refused any direction from the class teacher to put her phone away or to leave the classroom, she also point blank refused to do the same after the vice principle had been called, who then needed to resort to calling the school resource officer (the cop) to "remove" the disruptive pupil.....The other video clearly shows the cop using standard procedure placing his hand under her leg and arm around the back of her head to protect it while lifting her from her chair At that point the kid then punches the cop, which then leads to her being taken to the ground, restrained and arrested....This whole incident is down to her actions and her belief that she could do what the hell she wanted, when she wanted. Now more info about the incident is coming out, even that liberal institution CNN are starting to consider the possibility the cop may have been justified in his actions...The only travesty in this case is the fact the cop, who's previously received commendations for his work in schools. and a recipient of a Culture of Excellence award and was doing his job in accordance with SC State Law was fired and hung out to dry by his hand wringing liberal drama queen boss...In the mean time it looks like we'll have a self entitled brat about to grow up thinking the world owes her a favor and she can get away with whatever she want's with no consequences. Hell, i had worse that from 'teachers' when i was at school...I was dragged out of class and all the way to the headmasters office by my freaking ear, then made to wait an hour before getting caned for causing disruption....Did i ever hold any ill will toward the teacher and head master?...nope, not after a while any way, it was my own fault, i made poor choices...did i disrupt class again after that?...yup, but, only once, and nothing like as bad....did i learn any thing from it?....It was certainly a life lesson and helped me on the way to making good choices and considering consequences. Learning those lessons early in life are way better than later when the consequences of poor choices can be far more severe.
  13. The obsession's strong again today i see...up to 2565 post's now....I guess that's happens when peeps get all starry eyed and infatuated....was it Hollywood movies that did it? Pplenty of hand wringing material in that edited 'lefty porn video" there.....Would never happen in a school on the isle of violence these days because the kids are untouchable and get to lord it over the teachers, but hey, that's the culture you guys developed so I'm not going to judge....This kid on the other hand has probably just learnt her first lesson in consequences and poor choices....This had clearly escalated beyond the control of the classroom teacher or he/she wouldn't have called the cop in the first place... She'll leave the classroom when told the next time and the other kids can get on with their education without disruption....Not dissimilar to the way schools were run on the isle of violence before the 70's and the great liberal hijacking....it was all downhill from there.
  14. Get this guys.....Sorry to burst your bubbles, but we don't 'need' to do a damned thing, especially not to appease a bunch of hysterical hand wringing foreigners. Your collective angst would be far better directed at your own ever worsening problems on your own door step....At least with some effort you have a minuscule chance of resolving them. If you don't like the way we live, that's OK, just stop vacationing here and obsessively reading and talking about us every chance you get...It's not hard and we won't miss you that much, really
  15. Dumb **** limey Cop injures a 7 yr old girl with live ammunition a during school demonstration...where was your face palm and outrage then? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/11214404/Girl-seven-injured-as-police-officer-fires-gun-during-prize-winners-visit.html A few days ago 6 limey Cops armed with "machine guns" enter a home and shoot a guy over a "domestic dispute"....Seems it barely made more than a few lines in the news...where's the outrage? No anger here...just holding a mirror up to bunch of whiny self-righteous and ignorant foreigners who have no concept of the fact the world doesn’t revolve around them. As for the south.....95% of all these great welcoming warm and friendly people down here are just like me, own guns, hunt and believe in the right to self-defense and will do what's necessary to protect those rights......Id say it was you who's the turtle on the post around these parts, but that's OK, this is America and we can all be what we want to be....How do you feel about Georgia's 'Stand your ground' law's and 'Castle doctrine'?...do you own a gun?....have you ever been hunting? As for "limey" If you got out into the country you'd probably be surprised ........It's still a pretty benign phrase though, but i see a few hypocrites on here are getting bit uppity over it... My father in law's next door neighbors very first words to me as we were shaking hands were..."So you're a limey huh?" But yeah, it's making a comeback, it's not quite the term of endearment that "Brit" was associated with. The internet has given more and more Americans a far better insight into the up-tightness and toxicity of the UK and especially their general bitterness toward the US.....more and more "Train spotting" and less Hugh Grant and the Queen... So why have you and Ohio felt the need to join in with the mob on here while they round on anyone with a differing opinion and doesn't necessarily agree there's anything much wrong with the way we live?.....We had 42 pages of mostly obnoxious ignorance on this thread before i even made a post and 10 pages of obsessed playground hysteria since....How about the "septic tank" comments, or "only thing wrong with America is Americans" "Dumb Yanks" "Thick Yanks" yada yada yada ....How come you didn't feel the need to post anything to correct all these foreigners when those comments were being aimed at you?...after all, you're a "dumb and thick septic tanks",no? ...What about all those warm friendly and open folks you know....Do they know you're part of a limey hate mob abusing them on an internet forum?...I'm guessing you don't really feel those comments were aimed at you as your clearly still very much a limey at heart, not that there's anything wrong with that, it probably just makes you more Emily Blunt than 'apple pie' and explains why you don't get me or most of the peeps that live outside your bubble. But hey, as you know, it's a free Country.
  16. That's just normal Ralph spin and bull**** and nothing to do with strategic planning......There would be something very very wrong with any Club that didn't prioritize it's first team Again, normal business practice...there would be something very very wrong with any business that didn't drive revenue to help it's main income source grow. On the other hand, any business that doesn't have clearly defined goals and idea's with means to achieve them, is almost certainly doomed drift around until it's ultimate failure.... Even if a company doesn't meet it's goals, it will have the data to compare against it's forecast ed plan and help find the improvement needed for success....a Soccer Club is no different. This lot have done nothing at all to suggest there's any kind of strategic planning, goals, ambition or even any kind of strong leadership at the Club other than Reed saying they have a plan but not saying what it is and Ralph telling anyone that will listen that he's a great leader....No wonder the last Coach walked out and this one's hedging his bets, he's clearly not privy to any kind of plan either and has no idea of the level of the Club's ambition for the coming years, he even had to ask the question during the forum......Unless things change, that's only going to end in tears. The fans forum would have been the perfect stage for the Club to make the so called "Plan" public, but instead we got what's become the same old, same old waffle with the usual casually mentioned Europa or Champions League thrown out there with no intent or commitment just to pacify peeps and it seems 99.9% of Saints fans are more than happy with that so Que Sera, Sera i guess.
  17. "****ing idiot", fuvking doughnut"....my my,.....The nerd rage is strong on here. Must be all that pent up anger and frustration you limeys are renowned for, usually takes a bit of alcohol in y'all before you lash out like that...good night last night lads? @ ****ing doughnut man Mikey...... Strangely though, I've never been bottled, glassed, knifed or shot in the US, nope, never, not once and not even personally seen anything that even came close and i live in the party capital New Orleans....Cant say the same about my time in the UK though....Peeps getting punched, kicked, glassed, bottled or knifed was not uncommon on Saturday nights, Soccer games, concerts or any other time or place....Never been burgled here either, or even know anyone that has, don't even here of it in the news......again, can't say the same same about the UK, where getting burgled is a way of life and pretty much guaranteed....anyway, no need to "despair" or burst a blood vessel, because at the end of the day the way we live in our Country has **** all to do with you....You should save your hand wringing for the fvking huge problems that exist right on your own doorstep and the even bigger ones that ya'll are sleep walking right into. @Goatboy...That's 'was' English....I denounced your Crown (as a British subject) years ago....Would have been hypercritical not too. @Badgerx16.... Fraid to pop your fantasy you keep repeating about American Police, but most Cops here are nothing but and professional dutiful and respectful, unless you give them reason not to be....Unlike some of the Pedantic, Pompous, egotistical and snarky box tickers I've had the displeasure of coming across over there. @Sadoldgit....Well at least you, like ****ing doughnut man Mickey accept there are "punch up's all over the Country" and once again you, like most limeys accept that as being 'normal'....Lemme tell ya, it's only considered 'normal' on the Isle of Violence...The rest of the civilized world don't act like a bunch of heathens As for "only punches" ...Tell that to this poor guys family...yet another victim of a "normal" Saturday night out on Violence Isle, http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/607092/soldier-afghanistan-murdered-home-town-cornwall Just another "normal" Saturday night they said How about this poor guy just doing his job on another "normal" Saturday night....https://uk.news.yahoo.com/shocking-moment-bouncer-stabbed-back-143322636.html#t1kT1SS Just another one of the thousands of victims a month of Britain's favorite "normal" Saturday night pastime. Hell you even got 13 year old girls getting in on the action with Britain's favorite weapon of choice...http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3283710/Man-20-three-teenagers-including-15-year-old-girl-arrested-suspicion-murder-father-knifed-death-near-playground.html Just think, if this guy had been able to carry a firearm, he may have been able to defend himself instead of going to the mortuary, but hey. that's the UK culture for ya, perverted criminal rights over the victims and all that...where was your stasi police to save this guy? WoW, another guy 'shot' by cops in his own home...no not in Detroit, but leafy Duck Lane, St Neots, UK...... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3284148/Police-shoot-dead-man-estate-St-Neots.html that can't be right can it? @RoswellSaint ...We both know why you keep coming back here...you're still a limey at heart and deep down, still ingrained with that pompous limey superiority complex with a tinge of anti Americanism. This thread has given you an excuse to let it all out...Must be tough living down South for someone like you.
  18. Amazing that no has has picked up 'the' most relevant and what 'should be' the most important thing to Southampton fans to come out of the forum!...8 pages and not a single word of discussion about it on on here, unbelievable....Has everyone really now been trained to swallow the Club spin that much that an irrelevant Ladies side is seen way more worthy of discussion than a subjects that will define the very core of the Club over the coming years? During the forum Reed said 18 months ago he made a 5 year plan....So what's the plan? is it Champions League? he's mentioned the words a few times...Is it an FA cup win? regular Euro soccer? Premier League survival?....Whats the plan and more importantly why hasn't he told us, the fans?...why is it 5 years? is there something in particular the Club believe they need 5 years to achieve? or is he just mimicking Cortese like he often does...or plucked a figure from the air?.......Is there really a 5 year plan or is he just saying that to give the impression he's actually in control of something?....Again, why hasn't he made his plan public? does he lack the conviction of the precious guy who had a successful 5 year plan? and more importantly why do saints fans seem to not give a **** what it is?
  19. Certainly stopped him from doing any more damage to the cop, who knows what might have happened if he hadn't have shot him when he did...Maybe it would have been the guy just doing his job not going back to his family that night. We don't do your ridiculous and IMO pathetic "reasonable force" that expects the victim to trade one punch for one punch or a hold for a hold and then puts the victim at a Judges mercy with the benefit of hindsight.....Hit the aggressor once too many and your toast in the eyes of English law. Most States here have the "Stand your ground law" and "meet force with force" were the victim decides the appropriate amount of force for self defense...Simple fact is, attack someone, especially a Cop and you can expect severe repercussions...... I wouldn't expect you limeys to even be able to contemplate a situation where an aggressor isn't protected by the law, even at the expense of the victim....That would be totally foreign to you guys and again demonstrates why peeps on this thread squeeming and squeeming from the rooftops are doing so from a platform of ignorance.... We arm our Cops because we expect them to be able to defend them selves in situations like this. Good luck to next one of you that gets punched/kicked/bottled/glassed/knifed/shot in a bar or on the street like most Saturday nights over their in 'violent land' you know it's going to happen (and most of us looking in can see why)
  20. And this is what he did to the cop before he was shot...You attack a cop and it's only going to end one way and damned right too...nobody deserves to go through that for simply doing a job. Oh and Timothy...You can straighten your panties now....The Auntie/nephew thing is pretty much standard practice in Connecticut to claim for personal injury from a homeowners insurance where the insurance company can not be named as a defendant. Despite your obvious hand wringing, the entire family were cool with it...Most peeps who had a clue already knew this was the case. as several States have similar laws. Ide have thought your "American friends" would have educated you being as your association with them has made you understand sooo much about American life And Jonnyboy....Work harder?...for sure....Less public services? doubt it, i get my garbage can emptied twice a week and i can put what the **** i like in it with no fear of some lefty council inspector knocking on my door. I can use as much water as i like when ever i want as long as pay for it, hell i even got a sewerage rebate when i filled my pool for the first time. Plenty of libraries, a Street car network throughout the City. I'm not going to get power cuts or brown outs due to power station closures any time soon. 5 mins for an Ambulance, 5 mins for a Cop, at least 6 hospitals to chose from and can check their ER wait times on line. access to some of the best health care in the world....can you say the same? So no...must public services are way better here....now if you mean Welfare services then yeah, no one does welfare like the UK, the worlds greatest Nanny State...no thanks. and more violence? dream on, you need to get your head out of all those lefty hand wringing websites......There's no comparison, the UK is one of the most violent countries in the west, hell i think even South Africa has lower violent crime than you guys, the country's full of uptight and angry people, like coiled springs waiting to explode, i guess that comes from the frustration of living in a country where obedience to the state is total......I saw similar in East Germany and Poland back in the late 70's at least those guys wanted to change things...You lot seem to be more than happy with your lot and even want more. Anyway seems you lefty hand wringers on this thread are getting a little obsessed lol.....Searching all corners of the internet in a desperate attempt to try and find some dirt in a country half way round the world and nothing to do with you...We've got the Bedroom general visiting police brutality sites in a country he's probably not even allowed to visit anymore....must have been a big blow bless him.....Hell, we even have Timothy having fantasies of me reaching a climax Nothing like a bit of lefty nerd rage for lunch time entertainment
  21. We've played in Red Hoops too, really cool looking rugby style shirt and a far better representation of the national flag than the "Clown effect" in 94. That's when the USMNT wore red and white stripes while hosting the 94 World cup it was part of a disastrous representation of the national flag....red and white stripes on the home kit and blue and white stars on the away kit First comment i found on it was this "The U.S. team only wore this kit in one of its four games in the 1994 World Cup, its 1-0 loss to Brazil in the Round of 16. Not only was the loss on July 4, but Tab Ramos suffered a fractured skull from a vicious elbow and the Americans had to play the entire match in this awful jersey. 2nd was.. "The Horrifying True Story of the Ugliest Jerseys in U.S. Soccer History" "Dressing up your fledgling national team like a bunch of psychedelic patriots may seem like a risky move, but it was a calculated one. “In my world, if you have a strong reaction, that’s a positive,” says Peter Moore, then global creative director at Adidas and president of the German company’s American subsidiary. If people are angry, then at least they’re paying attention." "As the World Cup neared, the players laughed about their uniforms to keep from crying. In 1994, People named U.S. midfielder John Harkes to its “Most Beautiful” list. When Ramos saw what he’d be wearing against America’s arch rival, he said, “Even John Harkes cannot make this uniform look good.” Another player joked that the wavy stripes on the secondary kit made the ginger-haired Lalas look “like Raggedy Ann.” The jokes were an obvious coping mechanism, a way to mask the Americans’ self-consciousness." But hey...At least some liked it The home kit featured these wavy red lines like an American flag blowing in the wind. Cheesey? Totally. But at six-years-old, I loved it .......... Now check out Aussiesaint20's Facebook stats.....Take out the most recently promoted teams and all 3 teams that play in Red and white stripes are bottom of the pile Like i said...red and white candy stripes will not fly in the US....If the Board have any serious intentions of capitalizing on the exploding US market they're going to need to learn something from Cortese and drop the stripes...The sash would probably be a big hit here and would pull a respectable amount of support as long as we maintain decent results.
  22. Surprising but awesome news and good interview too.....Maybe the Board are finally starting to learn how to run a Soccer Club, hopefully the dawn of a new era.....long may it continue
  23. Oh look, it gets worse!......."The ONS figures show there were '540 firearms offences in the West Midlands in 2013-14, three times fewer than the 1,594 incidents in London http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2015/feb/20/uks-gun-capital-rancour-and-regret-over-west-midlands-label “There’s a lot, a lot, of gun crime going on,” says Gleen Reid, who set up the anti-gun campaign Families for Peace after her 28-year-old son Corey was shot dead outside a nightclub in 2001. “We’re hearing about a shooting here, a shooting there, stabbing here, but because there’s no fatality it’s not in the news. It’s like it’s becoming the norm.” "Just before Christmas, she says, a group of young people were shot at outside a row of shops in Newtown, another troubled area of inner- city Birmingham, and luckily no one was injured. West Midlands police could find no record of the incident, but news of the shooting spread widely in the local area." On top of that London alone has nearly 1,000 knife crime victims a month!...yup, that's 'ONE THOUSAND' knife victims a month in one city!....do they just line all you guys up against the wall and stab you? not that there would be much you could do about it if they did http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/1000-knife-crime-victims-in-london-each-month-shocking-new-figures-show-8681511.html The way you lot have been wringing your hands over the US, anyone would have thought gun and violent crime was non existent in your gun free and totalitarian State (should i add knife free to that as well?...they're banned also yes?)....Fifteen hundred shootings just in London alone in a year say's otherwise and it's so rampant "it's not even "in the news" Oh look....a 15 year old shoots dead a school girl on his birthday!...no, not in the US but in your own back yard, Hackney, east London!...i didn't think kids could get their hands on guns over there? Only a "Dumb Yank" issue you said..... http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/teenager-guilty-of-shooting-schoolgirl-dead-on-his-birthday-9763551.html and normal law abiding decent citizens can't even carry a water pistol without getting arrested!....You guys have issues for sure.
  24. Wow..looks like some peeps have been holding out on this thread... "A 'seven'-year-old boy and his mother were shot in their legs on their own doorstep" "this becomes the 50th shooting between rival gangs in Greater Manchester in the space of just 16 months and fifth in the last four days" "Police say they have recovered 30 guns off the streets of Salford since February". http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3270353/Woman-29-young-son-seven-shot-legs-doorstep.html Yup...this is Manchester 'England' ....That's '50' shootings in just 'one' city in the country with the strictest gun control in the world, i didn't think it was possible, what with there being no guns 'an all, Oh wait..the bad guys still have guns, duh!.....So what's wrong with Britain?......You gave up your liberty for this? Ya'll kept this quiet too....Cops shooting a guy because they 'believed' he had a knife?....didn't you guys said **** like that only happens in the US..http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3264473/Police-shoot-man-believed-possession-knife-officers-twice-tried-Taser-no-apparent-effect.html
