The interview sounds like it’s not as in depth as we are thinking. Sounds more like the usual spill that he speaks in order to cover his own tracks and not take responsibility. It seems like yes, he gave into fan pressure and more than likely player pressure to play a back four formation. Now he’s using it as a time to go “told you so” when that’s just pathetic, it’s not the back four that’s the issue, it’s the players selected in the starting line up and the way the players have been instructed and drilled before hand.

I try, I try my absolute hardest to support Jones, but Jesus Christ. I just cannot. Not even being a jump on the negative wave brigade. But when a manager does so much wrong, says so much shit, how can you even be positive that we will do ANYTHING different tomorrow. THEN PLAYS 4 senior players in a youth game, not only meaning they will be ruled out tomorrow due to fitness, but also gives away half your formation for tomorrows game!!! He’s a moron. Simply put..

Holy hell. Looks like we have a player that can actually get on the end of these amazing deliveries by JWP. That just in its own right is enough of a threat to make a big lump like Paul a massive addition to a side that I don’t see making the best of these opportunities in most games. This adds threat and pre-occupies defenders to allow other players to even make use of the extra space and chaos if he doesn’t. UTILISE THIS NATHAN. With the greatest respect Nathan, play a formation that actually favours the strongest line-up we can put out. Especially in a all or nothing fixture. WHICH IS EVERY GAME NOW. We cannot be messing around with lineups at half time and “sorting it” after we’ve been through every tactical masterclass change you can think of and made a mountain to climb due to INCOMPETENCE. If I see a non LB playing in that position again when we have Perruad on the bench and KWP in a weaker position I will go spare. Play 4 at the back, with your BEST RB playing RB, your two best CB partnership (FIND THIS and let it gel) and an actual LB. Play Lavia as holding mid, have your other mids in creative roles and the rest speaks for itself. Everyone can see this. I usually lerk here, but Jesus, I needed to write this just so I won’t go crazy.
