Fair point. I thought we were not much better than ok, created openings but as is often the case the final attempt was never really threatening apart from the goal. Defensively we continued to concede goals in far too high a ratio from chances created by the opposition. Team looked shot of confidence and ideas by about 70 minutes. I was very relieved when Carroll went off thought Bilic might have made a mistake by taking him off too early, but we never really managed to build up a head of steam for an onslaught on their goal in the closing stages.

I think that's all very reasonable, but no matter what you put our predicament down to the facts of the league table and form don't make good reading. We've lost 6 out of the last 7 in the league .We have 14 games left, arguably far harder than the last 7.If we continue with the same level of points per match as the last 7 we will gain 6 more points this season. That will leave us relegated in my opinion. I don't think that will happen but its a concern and a possibility. Now whilst I agree that many of the comments on here are well over the top there is also a good deal to feel nervous about. In addition I don't think it helps that we have only won 5 out 12 at home this season. I'm not sure what I'd do if I was in charge but if we lose the next two matches, CP will be under huge pressure.

If he was clearly injured , it begs the question why did they play him? If you can tell from the stands that he's injured you would have thought the manager might know from seeing him in training and all the up to date sports science equipment and information we have.

I thought JayRod was deliberately playing badly as if he was sulking over not getting a January move. It was by far the least effort I have ever seen him put in,mind you he still made more of a telling contribution than most of his team mates.

Just about every bar and restaurant in Cape Town shows English Football .Camps Bays has some nice places and right on the beach, its on the tourist bus route , so easy to get to .We went to a really good seafood restaurant in The Waterfront area , in Cape Town ,Den Anker, good bar area with a couple of screens. Its Belgian so great beers. These are all more bar/ restaurants than an English type pub though.

" VVD shouldn't be out for months as reported " at best another 4-6 weeks before he starts training when he's already been out for 2 weeks so lets call that 8 weeks or two months, plus say 2 weeks getting fit again .This puts him back playing again somewhere as said in the press between 2 and 3 months out.Although that's definitely not months.
