  1. According to a snippet in The Times today he wants The Palace job not the one at Saints.
  2. Don't know what everyone is worried about, didn't have any money, suddenly found £220m down the back of the sofa, involved in a bribery scandal, business associates executed, really what could possibly go wrong if he buys the club ?
  3. If the Lander deal goes through broadly in line with the media speculation i.e. Buying a 80-90% stake they will be able to do exactly what they like. There is no way they'll be held accountable by Kat over keeping staff etc Even if there was such an agreement the only way to enforce would be with litigation. Which would be costly and could last years.
  4. Interesting that it was a unanimous vote- stating the bleeding obvious it means we voted for a change which would effectively prevent our proposed investment going ahead. Unless the deal was done prior to the rule change being implemented.

I don't think it says very much at all, as far as I can be arsed to trawl through roughly 5 serial troll posters were advocating he be sacked , followed alternately by a different 5 who love to perpetuate the trolling by taking the opposite view. All it says really is what a **** thread it is.
  6. I've no idea what that means but read post #1970 or a far more interesting link to a Telegraph article on #1981
  7. There is no way Liverpool would have issued an apology if it wasn't true. Direct talks between our board and their board and the revealing of evidence led to the statement by LFC. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/06/07/liverpool-row-southampton-overvirgil-van-dijk-proves-selling/
  8. Fair enough that's good to know. As I said it appears to be true but then it's obviously not. Just more **** stirring.
  9. I'm not making anything up - just posting a link. If you read the article it states he changed his profile pic from Saints colours to his Dutch immediately after the apology broke. Which appears to be true. It also states that he deleted the saints thing but it was later re-instated. That also appears to be true. It's possible to conclude that he's having a bit of a sulk or it's just one big coincidence.
  10. http://www.offthepost.info/blog/2017/06/virgil-van-dijk-removes-southampton-twitter-account-liverpool-move-falls/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+offthepost%2FTLAa+%28Off+The+Post%29 This would suggest he was hoping to go.
  11. No she hasn't but there is a question mark over her Father's country of residence when he died. This could mean there is a tax liability for inheritance tax in Germany. Although the tax authorities in Germany have stated she has done nothing wrong. However if IHT is found to be due it won't be anything like the figures quoted as that's based upon Saints current valuation of £200m and in reality it will be based upon Saints value at the time of Markus' death.
  12. Bit of a waste of time then.

  14. Does seem a bit naff to call your husband and father of your children a Pr!ck on Twitter.

In the fairness of balance the opposition missed a couple as well in the run in. As an aside I can think of three missed against us this season I wonder if that combined with our own well documented inefficiencies from the spot creates some sort of record. Team involved in % of most penalties missed (for and against) over a PL season. Maybe over 50%?
  16. I would still be enthused by Tuchel as many on here are by Puel despite similar stories. I guess if he was perfect we would have absolutely no chance of landing him. Mind you I still don't think he'll come here but would be happy if he did.
  17. Seriously without knowing who our manager is or what the squad will look like come the end of the summer, you are convinced we are going to be relegated?
  18. Anyone on here have a seasonal car park pass particularly in 'K'? If so is there any news for next season?
  19. I was at that game so apologies for that- just thought he'd played on the right. Even so I think it is worth persevering with if that was the only time it was tried.
  20. 100% agree re playing him on the left.i can't help but feel in a 4-2-3-1 Tadic on the left, Boufal in the middle, and Redmond on the right would be our strongest attacking formation esp at home. If Claude had played that in the last 5 games I think we would have scored at least one more goal ! Strange how he fell out with Koeman even though he played his best football under him. I'm also reliably informed he puts in more work than any other player in the gym in his own time after training.
  21. I'm a big fan of Tadic, can't help but think the loss of a target man effected his game. Having said that however he has been very poor this season in attitude as well as performance.

I'd like to think that The Board would have sorted out a replacement before giving Claude the push. I've not been impressed with Claude but I'd rather keep him than just sack him and cross our fingers for someone better. Should only be sacked if we have a definite first choice ,high calibre replacement lined up.
  23. I don't think you've missed anything it's just the latest assumptions by some on here as he hasn't been publicly flogged and dragged to the gallows-yet.

Get your calendar out count backwards from Spurs and work out how much rest we had before that game. Where all those other teams played 2 days earlier therefore had less rest prior to Boxing Day fixtures. We also had long rest period between Bournemouth and Hull at home and probably plenty others but I cant be arsed to check.
