  1. Worse than that during the interview Adam Blackmore made the point that we worked the ball wide well a couple of times in the first 20 minutes and got good balls in, but there was only 1 saints player in the box, i.e. Surely we need to commit more forward in that situation. Puel's reply was along the lines that everyone has to be in position to prevent the counter so he was happy where they were , to me that seems very negative.
  2. It was so bad it reminded me of The England v Iceland match.
  3. You don't pay tax on income but profit-there wouldn't be any additional profit as you'd spend the additional income on wages. That would be the entire point of creating the income in the first place. Having said that I have a vague recollection that there is a rule that states any sponsorship deal must be in line with market expectations to avoid any circumventing of the rules in this manner.
  4. Quite interesting his comments on Lukaku - almost saying he's too good for Everton, I'm sure that will go down well, with their reasonable and well balanced supporters. He told Belgian newspaper HLN: "I gave him confidence and he has himself recognised that it was good for his development to play another year at Everton. "What after this season comes, no-one knows. "If Romelu was to play at Everton until the end of his career I know he has left something [behind]. His potential is greater and higher than Everton as a final destination."
  5. Absolutely agree, I dropped them an email today to say what a well organised outfit they were. Would certainly recommend.
  6. 6 of us on The Sport Options day charter from Bournemouth.
  7. My Inter bundle tickets arrived Saturday.
  8. Anybody having problems with the OS today ?
  9. That's a real pain then.
  10. Would buying a Sunderland or Burnley ticket not solve the problem? Or don't they count that ?
  11. Here is by chance a league table of net spend in The Premier League since 2013. We Have either come first or last depending on your point of view. No idea if it's correct ,but has us down at £1m net. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/550451/Biggest-net-spend-Premier-League-2013-sportgalleries
  12. People say and do stupid things , I suppose you should be congratulated that you don't - still expect him to be sacked ,which would look like a good decision, doesn't stop me feeling sorry for him though.
  13. It looks like I'm in the minority here but I feel a bit sorry for him , I know it's wrong and dodgy, but still I also know I've spouted a bit of BS after a couple of drinks trying to impress people.
  14. Fair enough - but I don't suppose it's that different than if I had managed to get to Israel this week -I would have been guaranteed a Prague ticket. Would I have been more deserving than someone who did 15+ always last season just for doing that one trip? Not easy trying to get these things right / fair I guess.
  15. Love the argument that if you fork out £50k a year for a box you are not a proper fan. It's in the term and conditions seasonal box holders get a priority window for away tickets.
  16. Thanks for the replies re Inter Away, I will still be surprised if we shift all 8,700. I wish I was going to Israel, but just not possible to go this week. It would have been cracking to have my only always for the season as Israel,Czech Rebublic and Italy !Out of interest did any ST holders who bought the home game bundle on-line receive tickets for all 3 matches or just Sparta like me? Ticket office have told me that no-one who ordered the bundle on-line has received the tickets for the other two matches yet.
  17. Do we know how many tickets we've sold for the match at Inter.? I'll be staggered if we sell all 8,700. I didn't think I'd get,one ( ST holder no official always) but it was quite easy in the end. I'd be interested to see if we have made much of a dent in the extra 3,700.
  18. This is similar to how I see it. I've only been to 3 games,Sunderland,Sparta and Swansea but I think in all three of those games the opposition has found it far too easy to cross ball into our box,as the opposition has been pretty average it hasn't mattered. Going forward we are looking more accomplished with it,but I'm not sure how it will work especially at home against better opposition.
  19. Thats the way to do it, anyone who doesn't agree with you is an idiot. Even though my opinion was wait and see how Redmond develops in his new role before passing judgement. I like to read different views on here ,most of which I don't agree with but if you ignore the regular trolls its can still be informative to listen to other people. I guess that's why I hardly post on here the complete intolerance of others.
  20. Fair Point. I really need to get back on the same day as we are off on holiday on Friday. So didn't want to risk missing out on this one.
  21. I booked 4 seats on this plane today and a mate booked another 2, so I'm guessing there is 30 something spaces left. Saints have confirmed by email to me that they won't be putting on another plane. So if you need to go in and out on the same day this looks a good option.
  22. I'm hoping to get mine in 25 minutes! I'm taking my son and I was hoping to go on the official trip just for ease and speed but that's sold out unfortunately for me.
  23. I find very frustrating that you are not as clever as me and can't see its condescending. Geddit ?
  24. This has got to be one of the most condescending posts I've ever read on here. People are allowed different opinions. Mine is I'm personally undecided about Redmond through the centre for a variety of reasons, but I'm happy for the experiment to continue for a while longer yet. Obviously anyone who disagrees with me is a footballing Neanderthal and is not blessed with my highly intelligent understanding of the game. Also I think your description of Puel's track record as fantastic is maybe a little OTT.
  25. Puel was asked post match on Solent was it just a slight knock or something more serious regarding his recent injuries to his knee/foot. Puel was very coy in his reply said it was his leg and we'll have to wait to see how serious it is.
