  1. Obviously we are desperate for a win but a draw was not a bad result in the end. Dibling seems a bit like a hybrid of Bale and Grealish, what a talent, shame we are reliant on him so much. Think Manning has actually look a lot better in recent weeks, for a player that gets so much stick I think he is far from our worst performing player. Really starting to hate VAR. The best thing about going to a game, watching from home or listening on the radio is to celebrate a goal, if you can't even do that, it such takes away so much from being a fan.
  2. Voted to keep him - but that could easily change. I think there was enough there on Saturday to show the players are playing for him. Clearly, we need to take less risks at the back but I think he is showing a degree of flexibility and I am hoping we get a repeat of last season, get a big win and go on a great run (wishful thinking perhaps). I agree that getting a manager with a different playing style is a bit illogical based on our recruitment but believe the players would be able to adapt a bit, most should be able to play more than one way. We changed managers a lot last time and ended up with not being any better really. However, if we don't get an improved points return in the next two or three, then think it might be time to change. Hopefully after the last two games, it should be a bit more obvious who should be in the team more regularly. Would love us to start using Tall Paul more often too. Added a great focal point on Saturday, and we can play it for feet as well as looking for flick ons.
  3. Stick Tall Paul and Stewart up front and just keep pumping it up there - they wouldn't be expecting that, but then again, neither would our strikers! I think it is probably a fair criticism that our attacking options may be good enough for this level but I think our style of play, which led to many goals and chances in the Championship, does not favour them in this league and because of that, if think they are quite disadvantaged.
  4. Downes is really struggling in the middle. We really miss a Romeu figure in there don't we? I just cannot fathom how we thought we could be competitive with so many players that don't have PL experience or have proven not good enough at this level before. We're relying on a 36 year old and 18 tear old to carry the team. Along with Ramsdale who quite fairly is (probably) wondering how he can get out of this mess ASAP. Awful.
  5. Some of our players look shattered already. Lallana best player on the pitch by a mile isn't he?
  6. Serves us right for being so passive after getting a one man advantage. Could even here Martin shouting "do something with it". Aribo needs to be quicker.
  7. Priority must surely be a goalkeeper, a CDM or CM (either instead of or with Downes) and a striker...? Our squad did a brilliant job getting up but I suspect a few of the players just won't cut it at that level. As others have said, plenty of players who we still need to shift from our relegation from the Prem still.
  8. Must be worth a bump after his contribution on Sunday. Another assist, turned up for the three big games this season (two-semi finals and the final) and for a player who got a lot of stick earlier in the season, his stats aren't bad: 6 - 7 goals and 4 assists including the plays-off apparently.
  9. Amazing result! I had tickets for the game and planned to come but had to cancel last minute. Games like yesterday and WBA at home last week makes one really miss being back in UK. But it was still brilliant to watch from a distance. Despite Leeds having a couple of chances we controlled the game at times and defended brilliantly for large parts. We did everything we needed to, to get over the line! Even though the Championship was a fun division to be in for a season, I don't think it can be underestimated how important for us to get back up first time of asking, in terms of holding onto good players, financial implications and not slowly decaying into mid-table mediocrity in the Championship.
  10. Happy for him. Took a lot of stick this season. Some of the criticism was justified but a lot of it was well over the top. He stuck to his guns and made some critical adjustments for the play-offs. Lets hope he can continue to develop along with the squad. Onwards and upwards.
  11. Really hoping VAR won't be a definitive factor on Sunday and we can confidentially celebrate a goal and enjoy the moment. Hope its not in whichever division we're in next season.
  12. Annoying that some of the best tickets (behind the goal in the lower tiers) go on sale at the very end.

  14. That is bloody annoying. It is great the club are looking to make some many improvements overall but mastering the ticket system would be one of the most useful, even if events like the Play-Off final are a rare occasion. Especially if you consider some fans may be on a older generation and not able/familiar with using an online ticket system.
  15. Thought this too. Annoyed to miss out on automatic but it's still been a very good season at times after a complete mess last season. Don't see the logic in changing manager again.
  16. Not helped by being overloaded with two players. The guy had a run on him. Lack of CM to help cover as Charles down on other side.
  17. Have travelled over for the two games this week and couldn't have asked for a better end to match yesterday without the prospect of VAR ruining the moment. Some strange subs but not Martin's fault if Armstrong was off the pace for example. Pleased for Downes who worked his socks off. Thought Stephens was good too. Slightly curious about the Swedish flag hanging in the Itchen, if it was a supporters group who came over?
  18. Great to be winning 1-0 but we are quite boring to watch aren't we?
  19. Massive win and great response! Started the game brilliantly 👏 But I really hope we don't have to get something at Leeds away last game or have to go play offs because playing around with it so much in and around our own box like last night makes stressful viewing 😅 and would be hard watch in one game with so much at stake
  20. Does anybody know when the fixtures around April time will be announced regarding changes due to TV (Championship fixtures)?
  21. We've done really well recently but we just keeping ourselves with such small margins for error by sitting on one goal leads and not creating that many chances. Frustrating.
  22. Can't understand why he got booed when he came on. Players looking much more comfortable in the system, Holgate was a perfect example of that today. Downes was great in midfield too.
  23. Just wanted to bump this thread. I only goto one or two games a season due to being abroad. Last game I went at home in PL, AA was getting so much stick. Although he was below par in the PL he has always worked his socks off. Seeing him get a standing ovation today after getting the winner and playing well just goes to show how things can turn around if you stick at something and work hard. Great attitude. Martin should also receive some credit for his revival. Could almost say the same about Bazunu. Sometimes it's worth sticking with players even in the tough moments.
  24. Great win! We're very well set up for the remainder of the season. Glad we didn't hit the panic button when we lost a few. Yeah the style isn't for everyone but it sets up so well to win. Definitely not missing the PL or VAR.
