Excellent post. They have been a complete and utter shambles so far. Dragan has to be embarrassed. Imagine spending all this money only to be breaking records for how shit we are. What I can’t stand is the condescension from the club and Martin himself. Yes, we have never been the most successful club. But we have had some genuine world class managers and players here, so we know good football when we see it. Many of us knew it from the very start of his tenure. It was right to give him a chance after he got us up. But he’s failed his audition spectacularly. The worst premier league manager of all time. Martin is very very good at trying to subtley deflect the blame in the media. He’s a master of pretending to be accountable, whilst redirecting the blame elsewhere. It’s clear he’s trying to paint a picture in the media that he is a genius and then players are letting him down.

It’s easy for me. I didn’t get a season ticket this year as I have other commitments. I was planning to go to a lot of games anyway. But I simply won’t now. The club are treating the fans like complete mugs. Beyond a joke

Standards at the club have completely disappeared. It’s unfathomable that they’re accepting this. Disaster after disaster every week. Martin is a complete embarrassment. So far out of his depth, it’s a joke. I feel sorry for those with a season ticket, genuinely. I can’t face any more of this and won’t be going to another game this season until he’s gone.

Agree with this. Manager is letting Downes down. He needs help but we have a fucking imbecile in charge who can’t set up a midfield. As for Lesley… absolutely horrendous. I know he was rated at Chelsea so I’m not sure what’s going on…Is Martin playing him out of position, or is he just worse than anyone thought? He really has been abysmal so far. Can’t decide if him or BBD is our worst signing.

Cortese was fantastic for this club if you zoom out. Seems like things went out of control toward the end. (Ego went out of control if the rumours are actually true) But what he achieved here was incredible. It’s re-writing history to say otherwise. Compare his managerial appointments, academy work and transfers with SR. The difference is staggering. We were professional and moving toward long term targets instead of just talking about it.

I think he’s here for the season regardless now, it seems quite clear the hierarchy at the club are infatuated with him. Feels like the ship has sailed to replace him at this point.

His overall style/philosophy is the reason we are at the bottom of the league, so it’s not an excuse. But yes we have been exceptionally unlucky with terrible refereeing this season. Even when we do play well, the ref ruins our day anyway. Absolutely detest VAR/the PL
