Agree with all of this. Supported saints for 30 years (my whole life) and I’ve never felt so down about the club. Even when we went down last time there were some positives, players working hard, there were some decent youth players, good atmospheres. Yeah it was shit, but we had no money and it was a laugh. Exactly, our big problem is scoring goals. We finally have a finisher. Why not actually give him a go and change the team to see if it works. Instead we are persisting with proven failed players, in a proven failed system. I accept we wanted willing runners against City, but if we don’t play a more attacking line up against Palace I will be annoyed at Selles personally.

Should be winnable. But we have a novice manager and rubbish players, so I predict an easy palace win.

Lavia is at his best when breaking up play, getting on the ball, turning and having the game in front of him. I wouldnt think moving him forward would add to us or him. He’s one of the only positions in the team that doesn’t need changing. Our problem is everyone else, not him.. he just needs help. It’s difficult for me to understand why successive managers haven’t played our best players in their best positions, and I don’t want to see more of it

Caceres wasn’t match fit because he never got given a chance here. It was truly fucking mental. He was decent after he left us as well. Quality player that was absolutely wasted.

Diallo is bad but nowhere near as much of a problem as Ely. I think Diallo will be OK in the championship to be honest. Ely is barely even championship level.
