  1. I was half heartedly having a laugh with my last post tbf. But genuinely I would take Southgate, I know he’s not attack minded and won’t win anything. But would get a promotion and give us some credibility. Think it’s a fit for both parties at this moment. Can’t see a Prem team coming in for him anytime soon.
  2. I’d have given Still more time, he will seriously walk into a top job. Koeman type no thank you, inherited a team not for me. Frank absolutely, won’t happen, other Frank absolutely not. Internally no, from lower leagues no. Hate to say it but Southgate to steady the ship instil discipline, Ralph 💯 %, Farq’s yes. Jose pipe dream. Should have gone for Warnock 5 or 6 managers ago, not now obviously. I’d even take the nutter Barton with his connections, but that ship has sailed now he is doing his “”Podcast””??? Roy Keane yes, Rooney no But to be honest as a lot have said, who will come now apart from those looking for a payday.
  3. If this comes off, will be great both on field and the dressing room. Must have the armband. However was this in the 5 year plan document written by the grown ups at the Club as the direction they wanted to go right at the beginning. Just re- enforces the complete lack of accountability, plan, direction, decision making and DNA that is seriously lacking at the top. Welcome back if we can get it sorted. I still wouldn’t want to meet him in a dark alley. But you have to question what is the actual short medium long term goal of the owners. Sticking plasters and what a sticking plaster by the way are normally only just that. A temporary solution until you can get to a long term fix.
  4. So the days of NC weren’t so bad after all. I’d have him back instantly. Oh and while we are at it what’s Ralph doing these days. They say you should never go back, but I’d be getting the blank cheque for both signed now.
  5. Nope, live in the Gifford, North Bristol.
  6. Be a really good game, wish I was there instead of the Sofa. Jealous of all the fans at the game, have a great day everyone. ❤️🤍❤️🤍❤️🤍❤️🤍❤️🤍
  7. The Dog and Duck.
  8. Like it or not. He brought a Corporate approach to the club, which was exactly the right thing. Yes he didn’t play the “old school Racing Post Rednapp style” Maybe he pissed a few people off. But jeezzzz how many players have we got in the squad now that are going into the England team. It hurts to say it, but we are where we belong. Both my boys are Gasheads, and constantly tell me that we are no longer a decent Europe chasing club since the NC and ML days. Even they are comparing the shambles of the ownership of Rovers, to us. Yes we had it good in the NC and ML days , and will always be a what if moment. Dear god, don’t let us become the same as the Gas, I don’t think I could cope at home.
  9. That’s our downfall when he left. Being thinking that for a long time. I know players are pampered and earn far too much money. But his attention to detail was another level. If you believe it even down to bringing players own mattress to away games. Him and Markus a real dream team tbf
  10. Martin over Still. I’ll go back to my Dry Martinis. Will is the man, like Ralph was. Just need to thank our lucky stars we have some ability running the team.
  11. Proper game, spoilt by the fact I cannot stop watching their number 5. He is horrendous. It’s laughable, it’s almost like he’s won a competition to play a match with Ipswich. No wonder Will didn’t want him 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂
  12. Trouble for Wrexham is they are still playing Conference Football, with a Manager still trying to replicate what he / they have done the last few seasons. Being physical and making stupid challenges that you get away with in the lower leagues with officials that aren’t at the level of Prem Champ, you will get found out very quickly. First game for us and yes we were 1 down until Injury time. ( Penalty, not open play) But give it another couple of months when the pitches aren’t rock hard and teams like us are getting into top gear. Wrexham will be fucked on the basis of that performance from them.
  13. Tbh, he’s gone thank god. But the only reason I’m commenting is watched his interview after the match. Word for word it’s the same crap he was spouting towards the end of his tenure with us, and he’s only preseason plus a couple of games with them. Has he learnt anything, I mean anything from his Saints experience.
  14. Get completely and absolutely if I had the money I would be doing the same. But the point was without going into the whole conversation, about his character and attitude around the club. Just saying no wonder he is trying to look the good guy now he is managing, oh wait he’s not. Just trying to put it politely. I would have sided with Ralph not the player in this situation.
  15. Allegedly he used to turn up for training in his chauffeur driven car. The car would wait and he would finish training and jump straight back in and be Chauffeur driven home, little interaction with anyone, very full of self importance. I heard this from a former academy manager who left Saints and his lad played with mine at a different club, and have no reason why he would 1 he would make that up, or 2 no reason to disbelieve it. But that’s not my point. it’s just to add some perspective, and weight for the other side of the story. Ralph probably had every justification in his decisions with the player.
  16. Even my youngest lads team run a 10k the day before a match. Thats at non league step 4. Wow what have we been doing the last 4 or 5 Managers.
  17. Really decent away kit, love that. Still doesn’t beat my favourite Wave away shirt from 2022/2023.
  18. I haven’t gone through all the pages to be fair. But is what Simon Jordan said on Talksport a few months ago about the club up for sale still valid. I will listen to Talkshite as I’m travelling the south west each day. But seemed pretty convincing that if a Saudi buyer was interested would be done. Gone silent so I guess a load of crap and who ever it was, went Millwall instead.
  19. Great to get it all done early. The whole summer to sort it out. Great move imo, it feels right this one tbf. I hope I’m not eating my words come September……………
  20. Only the owner knows. Still haven’t heard if we are genuinely up for sale.
  21. Genuine question, was there ever any outcome to the White, Jordan thing on Talksport when it was suggested that we are up for sale. I can’t see many proper managers queuing up to take the job with a potential new owner yet again.
  22. We would be mad not to bring Ralph back now he’s left Wolfsburg. That’s if he’s prepared to come to the funny farm. He would rock the Championship with a bit of financial support to rebuild. Unfortunately I think he’s too big a name and has far better clubs that would be in for him. Hurts like hell to say it, but we are sliding into the abyss until someone grabs us by the balls, (excuse the pun). In that I mean a proper Chairperson in control with a DOF and a top European league manager.
  23. Wouldn’t be surprised if DS has had enough. Prem football now is funded by Countries or people of vast wealth, with Countries funding. Long gone are the days of a normal Billionaire buying a club as their play thing or hobby. FA Cup, League Cup probably the only return for your money these days, in the Prem.
  24. MP, but that’s never going to happen in a million years. Joey Barton, and I’m not joking would shake things up big style and is what we need. Especially with the skates games. Was great for Bristol Rovers, even though he divided the fans. But long term not the way forward I know. I would love to see Joey have a go in the Championship with us. Ralph for me perfect sensible return. Calm knows what he is doing and the club, and refreshed. I hope we don’t go Rohl, Lampard, ect etc etc, just wrong choices again. I just know I am getting pelters for JB suggestion, but Championship football one season to get back up, teach SR a few home truths. A perfect fit ?
