  1. We will do a Stoke, or like a number of teams if we aren’t careful. Too long in the Championship, and it almost becomes impossible to get back I think. I don’t follow the academy like I used to. But surely there are some nuggets in there we can now chuck in and let them get minutes in readiness for next season. If not what’s the point, someone with more knowledge than me on the youngsters I guess will know.
  2. My mistake with my last couple of words, I knew that re reading it, and I hope I’m forgiven. ML and NC knew what they were doing. I would love both of them back. Maybe I’m just a romanticist.
  3. This might be unpopular I know. But from my time in little shorts watching Lawrie’s team until now. The best this club has been run is in the hands of ML and NC. God Bless Marcus, and I would take Nicola back in a heartbeat.
  4. Didn’t want to join the bias official thing. But f!?k sake, this ref is wearing a red shirt. Either that or he’s have tea and getting dropped off outside his front door later tonight….,,,
  5. A real shame that we didn’t get rid of RM probably as everyone seems to agree after the Bournemouth game. Makes me think taking a gamble on Championship, L1,L2 managers at Prem level just never works. Impacts managers who want to progress, but I think you have to manage in the top leagues in Europe, not talking just talking about the obvious leagues, but Eastern European, Greek, Turkish ect ect
  6. Never know. Utd turn up for the big games as per the last couple, probably think this is in the bag before kicking a ball. IJ is trying his best to polish a turd from what I can see. Come away with a draw, will help move on some players and make us a potentially good club for other players to come to next season. It does help playing for a manager that isn’t from the youth team, League 1,2 Championship. If he stays of course.
  7. I guess it’s like any other business. Short, Medium, Long Term Business Plan. I just think the short term plan has backfired spectacularly. I genuinely don’t worry about our long term future, as we have come through the Rupert era (Twice) Untimely passing of Marcus being not only devastating for his family but for us as a club. We are a very big club that would interest a lot of potential investors as a ticket for Prem football. I guess our biggest problem will be a as a bottom end Champ club. Or dropping further where attracting staff to get back to the Prem, Champ becomes very very difficult. That’s the Medium term issue.
  8. I would normally always back the players, regardless of the manager or ownership. But this lot have completely given up now. Some are nowhere near the level of Prem Football, and have managed to steal their way to a living. Others that should know better and can play at this level, are cheating a living and looking for the next mug that signs them. Just hope he has a brief and budget to clear the decks and start again.

This appears to have Dragans fingerprints all over it. That surely isn’t a bad thing. Could this be the end for the Nordic nonce.

Jeezzz, why haven’t we given the job to Ramus already. That clearly is SRs 5 year plan…………………
  11. Their corrected for you, your welcome.
  12. Joey Barton come on………….
  13. Come on Joey Barton………….
  14. Just got back in the car. Is it really 0-4 now. Virgin Radio on the way back to Bristol.
  15. I’d take Mark Robbins in a heartbeat, over pretty much anyone else. Unless there is an unknown foreign coach with track record. But probably still give Robbins a shot, at least that would give us stability and half a chance of staying up.
  16. As I jokingly said in the other manager thread, Joey Barton please……….. I am beginning to think that isn’t such a bad idea. Could do with upsetting the Apple cart, we are falling into oblivion as it is. We are, Snowflakes in every department. I can’t see that changing anywhere in our Club anytime soon.
  17. Joey Barton please……………
  18. I genuinely don’t want to get involved with this discussion, but comment schoolboy error and a picture of JS at St Mary’s is pure magic………… What the fcuk, has it come too. God bless ML, wouldn’t happen on his watch.
  19. 💯 % right. It’s within his gift to change it. It’s down to him why he is having to repeat the same boring crap. At least if you change direction catch a few teams out, and still lose. You will at least have something different to talk about in the end of game interview. I can’t remember who the quote comes from but “if you continue to do the same thing, you will continue to get the same results” Its some better yourself, coaching for success book I’ve got somewhere. Maybe I should lend it to RM.
  20. Agree we haven’t got the best squad we have ever had. But there is enough here for a decent manager, that can get players playing. No jokes we even have a couple players a lot of teams in this league would want. It starts with a plan and blueprint. But is adaptable and fluid to suit the opposition and occasional. We keep repeating the same crap. Some of these players are top drawer otherwise they wouldn’t be playing at this level. It’s the Manager and structure. Give any top 4 manager in any league in Europe, and we would be mid table with this squad in this particular season.
  21. I can’t wondering if he so far up his own arse with telling his players what he wants how to play. Believing that his system is he only one in the world. ect ect ect. He has completely forgotten to do any homework on the opposition team and players and how the opposition sets up. Any idiot could see how that third goal was going to be scored.
  22. Players don’t look like they are playing for the management team. Discipline all over the place. They clearly don’t agree with the set up one bit. This is a decent group of pro football players, playing within themselves, angry and without any freedom, or voice by the looks of it. They are playing for themselves and tying to ignore the instructions, and I can’t blame them. They can see that RM isn’t going anywhere. Confidence in a group of players playing at this level is shocking. They are all looking for there next transfer. Why is RM still not being flexible. Other clubs will see right through him and he will be lucky to get another job in league football, due to his inability to read the game being played out in front of him. I’m not a football manager, but this isn’t rocket science to work out where it’s all going wrong for us.
  23. I would love to know why the fuck we haven’t picked up the phone to Mark Robins.
  24. Chopping and changing managers helps nobody, the manager the club or the players. You have to stick with a manager that shows he can develop, help improve, even move player positions for the benefit of club and player. Need to allow the manager to change, and work different styles of play against the particular opponents that they face that week. Work with DOF to identify what would fit a fluid changing style, but with a key ethos that is the cornerstone and heart of a winning flexible team that everyone buys into. We have Russell Martin and the DIC sorry DOF do that………………………………….
