I agree. JRod is waisted out there, he score a lot of goals last year from a central position and could score quite a few this year from a similar position. I was excited when we signed him at the thought of him partnering Lambert up front. I don't think that we will see that now!

Thursday tomorrow, we kick off in 3 days and no sign of any new signings. Considering the poor showing last weekend, I genuinely thought we might have made a big signing by now. If we play like we did last week and use the same system we will be murdered against City. The players are just not good enough!

Guly bashing has starter again then? I didn't think he was that bad, plus he only had about 15 mins in the pitch. Udinese played at a high tempo so would have been difficult for even the best players in the world to come on an make an impression. At the end of the day the WHOLE TEAM were not good enough! I don't understand why individuals on here must insist on singling out certain players because of hatred.

Just got home from tonight's monstrosity! I am extremely worried about the coming season, I can't draw any positives from the game. To me it seems that the players don't want to play the system and thats evident in their approach. I can understand that we need to try out different ways to play but I feel that we should be building on the successes over the last two years in terms of our formation. We seem to have put all our eggs during preseason playing a system that doesn't work with the players we have. God help us next Sunday!

I'm not his biggest fan however I'm willing to give him a chance as long as he shows he wants to be here. As for all those idiotic fans we have on here who fill that they should slag off players etc, they should be banned from posting! It's an absolute joke!

Guly is not a striker nor is he a winger, however is an attacking midfielder. I think that we might see him playing a more central role this year swapping with Lallana. We will bring in more players before the season starts, but I don't think that it will be at the expense of others now.

Guly? Are you mad? I think that Guly will be an important player for us this year. I don't understand why he has become a scape goat for people on here.
