We could do with Nathan Jones back. Is it two premier league wins since he went?

To be honest I really like the Championship. Most matches are 3pm Sat, it is really competitive and unlike the Premier league there are not seven or eight teams you know are going to be in their own mini billionaires league. Tickets are cheaper, we will probably win a few, some decent clubs to play and visit.

Get Jones back at least he won half a dozen games and could win cup matches

Decent hard working player. Rarely injured, good temperament, good motor and can play across the backline but prefers right wingback. Very good on set plays. Consistent championship player but not a world beater. Good squad player and value at £750,000 but won't stun the fans and could get shown up for pace in the premier league

Jones has got them playing well tonight, a carry on from Palace and good signings. Everyone wants him out but he is doing some good stuff.

Jones really starting to shape a new team now. I may be the only one on here to support but I think he has done well to persuade these two new signings to come here. Hopefully a decent result tonight as well

Kracken, I was born a Saint and lived in Luton 35 years. Watched Luton a lot and I rate Jones man management. Gets the best out of players and builds a good team. I think the hate and criticism is way to much. Been reading the forum and decided to join to add my view. Glad the Saints got a win today

We have the right manager and he has started with his first signing. Getting behind the team and manager would be the best option and give the bloke a chance. He will see what doesn't work and start to build a team

Good to hear an honest assessment for once, we have been in bottom of the league form for a year now and the squad are pretty weak so just true. It will take a while for anyone, even Pep would take a few months

I am not really sure this is the case. The Luton fans were pissed off when he left, we were top of the league but he went to a club in a higher league at the time offering ten times more pay. It didn't work and we were bottom of the league in January staring relegation in the face when he came back. The fans has doubts but he turned it around and then against all the odds led the team to the play offs and assembled the excellent squad they have now. A poll of Luton fans when he left this time had him as 98% liked. His football in his spell at Luton was very exciting but has been a lot more pragmatic and got results this times round, with a team of free transfers v teams with ex premier budgets it had to be. Whether he will do well at Southampton who knows, the Luton board gave him a year to find his feet in league two and he flourished. Where Southampton will do that I doubt, it seems they have decided already he is not good enough for them. I suspect he will end up as Wales manager
