  1. Another gaff - it’s obvious he’s not up to it yet still we continue. It’s not his fault he keeps getting picked but we aren’t going to be promoted with him in goal. I can only hope his shit preseason means we now have to address it. There’s no point spending millions on outfield players if your keeper is a liability
  2. Strange that no one has been linked with bazanu
  3. You must be joking - did you see the goal conceded on Saturday ? I don’t see anything to suggest he’s up to being the number one in a promotion winning team
  4. Suspect you’re right. There doesn’t appear to be any signs of bringing in a replacement even after another balls up on Saturday
  5. Surely a goalkeeper as well given the ones we have are crap. I don’t see us being promoted with bazanu in goal
  6. A good example of his shit positioning is the header conceded away to West Ham. On first glance you think there was nothing he could have done despite the header being so far out but on further analysis he got himself in the wrong position again so leaves himself too much to do. If he was bigger then he’s more chance of recovering and its also perhaps inexperience but he needs shifting and someone else bringing in
  7. Looks like he thought he would cross it and forgot to cover his near post. Sort of thing you’d get hammered for in sunday league. It’s a typical bazanu goal to concede from a nothing shot. He’s a real penchant for conceding weird goals because his positioning and decision making are shit so he manages to contrive to concede from innocuous shots or headers. I fear he will be our number 1 next season which I would find incredible given how poor he is and makes promotion very tough. Surely anyone with an ounce of footballing intelligence can see that he’s not up to it
  8. He was crap last year. It’s obvious he’s not up to it and never has been since he joined. Not much point spending loads of money on new players if your keeper is shit, yet still we persist with him. God knows why as we seem happy confine other shit signings to the transfer bin but we persist with him in the hope he might come good. His positioning is poor, he doesn’t command his box and he doesn’t prevent goals. He’s a nothing keeper and we can and should be looking for a significant upgrade
  9. Yes but he must have known a lot about the players otherwise why recommend we sign them ? Maybe Wilcox is a better judge. Neither of us know but it’s higher risk and so far we have a hit rate of 1 out of 4
  10. Possibly but shields had similar access to the squad and that didn’t work out as hoped. It might work but as I said it’s more high risk than the proven route of buying good and experienced players who have done it before and frankly our owners have done nothing to install confidence
  11. Would be nice to be linked with experienced proven players who aren’t crap rather than kids. It didn’t work last year so why would it work this year ? High risk again
  12. I don’t understand people saying they think he will be fine in the championship but wasn’t good enough for the PL. I don’t know what his level is but it isn’t part of in team that wants to challenge for promotion back to the PL.
  13. It should be too or near the top. Why do you think he will be fine ? I don’t get it when people say that. The goals in the championship are the same size, the shots as hard and he’s still small for a keeper with poor positional sense and command of his box. He’s doesn’t make many saves. He’s a liability
  14. Fear you are right and if so shows they haven’t learnt the lessons of last year
  15. Suspect we will end up with a flurry of outgoings towards the end of the window and a few incomings from Swansea and that will be it. There might also be a few loans of journeymen/kids no one has heard of. I don’t know why after the last 18 months anyone expects a positive window. I also fully expect bazunu to still be in goal when we kick off against the Owls
  16. He was total shite in the context of the premier league. I accept he can hold his own at Sunday leave level
  17. He’s not good enough - why would he be any better than last year when he was total shite ? We are crying out for an experienced goalkeeper who can make saves and command his box
  18. What makes you think they are on it ? At no point to date have they been anywhere near it
  19. I’m happy to be proven wrong but I doubt we will ever be talking about bazanu being world class. At the moment I’d settle for him being championship class but I don’t think he is
  20. “World class keeper” Really ? He was really poor last season and was one of the worst in the top European leagues for shot stopping. He cost us a lot of points and gained us hardly any. We need a new keeper if we want to challenge for promotion.
  21. Let’s be clear if we want to make a good first of coming back up we need a new keeper. We were shit last season and bazanu was a major part of that. I hear people say he will come good and maybe he will but I have seen little evidence of that. He doesn’t make many saves and therefore he doesn’t win us many points.
  22. Shame Armstrong isn’t on the bench - the game is crying out for him
  23. The competition is dire but I agree. The idea that he shouldn’t be one of the squad of forwards is a joke when you compare the rest and the type of player we will attract.
  24. You wonder at what level that team today would be competitive ? Clearly not premier league but I am not sure it’s even championship quality. Perhaps mid table league one but having watched Peterborough last night think they’d murder us in terms of pace and power. We are such a weak and insipid team. We’ve become a joke really.
  25. Think the Peterborough side would murder us. Football at pace and with power and width.
