  1. Pretty sure Gordon Watson did after he left us.
  2. He scored nine league goals for us in the Championship, and one League Cup goal the following season against Stevenage. Overall 10 in 18. I agree he did well for us, but he was not that prolific.
  3. And given we have committed the most fouls in the league too.
  4. I think that's his brother
  5. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/football-league/southampton-0-west-bromwich-0-physical-test-reduces-the-saints-to-hurlyburley-411690.html Apologies, but I couldn't resist
  6. Trawling through some clips from last season he does have a touch of the Jos clumsiness about him...and he doesn't look lightning quick either. Sent off three times in 26 games. (clips below for those interested) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNNI3lF51Uc
  7. By that same logic (which I do not disagree with) then so is Ronaldo. And he was in the list
  8. Unfortunately I don't think he'll ever get the chance he deserves. I mean Spain took Llorente to the Euros, one of the finest strikers in Europe at the time, and he got next to no playing time. I know they have a different system to England but still… SRL ****s over any England striker worth comparing to him right now. Rooney is untouchable, but beyond that the door is open. However Rickie’s face does not seem to fit. As gutted for the man I as I am, beyond that I’m ok with it. He’s our centurion, and if he only bangs them in for us (Saturday included) then so be it
  9. I agree. Adkins deserved to remain in charge until at least the end of the season to ensure our survival. Any plans to take us to the "next level" should have been carried out then, rather then a time when we are showing some form and resiliency. Does also make me think that Lambert's days might be nearing an end too, given his treatment of Tamudo.

  11. When he attempts to defend rather than wrestle the opposing strikers then he isn't bad.
  12. Always thought he was very talented yet inconsistent. He has really grown in the last few games (IMO since we beat Forest), and I would now rate as our best CM.
  13. It's just a suggestion, but he did start out as a winger and he's clearly better than everything we've got. I'd much rather have him in the squad than Holmes or Harding.
  14. Wayne Bridge? Used as a winger possibly? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16280364.stm "He has a chance, maybe not in the Premier League but in the Championship."
  15. Fair play. Then just hope the missus is as understanding as mine
  16. Either take her with you....or take her out that evening, you'll be back by 8 at the latest
  17. He didn't look like someone about to jump ship when he celebrated his goal
  18. And you have a reply, sir
  19. Morning guys and gals, All you travelling to Plymouth on Monday by train, and haven't got a ticket. I have bought four tickets with the groupsaver, initially with two of my mates but they have dropped out. Therefore I have two train tickets going from Southampton Central knocking about for £20, if anyone is interested please PM me. I know this isn't strictly Saints related, but with two days until the game I'm aiming for maximum exposure.
  20. Harding has been ****poor this season. Carlisle away being his highpoint
  21. I thought it was Ashley young
  22. On the back page today, it says we signed Lambert from Rochdale
  23. Before the game I'd have taken a point, but that was 2 points dropped. Seaborne is not good enough. We need a new centre back to play with fonte. We also need a more commanding goalkeeper. Kelvin was glued to his line and kept us under so much pressure. Unless we go on another run of 6 wins on the trot, then I think we are fighting for second.
