The only good to come from this is that its a step closer to hitting "the all time low" At least we all know where we stand now. F**ked. -

I was starting to feel sorry for NI, then I read this.... "Having read some of the critiscisms from the past few days on the darkside, I will say that most of those posting by their comments have no idea about the trust and have never sort to find out, prefering to snipe away on internet forums, to be blunt this is the single contributory factor as why the Saints trust does not have the membership base it should have and why Rupert Lowe and other ex directors of this club have ridden rough shed over the club for the past decade or so, anyone who read the season ticket renewal form in March 2008 will know the logistics 25,000 Saints fans join the trust last March at £10 per head,= £250,000 Trust buys 1 million shares @25p per share = fans own approx 4% of the Club, this wouldhave swung the balance of power against Lowe should the fans have wished it. If this had happened three years ago when the trust formed, then the club would not be in the position that it is now. Do we want to repeat these mistakes, are we going to learn from them or are we going to sit around and squabble on internet message boards " I can give you loads of reasons why the trust doesnt have the fanbase you had hoped for, none of them would be that "we dont understand" or know little about the trust. If more people saw the trust for what it was, it wouldnt even have 400 members. -

Surely, the only person that has up-to-date and accurate info would be Mark Fry. So now this is sounding a mixture of some people panicing because they have been told about any bids / not kept ITK, and some people seeing the situation as an ideal opportunity to get their feeet under the table. Now I dont want to slag Derry off (you have come across very well in this post) but if I was a prospective bidder, I wouldnt be handing out information about what I was doing to any old tom **** or harry. The fact that Derry, NI, Perry, SISA (the list goes on) havent heard anything doesnt worry me. Its when Mary Fry come out and says that all interest is over, thats when I will start to panic. -

I must admit Im venturing onto ground I dont know much about (not the first time !!) But, if we are at the stage of bidders having to prove funds, wouldnt it be easier to prove funds for a League 1 team, than a Championship team. Or do you only have to prove that you can pay off our debt? -

Is the reason that there are no formal bids becuase the bidders dont know a) what division we will be in next season b) if we will have a 10 point deduction. Surely, the outcome of a) and b) will dictate what bids come our way and what amount they are. -

Firstly, I think we all agree that NONE of us want to see Saints go down the pan. NONE OF US. So, when people reply with "so you would rather see saints cease to exist that unite the groups" the answer is a very firm NO. But that wasnt the question we were originally asked. if we had been asked "Would you rather see saints owned by a fans group or out of business all together" then the vast majority would want the former. But we werent, we were asked to give opinion on a specific situation. which we have given. So to come back with the argument that "you cant be a real saints fan if you want them to go under" is not really fully understanding the issues involed in this post. Another question I have: The last I heard was that there were 30+ potential investors. I have not seen any further update to suggest this amount has changed. So why are The Saints Trust, SISA etc of the opinion that we may end up with NO BIDS for the club. Have they been given information the rest of us dont know about. -
Cheers for that, dont know why i didnt google it in the first place.

this made me lol on many fronts.... - The cheekyness of the opening sentence. - The reference to my breast feeding dig a couple of days ago. - The fact that Ive just remembered your sister had a gum shield for a while.

A couple of months ago, Mrs Mars woke me up in the middle of the night to tell me to stop grinding my teeth. Now, I wasnt aware that i did this during my sleep, but as soon as she said it I knew that this was the explanation of years of jaw / head aches. The last couple of mornings I have woken up feeling that i have slept with my head in a vice all night and its starting to really p1ss me off. Does anyone else have this problem?, did they do anything to sort it out?, can the doctors / dentist do anything Cheers

Right, You obviously have some sort of issue with me because you have singled me out twice on here in recent days. So, to answers you questions, 1) Yes I can read (and write / type as well) 2) Yes, have read 90% of the posts on this forum over the years and have recently read up on S.O.S etc. You'll remember that I had a few questions concerning Saints Aid, which came about from me reading their new web site. You say that they don’t want to buy, take over or run the club, so what is it exactly they propose to do should no bids materialise. For you to suggests that I’m "gobbing off without understanding what they are trying to do" is immature and a little naive to be honest. I'll gladly meet up with you so we can chat about these issues you have. -

Why are all these individuals of the belief that there are NO BIDS coming our way. They have their heads so far up each others ar5e5 that they honestly believe that they are privvy to all info concerning Saints. If I was a serious bidder, Illingsworth / chorley / the trust etc are not the first people I would be contacting to give all my info to. Weston Saint - you say that we cannot be saints fans based on the fact we would rather let our club go under than be run by the trust. Well, these individuals cant be real fans if they are prepared to let their own agenda's get in the way of serious bidders. OPEN COMMENT TO MARK FRY: PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DONT DO A DEAL WITH ANYONE ASSOCIATED WITH THE SAINTS TRUST, SISA OR LEON CROUCH. SAINTS FANS ARE DESPERATE FOR A FRESH START, DONT LET US DOWN. -

This post sums up my feelings totally. How they have the audacity to get in the way of serious bidders at a time when SFC needs all the money they can get. My best advice for the trust would be to declare yourself out of the bidding, step aside and let the people with proper cash the chance to buy our club. If the trust think that majority of the saints fan base would be behind their bid, purley on the basis that the club would be "fan owned", then they are even more foolish than i previously thought. They have a Lowe-esque ability to not see what the public opinion of them is. WTF have they EVER done. -
Mrs Mars is going on a hen do to Barcelona in October and is looking for some accom for about 4 people. We were looking on tinternet and were amazed how pricey it can be (london prices) Does anyone know of any bargains out there. Cheers

Just got this email.... Nightingale Avenue Closure We have just received reports that an unexploded war time bomb has been found close to the shopping precinct in Nightingale Avenue and a 50m exclusion area has been put in place. This will obviously have an impact on the park and ride transport which will use the Leigh Road route to the site. It will also have an impact on traffic in the local area for the next few hours. First I would like to go on record saying that I wash after both. But, when you think about it, society thinks that its worse to not wash your hands after a poo than a wee. Poo - you touch a bit of toilet roll and maybe hold a cheek. Wee - you touch your willy Strange

How the hell can you put a figure on it

Cheers for answering my questions Simon. It wasnt meant as a dig, they were genuine questions. Like I said, the last one was a joke
-
Cheers for your reply. Question 10 was a bit of a dig, but the others are genuine questions.... NB: You'll see that I entered into the spirit of things in earlier posts.

Whilst I commend you on trying to do something to save Saints, I dont think this is a great idea, I have some questions to reflect that.... 1. What sort of turn out do you expect. 2. How much money raised would be considered a success 3. What are the acoustics like in the Itchen Concourse 4. What measures are in place to ensure that only the paying customers listen / see the music and not a load of freeloaders 5. How much will that cost 6. How much will it cost to Police the event. 7. If you manage to get the The Delays, do you consider them to be a crowd puller. 8. Is it a good idea to organise it under the umbreller of the Saints Trust, knowing what reputation they have amongst most Saints fans. 9. Is it a good idea to publish the names of those organising it knowing that this will put off some people from attending. 10. Are the "VERY special guests" Mike Osman, Franny Benali and Le Tiss.
