because its in the best interest of the club and its reputation?

Our aim should be to not hold the record for the amount of points lost from a winning position. 24 wasnt it? That would put us 6th!

Yeah, but is it as good as John Lewis or Waitrose.

Mauricio Pochettino: The Argentine at Southampton with big plans

I thought we (Pochettino) tried to sign Coutinho in Jan, only for him to turn us down in favour of Liverpool. -

The article makes no mention of an interpreter present, wonder if the interview is in English or Spanish. Find out tomorrow on Football Focus I guess. -
Was also in the Express on Tuesday. Not that that adds weight to the rumour. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/395811/Southampton-set-sights-on-Celtic-trio-Victor-Wanyama-Gary-Hooper-and-Fraser-Forster

This, hope to god he stays; but if he wants to go, there's not much we can do about it. Just hope that if he does want to go, he does what Crouch did - shut his mouth, don't talk up a move elsewhere and allow us to get as much money for him as possible.

Pochettino targets Champions League spot next season
Marsdinho replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Fair enough, but you could also spin it that he has not been able to progress a team that consistently finishes top 8, to something a bit higher, despite spending £75M. Also, a team that finishes top 8 most seasons, should have won a cup by now, to be fair. Where do you think Moyes will end up if he leaves Everton - Man U, Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal? - I doubt if he would get the gig at any of those; maybe Arsenal but why would they appoint someone that hasnt won anything, after 7 years of not winning anything. I think he will need to go abroad to prove himself. I've only one post left after this, so ill have to pick my response carefully. -

Not terrible, just not the shrewdest in the league. I think, along with Martinez, he's got to be one of the most overrated managers going. He's spent £75M on 42 players in his time at Everton (£6M on Beattie!!!!) and has got nothing to show for it. NC would have had him out the door after the first or second season. -

Shrewd enough to have won f*ck all in the 11 years he's managed Everton. Don't tell me, he's done it all on a small budget. -

Damn the 3 post rule. At least I have the decency to only make myself look silly on the odd occasion.

Make your point, I've clearly made mine in the highlighted text.

Yes I have read the whole article, but you don't really need to. Just read the comments from Nick.

http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/10341575._/ Nick Illingworth, editor of the Saints online fanzine Ugly Inside, thinks a new scheme may not have a big take-up among fans. He said: “The original agreement needs renegotiation. If they introduced the same thing I think the effect would be minimal. People are creatures of habit and I don’t think saying to them that they can have free bus travel will change their habits necessarily. “It all comes down to money. If you asked Saints fans if they wanted a free ticket then they would say yes, even if they only lived 50 yards away from St Mary’s. “Solent Bluestar already run a similar discount scheme for fans. “I do think free taxi rides would be great, as there are lots of supporters who live outside of the city.” Also, I must have missed his sacking from the role of Saints Trust Spokesman.

Can one of the nutjobs on here do me a favour and sum up in a few sentences what has been going on down in Pompey. I've been in a world of my own these last couple of weeks and have not kept up with developments. Cheers
