Funny you should say that. I have a friend that is a tribal leader of a community just north of Baghdad. He has said on quite a few occasions that he would like me to go out there for a visit. One of his main selling points was that we could shoot AK47's in his back garden I can see it now....its 50 degrees in the shade, im sweating my gonads off, my new wife has passed out in the heat and im spraying AK47 rounds everywhere. Above us in the sky there seems to be a silver bird flying very fast. Wait...thats no bird....its an F-22. Next thing we know is me and Nowzat are chewing on a bunkerbuster Think ill give it a miss for now....

Following their great success at re-arranging the result of the 2008 Belgian Grand Prix, the race stewards are now turning their attention to other sporting events that have finished. Outraged sports writers from the world's news media have slammed them for having no experience in judging football or athletics or swimming, but now the stewards have hit back. They have rightly pointed out that they have just as much knowledge of floor gymnastics and athletics as they have of F1 Notices of Re-Classification Olympic 100 metres The Olympic 100 metres final has been reviewed by the stewards and Usain Bolt has had 25 seconds added to his time. The stewards verdict was that Bolt... "didn't run across the line properly and started celebrating way too early". Tour de France Carlos Sastre has hung on to his position as winner of the Tour de France, but second-place man Cadel Evans from Australia has seen his second place wiped out. "Evans is just a back wheel sucker," said Belgian steward Yves Bacquelain, "he never does any of the work on a climb." As Bacquelain is the same nationality as the great Eddie Merckx his decision cannot be overturned. Swimming Michael Phelps has seen his Beijing medal haul cut from eight to seven after the stewards decided to hand the win of the 100m butterfly to Milo Cavic. Apparently second-placed man Cavic was almost there first and morally was the winner. Gymnastics - Beam Less controversial is the stewards' ruling that American gymnasts Natia Liukin and Shawn Johnson should swap positions in the Beam event at Beijing. Liukin drew huge praise for her artistic performance on the apparatus but lost out to a more complex, but artistically clunky routine from American rival Johnson. "We have decided that Nastia should get the gold because she is a much fitter than Shawn Johnson," said Nicolas Deschaux Champions League Final Chelsea are the new champions of Europe after winning the recalculated penalty shoot-out in Moscow. The stewards decided that Manchester United's narrow victory by 6-5 wasn't correct. They have allowed John Terry's missed penalty to count. "We feel that he would have scored if he hadn't lost his footing on a poorly prepared pitch, which was out of his control and so award him the penalty." Chelsea now win 5-4. F1 And finally, Jenson Button and Nick Heidfeld will both have 10-place grid deductions for the Italian Grand Prix after the Kenyan steward discovered they both had beards as scruffy as Sebastien Loeb's.

Hello all, I thought id ask you lot to help me come up with a good holiday destination. Well, i say holiday, its actually for my honeymoon. Got married two weeks ago and spent last week in the lake district (which was nice) However, we plan to go on our "proper" honeymoon in January, but cant decide where to go.... We have certain criteria that we would like our hoilday to meet, they are: - Its got to be faaaarking hot and sunny, and when I say faarking hot I mean really faarking hot. - Mrs Mars likes the idea of golden sandy beaches - I get bored sitting on a beach all day, so I need stuff to do (either sporting activities or, dare i say it, historical / cultural things to look at) So far we have thought about: The Maldives - i think i would get bored as there doesnt seem much to do Carribean - Too many americans for my liking (i might be wrong) Reunion Island - Cyclone season Can anyone suggest a good place to go that will tick all the boxes. Cheers

Another reason to sign... http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,18954,3213_4130171,00.html McLaren stressed that they had twice received assurances from race control that Hamilton's manoeuvre was 'okay'. Speaking immediately after the race, team boss Ron Dennis specifically named Whiting as providing those assurances.

Didnt want to add this to the "Belgian GP" thread as thought it may have been lost amongst all the posts. There is an online petition to get the FIA to reverse their decision to give Lewis a 25 second penalty. Please sign and pass to as many people as you can. Thanks http://www.petitiononline.com/belgp08/petition.html

Is there any way of copying / downloading txt messages from a phone, so that they can be used in a legal dispute. Would I have to go to my phone provider for these records or is there a way of doing it myself. Cheers

I would also have gone for Terry, Rio is a wannabe rapper/gangster who is also a drugs cheat. Terry has the typical bulldog spirit and IMHO guaranteed a place in the team. FWIW: I would have had Terry and Carragher at the back for the last few years. I would have told Rio "braaap" Ferdinand to "do one"

Marsdinho replied to Weston Saint's topic in General Sports
I am ITK (seriously) and this isnt a surprise. Not only has the results been bad, but he has "lost" the dressing room as well. -
If you were aware of a car that had been abandoned for at least a week and also knew that the owners had left the country (and the car) behind for ever, could you help yourself to the car / parts. If not, how could you legally go about helping yourself, would you have to go to the police, DVLA, CAB etc etc... Can anyone shed some light on the situation, Thanks in advance
