Although I still think he'd have been useful under Jones/if Selles tried making us cross into him, he's the last player Russell Martin would want up top and would be horrific with our passing style of play. Still a good target man at Champ level/weak European leagues though.

Was also brilliant against United both games last season, but definitely best for a while.

You could have been saying that for years but we've had 3 different keeper coaches in the last 4 years, it's possible they're all terrible, or it might just be the keepers and what's in front of them.

No idea (not my page), though I think TEAMtalk might be one of those which report everything they hear without much filter for accuracy.

Dom and Kami have received their first England u19 call-ups.

I must say I've found his social media posts pretty entertaining the past few months. He's been training with Venezuela u16s, playing for England u16s and also being in Portugal u16s training camps. A very busy lad, and in demand both internationally and domestically. He will always grab headlines with his frankly ridiculous goal-scoring record, but the longer we keep quiet about Harrison Miles who is younger, yet plays regularly at u18, the better.

Just a loan for Lyanco, sadly.

He is definitely taller than 5'8. Watching him he looks longer limbed on the pitch than most players, and comparing heights I'd guess 6' to 6'1. Definitely not a short DM like wiki and other sites say - you'll see he's quite a bit bigger.

Small is incredibly gifted athletically and physically for his age (only turned 19 this month compared to someone like Simeu who is 22 this season), he's also pretty good technically when it comes to taking players on and finishing. His attitude and positional sense are lacking hugely which is why I don't understand why he's not permanently converted to an Adama Traore-type winger.

Simeu was never that highly rated and was never bought by us to become a senior figure but rather plug a gap in our academy for a season at CB. Whereas Tino was always one of the standouts from u16 up to u21 at Chelsea and was expected to go onto become a PL player/international.

Finnigan has always been tall. When he made his debut in the senior team in 20/21 he was about 6'2 or 6'3 looking and that was years ago when he was 17. Ralph always rated him very highly so interested to see what happens this season given he was a regular in League 2 end of last with Crewe.

Beginning a thread for SAA (which isn't transfer related from last summer) given he'll likely break through this season, and has been probably our best player in pre-season. What a brilliant talent he's looking, and for less than £1m. Got 8 goals and 5 assists last season in u21 football so end product might not yet be there, but struggle to see how any of our other wingers can keep him out.

Some more obscure ones from the past decade which haven't been listed: Mario Lemina at Galatasary Wesley Hoedt at Lazio Paulo Gazzaniga at Spurs Dani Osvaldo at Porto Rickie Lambert at Liverpool Martin Caceres at Juventus Jeremy Pied at Lille Kevin Danso at Lens (next season) Matt Targett at Newcastle (next season if there's injuries/rotation) There's also a bunch who have played CL qualifiers inc. Steve de Ridder, Vegard Forren, Moi Elyounoussi (on loan), Jordy Clasie, Eljero Elia, Artur Boruc.

Sam Edozie was very clearly never one of City's top academy prospects (and despite this was still better than our senior wide options last season). Borges, Medube, McAtee, Palmer, Kayky and Bobb were always all ahead of him at City - that's a lot of incredible talent to be up against. To compare, Lavia and Charles were consistent and key players in the heart of their title winning sides and at a younger age then Edozie was.
