Could be nothing in it, but my old man who still lives in Soton said that he saw Jack Wilshire at the petrol station on Lodge Road the other day. I didn’t read anything into it until I saw that he’s been released by Arsenal which had escaped me during my holidays. I live close to the Arsenal training ground and have bumped into Jack twice whilst in a coffee shop and he’s come across as a good lad, happy to pose for photos, one with my wife and once with my heavily pregnant friend so his attitude seems a good fit - minus the smoking maybe. Thoughts? Similar position Lamina and Romeo I’d have thought, unless he’s the Tadic replacement and we change our formation for next season maybe? Anyway, just thought I’d share.

I met half of the England team whilst on holiday in Marbella and managed to blag my way on to Ashley Coles stag do over there - was hardly a private island somewhere that's out of reach for the average joe - just a beach club in Spain. I've also been in many clubs and bars around the UK, including Southampton, and been in the same VIP area as many footballers, seen and heard many things. I've just had an email from the club to confirm the corporate section have until 5:30pm on Wednesday 8th to claim their ticket, so I'd imagine that season ticket holders will be able to buy from the morning after. We have been allocated 31,000 tickets for the game. See you all there!

Thursday 9th Feb would be my guess. I've just been told that our window in corporate closes the day before.

Mark is the best steward I have ever come across. Genuinely nice guy, well mannered and always smiling. Definitely send an email to the club, he deserves recognition.

It's a gorgeous house but nothing in comparison to where the majority of the Arsenal players live down the road from me in West Common - some of these places sell for £10m with 'only' five bedrooms!

I've been told by someone at the club, someone who has exposure to transfer dealings, that it's very much a possibility and that there have been some very serious discussions regarding acquiring his services for the coming season.

Tiote is a replica of Wanyama and for all of his disciplinary worries, he was banned less than Wanyama this season. Walcott has been excluded from the England side and has hardly played this season, maybe he'd be willing to take a pay cut? Regarding any player suggestions on this thread, it's about Who Could Do A Job For Us, so why not add players that could and should be on our radar - we have the biggest war chest in our history to spend!

Who says that we aren't already or won't? Unless you know for sure what players are paid then your comment is pointless.

Benteke to replace Pelle Walcott to replace Manè Wijnaldum or Tiote to replace Wanyama Stek to replace Davis All have Prem experience and would be excellent signings. Add Oxlade Chamberlain to the mix to take the burden off Davis and we have a happy summer camp. Other signings to boost the squad would be great but as many have said already, the youngsters deserve their opportunities and the cups are the perfect time.
