I was wondering……. When Ralph joined us and we were doing relatively well he used to deploy the geganpress as our style. So when the opposition defenders had the ball they had three or four Saints players breathing down their necks. It was effective as I recall but we would fade after 70 minutes. Henceforth, leads and points chucked away. Now we use 5 subs surely this would counter the tiredness ? In fact, you could change all midfield and attack man for man. If the opposition went long ball over our midfield then Salisu and Bella would eat up the high ball. im sure it’s more complex than as I see it.

I agree. I have a feeling things are going to get worse before they get better. It’s almost like an internal ideals struggle. For me this isn’t all about Ralph. It’s about addressing an horrendous run of games. We just need a change of direction and energy. I actually like the fact that SR are taking their time trying to get the right person in place. That’s assuming they are, because if they are not then it is very alarming. Sunday will be strange as if we win then this could drag on for another month. I want change but I also want us to win. I’m guessing that the fans will give everything in a big way on Sunday but as soon as something goes wrong they will turn quickly. Ralph’s personality has bought him 10 extra games than most would of got. Lose Sunday though and things could get nasty if there is not imminent change.
