Huge game this. I know they are all three points for a win etc but if we can get a win against these then the momentum and belief will really gather some momentum. ironically I think they will miss Ings. Lavia plus one holding and JWP playing the Mount role could cause them problems. if we squeeze them and they decide to go long I believe Car and Salisu will win the Ariel balls. Hope we get all over then in first fifteen minutes and rattle their defence. let’s hope the atmosphere is good and positive before hand.

When I stuck up not for him but to give him a chance some 🛎 end accused me of being his family. it scared me to think of a typical football fan running a club. It would be like Pompey under redknapp. I was at the Fulham and Brighton games and things were not that bad. Forest was one game but people even now are crapping on about it. One game under a new manager. we might go down and we might have the wrong manager but the lunatics nearly took over the asylum. That’s more scary

I went to the game. It was difficult to play today the wind and rain were changing direction all the time. I thought JWP was brilliant today. He was a handful all game. Thought he was everywhere. Caleta Car and Lyanco were so big and strong in the tackle. KWP really ran at them. We had two or three one on ones with their keeper. Pickford made some good saves. it was quite hostile first half and their scally fans were giving verbals to us after they scored so revenge was so so sweet. their away end is disgraceful by the way. Shouldn’t be aloud. Happy for Jones and the team. They are really playing for him.

I can honestly say I would currently hate to manage us. We as fans are giving hardly any slack for someone to find their feet. If we lost tomorrow it will be like Armageddon. We will have twenty more games to go. just wish people would collectively get behind what’s happening and not demand it or expect it. just my opinion of course. We have been about the 15th best team in the top flight for about thirty of the last fourty years. What we have achieved in comparison to virtually all our peers ( Sunderland, Coventry, Norwich, QPR, Oldham, Forest, Pompey the list goes on ) is amazing. I think we as fans have lost a lot of perspective.

But do you not think it will take a period of change to go from Ralphball to a new way and sometimes it will get worse before it gets better. Wasn’t Arteta getting called out in his first half season ? Forest was crap but it’s not like we have had ten games of that from NJ. I was at Fulham and Palace and I could see it changing all the time.

Because a lot of ‘fans’ through threw toys out of their prams. Didn’t give the new owners etc a chance to try and change something that has been also slagged off for the last 4 years. when he gave it back the fragile fan couldn’t handle it back. ‘How dare he’ ….. ‘it’s not in his remit’ …. Not covering himself in glory. He might be the wrong appointment but in 40 years of supporting saints I don’t think I have ever seen us behave like this. I always thought we were fair. But this has been personal from thousands towards him. anyway, I’ll be going tomorrow and supporting 100 percent the team. tin hat on

I dont think anyone disagrees with the last three league games but he just deserves time and a proper chance. The majority of fans haven’t given him that. Ralph, tactically managed the club from the top to the bottom and that had momentum in only one direction. To start to change that is going to take a shit load more than 1 or 2 league games. he is changing the way we play, do people really think that is going to bring instant results ? I think the team that has given Man City the hardest games this year have been Brentford I believe. Maybe just maybe SR have a plan and people should give them a chance and not be so fxxking fickle. fair play NJ is giving it back a bit. I would a lot more than he has. I am not saying he is the answer just give him and SR a chance and support them. The nervousness from the players against Forest was pretty much in synch with the moaning from the crowd about mistakes. I hope it has got worse so it can get better from the team. You hit rock bottom and then you get momentum up. We need to support and not moan so much. It will only accelerate whatever way we are heading in either direction. I was there last night and there were large parts of the game at two nil up when you could hear a pin drop.

One result doesn’t make a season and he might be the wrong guy but that was one of the best tactical performances I have ever seen from us. Could of been 4 0. just give him time FFS.

I went to the game yesterday and fans started to shout anti NJ songs after about 15 mins. Tbf, the start wasn’t great. However, the players battled hard for a manager they supposedly don’t like ive always said that NJ might be the crappest appointment ever but he needs a chance. Ralph was almost an old school manager in so much his playbook dictated the way the whole club played from top to bottom. it is going to take any manager months to change things. Yesterday and against Fulham I saw glimpses of how things could work moving forward. Just going to take patience.

I went to the game yesterday. Great support by the way. Must of been over 2k there and it was pissing down. I know people were gutted with the result as I was I. However, there were green shoots there. It was so much better than Brighton. We were pressing a lot more. The tackling was the most aggressive it’s been since Ralph early days. There were pockets of better actual football going forward. It was the best I have seen Moi play ( I know, I know ). Adozie (sic) gets better every game and we were the better team for an hour of the game. on the flip side I have no idea what’s happened to Aribo and the keeper does look shaky. I copped some stick in the week for sticking up for the manager but surely people can see from the form table that he has a huge job on his hands. He may well be the wrong man for the job but he needs some patience. He is changing the team a lot because he is giving players a chance to show him what they can or can’t do. his style of play will be similar to Brentford I would guess and we are in transition He could be a crap appointment and we may go down but let’s give it all a chance. anyway, I’m ready for the pelters !

At the game and the bight and tackling was back for the first half hour then disappeared after the goal. Lavia for Moi and Armstrong for Aribo needs to happen. Our confidence is shot. we need a goal.

Yeah, players have off days. Especially with a new Manager having his first proper league game. I couldn’t care less about NJ and he might be the wrong guy but as far as I see it he deserves a chance. The appointment is made so I think we should get behind him. I see it as a step towards the way Brentford play. Direct and fast with athletic players. the exact opposite to RH sideways and backward passing of the last few seasons. There will be a challenging period of change. This is it.

Well said James this place is like the loony asylum. I get the frustrations but we are starting to change the way we play as it wasn’t working before the way we played. the shit NJ is getting is really poor form from us as supporters. I watched the Leeds fans sing louder the more goals they conceded last night. We could do with getting more behind our team

Someone speaks sense. A modicum of sense in a sea of sh1t. What do people expect with first proper game. The opposition had been playing for a month and are match fit. Plus they would of raised their game. You can see that this is a new way of playing being gradually phased in. We generally played the ball forward a lot quicker. There were more crosses and more running at their full backs. Also cut back crosses were good to see. The transition from defence to attack was quicker. People need to cut him some slack and support the direction of travel otherwise we will implode very very quickly. I like him so far. I see bits of WGS in him. Who was also slagged off when he joined us. NJ might be crap but can we give him a go first.

Just got in as well. We won ! It’s a rebuilding job and it’s going to take time. We have two thirds of the season to go and the Manager did an early change tactically with subs and we won. Their goal was a fluke and that was our first competitive game for 6 weeks. You could see players were not match fit. The longer the game went on the more they gelled. We can see that we will be getting the ball into the box a lot more than under Ralph. Edozie looked really good bar the howler of a miss. Che was greedy for a hat trick. Isn’t that what we want ? A goal greedy striker. We moan as fans so much it’s unreal. Get behind the manager and team. It’s a new start ffs.

Personally, I think this is what the team needs. Ie, calling out. Diallo has no right imo to be anything other than compliant to what the Manager says or instructs. The teams form for the last 12 months has been horrendous and I mean truly horrendous. They don’t have any right to any teapot stance or attitude problem. I suggest they get on board as they say. I also think the same applies to the fans. its a relegation scrap and like we did for many years at the Dell, the fans will need to support and get behind the team. Let’s make a load of noise at SMS and get behind NJ and the team. They will need it.

I am sure six tickets but still not received. Anybody else the same ?
