He is just standing up for himself. Isn’t that what we want ? As a person and as a manager ? Especially to get us out of this mess. He took over a team 91st out of 92 in the form league for the last 12 months. Within 2 games of him being here he is being slaughtered ( personally ). I don’t know if he is the right man for the job but I’ll give him a chance and I’m talking 20 / 30 games. If we go down I’ll back him to bring us back up. The definition of a supporter is to support the club. We are miles from that. These owners have done more imho than any others have. I’ll back their choice of a manager. I believe they know more than random fans who are never at training. Don’t see how the manager and players get on and have not seen the plans for the team and club. I’ll get pelters for this but that’s my thoughts. fans of all clubs have become to fickle, to spoilt and too impatient. Fergie at United, Arteta at Arsenal and Strachen / Poch at us got stick in first 6 months.

I think what he is trying to address is the fact that pre his appointment we have been vulnerable by picking short fullbacks ( KWP, Cedric etc ). This has made us open to basically cross field passes and balls over the top ( ooeerrrr ). He is trying to stop this much like Newcastle have with the the tall lad they bought from Brighton.

Hopefully now everyone can put the past behind them and get behind the manager and team for the rest of the season. It isn’t going to come instantly and it will be one titanic struggle but if everyone stops the bitching ( including NJ ) and gets behind the club we might, just might stay up. UTS !!

Well said. I admire the bloke for having the backbone to bight back and not fold. He may be the wrong guy for the job but the way we haven’t got behind him has really shocked me. I’m nearly 50 and been a ST holder for 30 years and in my opinion this hasn’t been our finest hour as a set of fans. He is just trying to do a job and the personal staff is pretty rank on our behalf. when he defends or retaliates people say he is stepping out of line. Wtf do they expect him to do. I would propose that those who don’t want to give him a chance don’t go to games and those that do…… do. I reckon the atmosphere would change and yes, the players would do better.

Front footed and aggressive for me means that we get forward a lot lot quicker than we did with Ralph at the end of his tenure. aggressive means we might lose but teams won’t bully us off the ball as much. ( no more 9 nils ) has to start somewhere. So it looks like from the back.

I get that but shouldn’t he be given time ? He is trying to completely change the way we are playing. The old way took us second bottom in the entire professional football structure over the last year. it looks like he is starting from the back, getting the players fired up and being more on the front foot. It is not his fault he has no goal scorer. Tbf, it looks like he is trying something new with JWP which has resulted in his best goal scoring run. Plus he should have had one against Villa. Then no big deal but we disagree. I thought he was by far our best player. Read the game well and was always on the front foot. Had a few missed placed passes but easily his best game for us.

I thought we played well. Everyone can see our confidence is shot. I thought Diallo had a blinder and appears to be getting better each game. Mara was really good and if only Che had composure for that chance. KWP is far better on the right and Perraud will be on the left. It gives balance to the team. the Defence is important icing all the time too. Alcatraz was excellent and the through ball to Che was superb. Luck will come and it will be tough but if I compare that to the Forest game I see improvement. fingers crossed we can but a forward. I honestly don’t think anyone else could do more with this squad and the confidence than what NJ is doing. it’s hard not feeling sorry for ourselves at the moment as our home luck is just not happening.

So he has scored 8 goals this season. So he has had 160 chances ?? Really ???

Maybe they are saying what we have is okay so other clubs don’t think we utterly desperate ( which we are ) ? Anyone possibly thought of that ? Or he wants to give our current two some backing for confidence. it’s funny as when I was growing up and watching Lineker, Cottee etc I remember them missing as many chances as they scored. We don’t actually create a lot for Adams. Yeah misses ‘easy’ chances like at wolves and forest but he doesn’t get three or four chances a game.
