A major issue is the fact that he well might want to move back to the area where he has probably lived most of his life.

Shambolic,we have been poor the last 3 games, really disappointed with Brooks, thought he would run the show tonight. We will get hammered at Ipswich,Leicester and Leeds if we play like this and god knows what Liverpool will do to us. The biggest worry is being totally out played by an average side

Sekou Mara - Official: Signs for Strasbourg
Andrew Watson replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Starting to look the part,it is about time we had someone to convert chances in and around the 6 yard box and the skill to lay on the 5th goal was magnificent. -
Maybe not the best goal, but the goal THB scored at Loftus Road was a pretty classy finish for a centre back.
-
Well done Saints, sounded easy in the end, very pleased for Mara, unlikely to shut up the Mara haters on here though.

Agree totally with the above post.

We have closed gap between Ipswich and us to 1 point [ was 10 points 6 games ago]. the fact we have to play the top two away from home obviously makes the games harder, however on tonights game we do not have to fear either game.
-
Did not realize that Leeds play Preston and Norwich at home and Bristol City away before we play Rotherham,so if they win all 3 they go above us,albeit we will have 2 games in hand.
-
Leicester win, staying second will be good psychologically, especially with a 12 day gap till the next game.
-
Could have scored 6 goals and more in the first half, when we were excellent,we need to take all our chances against the other teams in the top six away from home. I doubt that we will create that many chances at WBA,Leicester,Ipswich and Leeds. For the record Don Goodman did say Swansea were the better team in the 2nd half, but he also said that Saints first half performance was the best he had seen from any club this season.

A down to earth footballer,a decent guy and a very good player, what more could we want from RF.

Mel Blyth was a very cultured and classy defender. RIP Mel.

If only Adams could hit every shot as cleanly as he hit the shot for his goal today.
-
Delighted to be proved wrong, re the slow paced play.If we can put the away games to bed with a 2nd or 3rd goal,we really do have a chance with automatic promotion.
-
Good post woodsaint1, I agree with your views. I suppose one day I will have to accept that for now at least,we are being seriously upstaged by that tinpot club on the West side of the M27.

Who would have thought in 2016,that a mere 8 years later we would find ourselves in this position. This has been put into perspective by the possible loan of David Brooks, being overtaken by Brighton is okay, but little Bournemouth [ Who it grates me to say have a much better squad, and survive with 11,000 gates and a rich yank]. How did it ever come to this ?

Saints 4-0 Sheffield Wednesday - Saturday 3pm
Andrew Watson replied to goodymatt's topic in The Saints
Had Cardiff taken a quarter of their many chances on saturday, they could have won the cup tie. If Wednesday are as poor at the back this weekend we will beat them easily. -
We will do well to keep hold of him,if we do not go up this season or next. Hopefully we do go up and that situation does not come into play.
-
Seems like we have scored against the run of play, need to up the pace in the second half. Would take Chair off them in january.

My neighbour a Plymouth season ticket holder thinks they might get Warnock in for the rest of the season. NW only lives 40 minutes away from Home Park.

Saints 4 actual goals vs 0 Blackburn - Match Thread
Andrew Watson replied to Convict Colony's topic in The Saints
Excellent performance, would be nice to see the same team next week and how nice to see the fourth goal was a tap in,we would score more goals if we had players actually following up a keepers parry. -
Was in Tesco Launceston, Cornwall tonight wearing my Saints coat. A worker there came up behind me and said - Thanks for your best player,it turned out that he was a life long West Ham fan,who has watched them home and away for the past 40 years. He waxed lyrical for 2 minutes plus about how highly he and other West Ham fans rate JWP. He was very surprised that I did not think that he was our best player. [ Lavia and KWP,for starters.]

If you are happy with the tippy tappy dross Farmer Saint, I politely suggest that you stick to milking your cows.
