As the club has wasted circa 13 million pounds laying off the last two managers,we could be stuck with this manager for at least another season. What a sobering thought to look forward to,more dross tippy tappy possession football, all this seasons best players gone [ THB,KWP,FD,RF ] and next to no money to get better players in for next season. Had the club got Sean Dyche in instead of the awful Welsh manager we would probably still be in the Premier league, what an absolute shambles of a club who now rank a very miserable third on the South Coast. Totally pissed off fan of 61 years.

Leeds will do the same to us at Elland Road and we are not getting out of this league for years. For the record we got the double over this lot last year.
-
Totally irrelevant after yesterdays pathetic result and second half performance,at least when we lose it will not be as hard to take , Lose 3 - 1. No chance in the play offs either, but have thought that for weeks.
-
If Adams and Armstrong could finish they should both be close to 30 goals each,as for Martin do not have the words. Beyond angry but not surprised, they really are a bunch of over paid, spineless pussy cats.

I thought 5th at start of season, the bowling looks a real worry though. I think we might regret giving Abbot this year and maybe Abbas as well,KA has been a magnificent signing, but at 36,playing 4 day cricket as a strike bowler is a very tough ask. I would be delighted to be proved wrong of course.

Watford had nothing to play for and were very unlucky to get nothing from yesterdays game, if we cannot put games to bed it does not augur well for the last 5 games and the play offs.
-
It could now possibly be Norwich in play offs.
Andrew Watson replied to Andrew Watson's topic in The Saints
Two porous defences against 2 high scoring forward lines, could be a very interesting 2 games in store with plenty of goals. 5 goals each in the 2 drawn league games. -
As crazy as it might have sounded a month or two ago, there is every chance this scenario playing out. A different proposition to WBA and possibly a much harder one, they are the form team since the new year,we could expect a much harder game than we had there on new years day, where we dominated and threw away 2 points.

His not knowing his best side and playing Stephens and Manning and not changing Bazunu [ probably because we do not have another decent keeper ] has cost us automatic promotion. The best thing he has done in his time here, was refusing to meet our horrendous PM,who belongs to an equally hideous party.

In total agreement with Coalman,Adams is not an instinctive finisher as I and many others on here have said. Chez and Gio1saints are perfectly entitled to their opinions which is what a forum is for,a very good friend of mine who played a decent standard in the seventies and eighties says Adams is one of the worst finishers he has ever seen, his overall Saints average is under 1 goal every 4 games. Hardly a world beater but everyone to there own.

Appear to be playing for Cleverly, some thing they were very reluctant to do for Ismael. Must win and very winnable if we approach the game in thr right way and play the right side.
-
Although Coventry did not complain about either goal,I thought there was a touch of handball with both goals. As for the second goal Adams had no idea where the ball was and did his best to miss an open goal with his head before fortunately hooking the ball in from a yard with his right foot. The man is a total liability in front of goal.

We need decent form going into the play offs,2 points out of 9 going into the game is shocking,be very surprised if we get more than 4 - 5 points from these 3 games. 1 -3 to Coventry,we will not handle Wright or Simms [ who up to a few weeks ago was a total donkey ].
-
Do not bank on our bottlers beating the skates at Fratton next year, what a dreadful thought that is,but we really are a bunch of softies who fold under any sort of pressure.
-
JUST LEAVE AND TAKE YOUR TURGID ATTEMPT TO PLAY FOOTBALL WITH YOU. IN FEBRUARY WE HAD A CHANCE OF TOP 2 FINISH,NOW WE ARE ABSOLUTELY AWFUL AND GOING NOWHERE.
-
MayFifth, very good posts,as I posted when another Town fan came on a few months ago it is extremely sad that your greatest ever player Kevin Beattie is not around to see his beloved team doing so well.
-
From a good mate a big QPR fan, I was told that the Rangers fans rated him their worst keeper for years.
-
Martins awful team selections and failure to ditch the tippy tappy dross in games when we are struggling have cost us automatic promotion. We will lose to WBA in semis and finish in mid table next year if we persevere with him,as the idiots running the club are seemingly happy to keep him in charge. A bit of the grit shown by an average Ipsich side last night would not go amiss, they stayed in the game and we folded like a pack of cards when it came to the crunch.
-
Ipswich picked up 6 points from Blackburn and Saints being very lucky to win either game,we picked up 1 point from Boro and Ipswich playing well for an hour in each game. Ipswich are hard to beat we are not,we are far too easy to play against and the man in charge is loath to change things, the managers team selections have cost us automatic promotion, with Mckenna as manager with our squad we would be top,no doubt about that.

Please leave with JW, Mr Martin.
-
Does any one think we really have the balls to reach the play off final, let alone win it How the hell do we expect to win the play offs,we miss chances for fun and concede far too many goals.
-
No game for 20 days and 8 games in April and I know the club are probably not to blame for the new date, however still unbelievable.
-
4th it is,unless we mess that up as well, which would be very difficult and Saintsy at the same time.
-
The top 3 all win and are all lucky [ Allegedly ], have we got the balls to match them tomorrow ?
-
6 points from the next 2 home games is an obvious must. Probably as a pair of games they are more difficult than Hull and Millwall, however as we have been total rubbish in our last 3 home games including Huddersfield, would any Saints fan bet on 6 points. For the record I think they are both pretty average and we owe Sunderland for the hammering up there and great to see Clarke is out.
