  1. Eric Martin for me,a top keeper with a dreadful defence.
  2. The one certainty is that Vardy will score,we were awful against them last season and made them look like Brazil. Surely it cannot be allowed to happen again next week.
  3. Having just watched game on Sky - Match of the day,the effort was there, but had the ball dropped more kindly for Arsenal in our box,the game would have been over in 15 minutes. As for the tippy tappy at the back, what a total nonsense and we gifted them all the goals, the manager talks utter nonsense and god knows what game he is watching each week.
  4. I believe RM does his fair share for charitable causes, that makes him a decent man as far as I am concerned. I have to agree with the above assessment of his managerial abilities though, the worry is that we do not have any one at the club with any football nous and there fore when it eventually happens,we will end up with another manager way out of his depth at this level. The other point that has already been made,by others and myself,is who with any management skills would want to ruin their reputation by joining our shambles of a club.
  5. The owner was interviewed straight after the play off final and admitted he knew very little about football and continues to have his pants pulled down by the charlatans running the club,he also said that the club is a 10 year project. Bournemouth manage to get in a good manager and a good if elderly american owner and some decent players. What an utter shambles of a club we have become.
  6. We are making Sheffield Uniteds 16 point haul last season, seem a good effort. The manager,a decent human being, but a clueless manager, will be similar odds to Ten Hag to be first premier manager to go. Having seen the Ipswich goals, how do they get Delap and Clarke and we end up with BBD and CA. Bompey have recruited well,we have very little idea. The club has become a total joke from top to bottom, very, very sad.
  7. Well done Hants for an excellent championship season. Lets face it Surrey are the Manchester City of cricket, having the most money and the best squad of players and will be very difficult to get above in the championship. We need to keep one senior bowler on next year to lead the attack, will be interesting to see if we do that,or go for two new overseas players, hopefully Currie will come back ready to push on in all 3 formats.
  8. Unfortunately agree with the above 2 comments. Lose 3 -1,with a goal from Dibling.
  9. I do not dislike the manager as a human being, but am not in any way or form enamoured with his management skills. The one proviso is that I doubt there is one manager any where who can teach our woeful strike force how to hit the back of the net. Dibling as a very talented 18 year old cannot be expected to bail out 3 of the worst forwards to ever appear in the premier league.
  10. Let us hope that his parents are more interested in steady progress and not a large pay packet at this present moment in time, after all it would be very surprising if they do not have a say in his future. Hopefully his agent thinks the same way,but very much doubt it.
  11. Spot on saintant, I said the same thing a couple of weeks ago, that Mr Solak is having his pants pulled down by a load of chancers.
  12. As I and many others have said, the whole set up from top to bottom is not up to scratch . I can only presume some of the egotists running the club have been given far too much power, for their very ,very limited football knowledge. Not signing a forward giving us a chance of staying up is completely unforgiveable.
  13. Well played Nick Gubbins, great to have Mr Dependable LD at the other end.
  14. Very sad,a top player in his day.
  15. Guardiola would struggle to win a game with this lot of players. Mostly championship players,a poor coaching set up and an even worse selection of players brought in during the summer [ even allowing for the fact we cannot afford better players]. A total shambles of a club at present,it pains me to say. As alluded to in the above comment, why did we not try and sign a decent striker instead of part of Sheffield Uniteds premier league strike force for a pittance in premier league terms. 30 million might just buy a 12 goal a season player instead of two strikers who will be lucky to score 8 -10 goals between them.
  16. Lets be honest if we lose next week we are already nailed on for last place, what a sad indictment. We are a very poor side and the rubbish players we have wasted money on in the last few years is haunting us big time,as I have said before we are light years behind Brighton and the tinpot club down the M27.The fact we are likely to get a hammering 2 weeks on monday,is some thing too painful to think about, but a definite possibly the way they are playing. [ Very unlucky to lose tonight ]
  17. Terrific knock from Tom Prest.
  18. Seems like a top guy and is a top championship striker, but I am afraid that in the premier league a striker gets a small fraction of the chances that they get in the championship. There lies the problem with all our forwards.
  19. On paper anyway we might have got 4 points from 3 games, however we find ourselves in 19th place , being totally useless in both penalty boxes and looking certain to go straight back down. I actually feel very sorry for Mr Solak who has had his pants pulled down again by the incompetents running the club. Team selections and some of the signings are totally bizarre and yet again we do not have a goal scorer able to hit the back of the net enough times to give us a chance. A total and utter shambles,we are light years behind our southern neighbours down the M27 and A27,how the hell has this been allowed to happen? /
  20. I really hope Archer can score the goals that help keep us up,however 2 goals against Cardiff Reserves is hardly the right yardstick to hope this will be the case.
  21. Well said re Ian Holland Ron.
  22. Seeing how late we left the Biljow transfer we did not expect for it to fall through. Rather short sighted considering how many injuries the poor man had suffered so far in his career, we should have learnt our lesson with Ross Stewart and considered other goal keeping options before it got this far.
  23. When we buy 2 out of 3 of the Sheffield United front players do we really expect to score goals. Very worrying stats as well for the game.
  24. I suppose we will find that out when we play Ipswich, but personally think for the price he would have been a good signing.
  25. Very few crosses in our box on saturday, will be more of an acid test saturday playing against Chris Wood and two good wide players supplying the crosses.
