We have one of the better squads on paper, however a useless intransigent manager and a board with little or no footballing knowledge are running the club into the ground. We are fast running out of saleable assets and we are 11 points off the leaders after only 8 games. At this moment in time the club is totally screwed and as usual the people who really suffer are us fans,6 years ago we were the top team on the South coast now we are the 3/4 [ only the blue few below us and they could join us,or heaven forbid swap places with us at the end of the season ]. We are continually told that we thoroughly scout are players, so why is it half of them do not want to be here ? maybe not quite half but you get the drift. The club is in as big a mess as it has ever been, never thought it would unravel so quickly after relegation and are we likely to roll over a Rotherham side who drew against the leaders today and only lost to Leicester by a very late goal. Most players that leave here do well at other clubs,is that a coincidence ? Could get beyond toxic at home to Leeds, especially if Piroe gets on the score sheet. The worst thing is that it can and probably will get worse and us fans will keep suffering and in some cases will not be watching the team live for the foreseeable future. Sorry to be so full of gloom, but it really is getting that bad and finally how we will we ever have the money to get back to the promised land, 200 -250 million.

Terrific win, brilliant today from Dawson and Vince and a mention to Abbott,if only we had battled this hard in earlier championship defeats.
-
Well done to Tom Prest, hopefully the first of many championship centuries for Hampshire and well done to the side for showing a bit of backbone today as well.
-
Will be the first league win for Boro,at least it will please my cousin a life long fan.

We are obviously paying Ross Stewart a lot more money than he earnt at Sunderland, why else would he want to leave a much bigger club and a much better side to join this rabble. I hope he can make a difference, but he will have to create his own chances,as we create so few as a team.

Turgid football, woeful forwards, shambolic midfield [ Why did we not take the money for Smallbone,we could not give him away now ] and a dithering defence with no confidence at all. Finally a manager who is stubborn and out of his depth, if that is not a recipe for lower mid table mediocrity or even bottom 6, I do not know what is. Just glad I am far enough away,to not contemplate going to a game any time soon. What an utter shambles of a club and to top it off we will almost certainly hand Boro their first league win of the season on saturday.

1 - 3,no confidence at all in the manager setting us up properly, very sad really.

Whitey, your wife will know how much she is loved by her family and friends, that will be a great comfort to her. Take care.

At 117 for2 we were in control,at 141 for5 a few overs later we were not, that is the main reason we lost the game. Dawson and Weatherly had a big repair job which was needed and accomplished. To get so far and falter in the very last over is galling to say the least. In my opinion no blame whatsoever on Dawson he batted sensibly and magnificently.

What happened to the 68 percent each possession CB ? Do you think that you can answer that without your normal vitriol,or are you going to rip into an OAP ? As for your Rotherham comment what makes you think that we will beat them, they have one thing we do not - team spirit. No more posts left now. Anger management is always an option.

Please Hampshire, right the wrongs our woeful football club displayed against Leicestershires football side tonight.

The good thing about watching on Sky is that you can turn it off,as I did at half time. The way we defend, I doubt whether we will keep a clean sheet all season. The manager was a defender ffs,do they just play attack versus defenders who attack in training, never ever seen a worse defence in 60 years. Cannot see RM and JW being here much longer. Very, very disillusioned and worried where we might be at the end of the season, what a total and utter shambles of a club. As an aside there must be a manager some where who can set us up defensively to be solid with the players we have, Harewood Bellis was arguably the best centre half in the championship last year under Kompany.

Good win against Somerset, will be interesting to see team for 50 over final, probably the semi final team again.
-
THB has one helluva job trying to help organize and play in our defence, good luck to the man,he certainly needs it. Conceding 12 goals in 5 championship games is a total disgrace and we have not played one of the better sides yet. Difficult to see a top 6 finish at present, needs urgently sorting, perhaps Winning tackles and cutting out zonal marking would be a start.

Where did I say we should sign Clarke and for the record I meant 20 goals in around 35 games, if he is fit to play in october and as good as some of you think he is going to be.
-
As I said, I would love to be proved wrong, I have always liked Sunderland and watched their games on tv,to me Stewart is not the quickest and is basically unproven at this level level [ 10 in 12 last season ] if he doubles that here, I will hold my hands up. As for their best player, how about Jack Clarke, who they refuse to sell. Bellis Harewood would be an amazing signing.
-
Love to be proved wrong, but totally under whelmed by this signing ,not too enamoured with the potential signing of Roberts either.
-
Looking like Leicestershire in final,we owe them for our one defeat in the competition. We will certainly be up for it,well done today Hants for such a commanding win.

Went in 2006 when Leon Crouch chartered a plane for Saints fans. We were just on on way out of ground when Bale equalised in a 1 - 1 draw. I was back indoors at 20.40 pm and the plane only left Newcastle airport at 19.00.

Be fantastic if we can win at Edgbaston and beat Warwickshire and get revenge for that humiliating innings defeat at home earlier in the season
-
If he can stay fit he could be a big asset, only slight downside he could keep one of the promising youngsters out of the side,as has already been alluded to. Generally good though.
-
Thanks very much for the explanation WC,much appreciated. Andy Watson. Still think it is total bollocks and let us hope that it is not needed in any shape or form versus Worcestershire.

Great win, delighted for Nye Donald. I understand figures, but for the life of me,do not understand Duckworth Lewis. Could someone on here please explain to me how Hampshires net run rate went down from 1.171 to 1.048 when they won the game ? Surely it should of gone up by a miniscule at least with a win.

Perhaps we could put in an offer for Sinclair Gregory,he ran Ipswich ragged for an hour yesterday.

Winning the group and eliminating Kent would be fantastic Mark. Might be easier said than done though, lets keep our fingers crossed.
