Boring

Uninspiring game. Too slow getting it forward. Thought we’d limp on to win 1-0 today, which we could put down to “still getting the win even when the performance is poor” but Mara for Che and it all went downhill. Che’s contribution was good enough and was holding the ball up well right up until being taken off. It felt like a bad change at the time.. but it always feels that way when Mara comes on. This one is down to RM’s choices - Not Bazunu or Bednarek cock-ups, they both made significant contributions during the game that kept us in it. We just don’t score enough to play Russball.

Great performance. Would have liked to see AA get his hatrick. The individual errors have been virtually eliminated. Enjoyable to watch. Well done Saints. Well done RM.

Great first half, football was high tempo and good to watch. Second half started sluggish. Sucker punched and thought here we go again. Didn’t really get back into it until the dying moments but this Saints side are starting to show some real grit towards the end of games. Didn’t agree with Sulemana coming off at the time, really wanted him to get his goal. Overall, an enjoyable watch. Well done again Saints & RM. We dream on!

Happy to get a point after a terrible 2nd half. What RM says to them at half time I don’t know. They came out a different team. Subs were back to RM’s usual standard. Bree is a shit left back. Che Adams was garbage again. Mara is a waste of skin. I hope Ross is all he’s hyped up to be so I don’t have to see those two up front for us again. Another two points dropped against play-off rivals. All a bit too predictable.

Credit where credit’s due, good pressure from Saints at the end and generally a better performance from what I could see from my shocking stream. Great win. Martin got the subs correct too today imo. Well done saints. We soldier on!

The way I see it is you’ve got to look at the present situation like bathtime. The water’s been turning luke warm. You don’t empty all the luke warm water out ..and then turn the hot tap on do you? Which is what seems to be happening at the moment with the transition of style. Out with the old and in with the new. You’d be better off adding some hot to the luke warm and get comfortable again before proceeding to get the water piping hot. Does anyone really buy into this? Be patient.. just a couple more years.. We’ll still be a mid table championship side. No-one will want to play for us due to the dreary “win one week, lose the next two or three” football and RM will be off - with another mid table failure and another couple of mill in the bank. Happy with that result. Missed the first half so am presuming they played significantly better than the second half performance I did see. A mild improvement on recent games but thought Leeds looked well off the pace. Hopefully this is a turning point. We dream on.

Another mistake at the back costing us a goal. “Be brave” fuck off! Hanging on to the ball too long, too many pointless passes at the back, and being hit on the counter are all the result of Martin’s “Be brave” tactics. The football is boring to watch. When we do get over the half way line there is no-one who can finish which results in a counter attack where our defenders are nowhere to be seen. Ankersen is a charlatan that got lucky once with Thomas Frank. Martin is clueless and out of his depth. We are in trouble.. again!
