Well done Russ. Got it spot on again today. Leeds didn’t give us the chance to play our usual over-passing game and we looked better for it. Maybe this is the type of football we’ll have to play in the prem and I’d be happy with that. If RM can adapt Russball to suit the Premier League, I’m happy with him at the helm. If he reverts back to over-playing at the back, we’ll pay the price. Good luck in the prem RM. No-one can say you haven’t earned your chance. Had to watch it in my phone at my nippers presentation night. From what I could see, looked totally dominant first half. Missed the first goal but we looked a little less in control second half but still the better side. Looked like the performance we needed. Let’s hope for more of the same in the final! Need a positive team selection from RM. Expecting a fast start to this one. Lots of energy, moving the ball about quickly with some incisive passing through the midfield, topped off with some superbly executed finishing. …Hopefully Saints will get back into it second half. 😂

I don’t see control or dominance though. I see a team that dicks around with the ball for too long in dangerous areas and gets itself in trouble far too often. I get the concept but it’s flawed. You need Sheik Yamoolah’s cash to buy the type of players capable of playing well this way.. especially in the Prem. I don’t know what the answer is but this style of play will make for a pretty miserable season next year if we do get promoted. I don’t foresee many wins against far better opponents.

Leave KWP in his best position FFS and just fix the left back position without dismantling the whole back line. Brookes and Rothwell are just shit full stop. They can go. Smallbone doesn’t improve the midfield. Edozie is all fart no follow through. Adam’s is a dead weight. AA is wasted on the wing, Frazer should be there. Too sloppy, too many individual errors. No game plan to face the best team in the league. Not good enough. Other than that, RM says we played well. DICK!
