Just to put the cherry on top of a shite season.. we will win this game and lose the next allowing Spurs and Liverpool to stroll into Europe. Our season is done so hopefully our remaining games can screw one of those two up. I would be happy to lose this one and turn up with a surprise win against Liverpool.

1. Club ethos. Buy young prospects to sell them when they’re eventually good enough.. if that ever happens. What’s the point? 2. Youth development. Done nothing in the last decade to enhance the first team. Waste of money. 3. Half our players are shit and bulk buying below par benchwarmers so we have nothing else offer to change a game when our first 11 have been crap. There have been lots of individual decisions that have cost this club its Premier League status but it’s been coming for a very long time. I’m not surprised and I’m not that bothered now either. I still want us to win all our remaining games and stay in the PL but resigned to the fact we won’t.

Forster is shite! Stats don’t lie apparently and we put 3 past him. I would much rather have Baz in goal. Forster takes a week to hit the deck and plays with his boots nailed to the goal line. Saying that, Spurs did take Forster and Gazziniga off our hands.. maybe Baz knows that if he plays shit for us, Spuds might come knocking!?

To be fair, when your team plays most of the game in their own half, lose the ball when trying to play out and are generally inferior to their opposition, it’s not going to make your stats look good is it? I know he’s not great but I don’t think he’s solely to blame for our predicament.

I don’t mind Baz. I think he does alright. He makes less mistakes than Forster and McCarthy before him and at least he comes off his line unlike his predecessors. Sure we’d all love another Shilts or Niemi but why would a decent keeper come to us in our current state? Our whole team has been in decline for years. Think he gets far more stick than he deserves.

Perraud is a better left back than Maitland-Niles is a right back. So by sticking KWP at left back, we are diminishing our right sided defence and right sided attack in one hit. KWP can’t cross from the left so it’s screwing our left sided attack too. This seems blindingly obvious to me so I must be missing something. ABK, KWP, JWP, Lavia & Tino would stay as first team if it was down to me. Alcaraz at a push. The rest simply aren’t good enough to get us promoted next season.
