Anyone else feel that this could be a pivotal moment in our season?? After exceeding expectations for so long, two away defeats at tough grounds, this is the kind of game which will show just what we're really all about and have the nous, management skills and calibre of player to deliver??
-
Is Osvaldo coming on purely tactical or has JWP picked up a knock?
-
Hardly surprising given how much this bloody ref is giving them.....
-
is the draw tonight?? anyone know??
-
He did, hung himself in a lock-up in Shoreditch....was apparently scared that a warrant had been issued for his arrest for sexual assault of a minor in the US....turns out there wasn't one and his fears were unfounded....Clough's description of their situation in his book was very interesting....he really regretted his treatment of Fashanu but admitted he had no idea of how to handle him....
-
very very poor today and lucky to only be 0-1....offered no threat and no plan B....really disppointing....

Capital One Cup 3rd Round Draw - Home to Bristol City
Viking Saint replied to lickierambert's topic in The Saints
I find some attitudes strange on here....this is a competition that the 'bigger' clubs don't prioritise, so it's one we should be targeting...day at Wembley and European football anyone??? I'd like the easiest possible draw at home please, all the way to the final, just like 2003 where we had the luck of the draw.... -
Reading 5-0 down......
-
don't want to tempt fate, but does anyone know when the draw is for the next round??
-
Given the fiscal prudence that NC has ruthlessly displayed throughout his time here, I'm not in the slightest bit concerned whatsoever...given his financial background, I bet he can account for every penny the club spends....yes, we've spent a bit of money especially for us but its still a **** in the ocean compared to the money that's been thrown around the Premiership in recent years....time to buckle up and enjoy the ride....it's great to be a Saint

my stream froze momentarily just as SRL was stepping up....luckily it came back on immediately after a few rude words!! VW MotM for me....his ball control had been questioned on here before but everytime he had the ball, the WBA players just seemed to bounce off him....I thought the ref was poor though, some ****e decisions....Ramirez didn't do much when he came on but right now I'm high as a kite!!
-
fantastic start...deserved that...looked very good in patches....great save from Boruc to save the 3 points though....bloody great feeling, away win on opening day, COYR!!!!

am struggling to get anything up and running....anybody else having any luck??

we are safe....Wigan's last game is against Villa, so even if Wigan win that and beat Arsenal, Villa will still be below us.....we cannot go down
-
I feel it's a double edged sword....on one hand, it's a great sign that our players are performing so well, but the flip side is that if they're not playing for England, fewer games, less chance of injury and in the shop window less so less chance of them gettin bought by bigger clubs....I honestly believe we're on the verge of something big starting to happen...these are better days
-
don't knock it....am more than happy for our players to remain under the radar and out of the spotlight....less chance of injury or their getting poached by someone else....
-
no thanks, don't want them getting injured!!! (although Clyne has already been picked for the U21s)
