"Liverpool are anticipated to get rid of strikers Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert in the summer"........was it really worth leaving Rickie??? http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/jay-rodriguez-transfer-news-manchester-city-liverpool-and-tottenham-consider-january-move-despite-cruciate-ligament-injury-9969697.html

Didn't do anything wrong today.....has a very upright/chest-out running style and perhaps not the quickest but didn't get gassed by anyone today and looked strong in the air

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 1-1 Ipswich Town
Viking Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Ipswich shut up shop in the second half and packed the defence....don't recall them having a single shot in the second half.....everyone seemed scared to have a shot on goal but Wanyama was immense today, nothing got past him.... -
I think the pay rise was fairly substantial, but I always felt it was an odd move. It would be his last major move at his age and let's be fair, he was never going to be their main front man. Not much room for sentimentality in modern PL football so the chance to set his family up must have been the driving force. Also noticeable that no one on here has so far suggested he come back to us on loan as an alternative to Pellè.......

agree with all these but think you could add Davis to this list....Mane and Tadic have had patches of brilliance but need greater consistency......nice position to be in!
-
Or Merson's 'Arsenal to win 2-1' prediction......

COYR, lets get 2015 off to a good start....

Enjoyable read mate.....keep at it!
-
Agree....he's physically strong and sizable unit who by standing his ground looks like he's fouling opponents. He got absolutely nothing off the ref today go the extent he couldn't compete for anything.....
-
Good call.....the Everton and Burnley games are a case in point, both proving to be the opposite of what was expected. I do feel we can beat anyone in this league, though Chelsea and City are perhaps a step up too far, making yesterdays point even more impressive....
-
TA good enough to play RB for Belgium.....the formation is of more interest, can we realistically play 352 without Clyne offering the pace to play as a wingback??
-
Think this is a bit harsh on Gardos.....he's had limited game time but hasn't looked out of place when I've seen him play, and he looked solid enough today.....anyone disagree??
-
This.....he played as well as he could against world class players....would it have been better to have TA at RB and had Yoshida or Gardos starting at CB? tbh, I'm very happy with a point today...
-
Great point...feels like a win....sat in a pub in Newquay surrounded by Chelsea fans....incredibly brave defence today....last season I think we'd have caved in so huge credit to hang on there....Chelsea are a different class and have so many world-class players who can win a game by themselves, so a point against them is massive....thought the back four were outstanding and Gardos looked.solid when he came on, TA good but pulled out of making a block for the goal....MS took one for the team, fair play.....feel for Pèlle, no matter what he does he gets nothing from referees....today's ref was clearly intimidated by Chelsea and gave them everything, ****poor performance from him. Bit worried about lack of chances created by we shouldn't fear anyone in this league....#wemarchon

Could've really done with seeing that out till halftime....apart.from the goal, we haven't really looked like scoring....would happily take a point now.....then again, would've taken that before the game as well...given that they're targetting Maya, is there mileage in swapping him and TA?? COYR!!!

Schneiderlin very quiet so far....

Every 50-50 going their way...**** reffing

Well-chuffed with three points today....was worried there might be a repeat of Burnley but having players available again makes a world of difference.....Happy Christmas everyone, COYR!!!! -
Would it make any difference whatsoever?!?!
