What worries me is that a good manager assesses what he's got and implements a system based on the players at his disposal. We seem to persist with recruiting managers who have a set way of playing and then throw players under the bus when they can't adapt to 'their' system. Plus once their system becomes known, other more adept managers change tactics to outplay them.

As alluded to, it only be a preseason friendly but they're a Turkish Division 2 side and we look no better than last season. Offer next to nothing going forwards and so many players with a guaranteed fuck up in the locker. What the hell have they been 'working on' in training because this is like a continuation of last season, all fart and no shit

It feels like another Jones-style appointment and I'm struggling as to how the club, after that farcical shitshow, seem to be repeating history. Jones at least had had some vague form of success. There is nothing in this guy's CV which hints that he has what it takes to get us back up.
