Reform MP: Shame the French didn't defend sovereignty in 1940 As we've reported in the last hour, the French government has hit back at Reform UK's plan to deploy the Royal Navy in the Channel to pick up small migrants and deposit them back on French soil - whether or not the French agree to allow British military personnel in their territorial waters. An interior ministry spokesperson said it would be "a violation of French sovereignty as well as a violation of maritime law and international law". A Reform MP has now responded to the French government's statement by bringing up what is likely a sore point - the start of the Second World War. Sarah Pochin wrote on X: "Pity the French did not show the same resolve in defending their sovereignty in June 1940." The word cunt is not strong enough to describe this vile excuse for a human. Reform UK's deputy leader Richard Tice Lice under investigation by parliamentary standards watchdog Richard Tice, the Reform UK MP for Boston and Skegness, is being investigated by parliamentary authorities for failing to declare an interest. The probe was confirmed this morning by the parliamentary commissioner for standards. According to the commissioner's website, the investigation was opened on 28 July, last Tuesday. Tice says the investigation relates to not declaring an interest when talking about Israel in a Westminster Hall debate.
