  1. I don't agree with your OP and the obvious TROLLing going on, but I have to admit that made me laugh... Sorry HS, I'm sure it is a total misrepresentation, my sister is Canadian and not too boring at all!
  2. Now that's a thread title you just had to click on!
  3. Only saints fans...
  4. Thomas almost lost his driving licence a few weeks back having run up 12 points, he was allowed to keep it for family reasons, but he also said in the paper that his contract was up in January and he may be having to move up North - his Wife and Child live near Christchurch at the moment and I think they were planning to stay.
  5. I did that against QPR in the Milk Cup, at half time they were throwing the cartons in and I just lobbed one back again. Next thing I know I had the long arm of the law grab me by the shoulder and drag me off to the temporary police station outside the dell, some kind of portakabin as I recall. I was then of an age when I thought I was clever (not like now) and when the copper asked for my surname I said "Keegan" - he wrote it down, although his colleague gave me an shifty look. It wasn't until they asked me for my first name and I said "Kevin" that he tore up his sheet! Unfortunately, they kept me in for the rest of the game to 'ensure' I gave them the right details next time!
  6. He wasn't training with the first team so asked the club if he could go back to Poland for Christmas. He is not part of the clubs plans and doesn't want to stay anyway. Would have gone to Notts County at the beginning of the season as player/coach but clubs couldn't agree a fee. May be off abroad this transfer window
  7. According to the 1st team player who lives next door to my mate (is that too tenuous?) Pardew will have money to spend in January and is primarily looking for another striker. Another strange thing he said is that the team have two Christmas do's - one of them is next week which is for WAGs etc.. and one is in Feb/March - a no-partners do. Apparently last year they went to Dublin for the weekend and just drank for 48 hrs - personally I can't see how they get away with that and wouldn't be too impressed if we are pushing for play-offs next Feb/Mar and do the same kind of thing. Anyway, usual disclaimer, this is all second hand but I do believe it to be true.
  8. Waigo - as much as I love him - is not premiership material, doubtful about Antonio too, as for Harding....sorry but he gets skinned too much for my liking in this division
  9. I think PNE did give permission for Trotman to play in the cup
  10. I think at the beginning of the season, most people were expecting a season of consolidation and a push for promotion next season. It's a long term strategy and still is. It was a poor effort today, but we knew it was going to happen eventually. The next game is not a massive/must win/season decider. We will not be relegated, I hope to finish in the top ten, next season I would expect a minimum of a top 6 finish.... But I guess Leeds did after their first season!!!
  11. I understand that Bart is happy here and has no plans to leave at the moment. His missus is pregnant and they like the area. Yes I am ITK - at last.....WOO-HOO!
  12. I dont think Orient are the first to think they have discovered our weakness. The game against Bristol Rovers turned when they brought on their sub in the 2nd half who murdered Harding on the left almost immediately. Other managers have said that we will always concede or that our weakness is on the wings or hit us with speed down the middle - take your pick! Our lack of clean sheets seems to suggest that we are adopting the "we're gonna score more than you" policy. I'm not sure if this is AP's thinking, but it makes for entertaining games!
  13. I would just like to say that your avatar is wrong in so many ways, please consider changing it. Thank you.
  14. Brings back brilliant memories of the FA cup game, 1984 I think.... Jordan, Moran 2-0 Saints, fantastic day out!
  15. I feel I am reasonably well educated and certainly don't swear in front of anyone if I can help it.... outside the football ground. However, when I'm really 'into' the game and the referee makes - what I believe to be - a horrendous mistake (which, let's face it, is pretty much every game in this league), I give him incredible verbal abuse, using language I would be ashamed of ... outside the ground. And yes, there may be women and/or children nearby, but I don't know - as I am fully concentrating on the game at the time. I'm not proud of it, I just can't help it - call it too much passion!
  16. I cant get too excited about this signing. Players never seem to come back well after long term injuries (Killer being a prime example) although I'm sure someone will quote the complete opposite. Hope to be proved wrong but I'm not pinning my hopes on this one...just yet!
  17. Impressive list of friends, Stan Collymore plus a few other 'celebs' ... Or are they fake as well ??? I don't really get facebook :-(
  18. Nice to see us on BBC current standings with positive points!!
  19. let's take this into half time please!!
  20. Minor point really, but I'm sure Lamberts header crossed the line. I was in the itchen at the chapel side and had a pretty good view. I'm sure I saw the ball bounce down over the line.
  21. Well Bart won't be in the squad as he has gone to Barnsley on a months loan, thought I'd mention it as I hadn't seen it anywhere else
  22. Almost feels like a win - should be a good vibe in the dressing room, so hopefully build on that for Tuesday!
  23. It's people like you who make me stare at the screen for several minutes trying to understand what you are on - TBF not just you but anyone who (at the risk of repeating several other posters) think all is lost after a fistful of games when we have had to suffer the utter shambolic last 12 months. ML and his people have stated that is is going to take a long time before we can consider the ship to be turned. 5 year plan, just keep thinking that. We will not be relegated this season, I am convinced of it. Next season is the time to start making judgements, or at least wait until after Christmas (gah - now I'm doing it). No doubt the ridiculous "Happy-Clapper" phrase will be used as it is for anyone who is in the slightest bit optimistic on this forum. Going back to staring at my screen in bewilderment now.
  24. Is there someone else who can take corners? Lallana was hopeless today, ever corner was floated in and either picked out of the air by the keeper or headed away by a defender who had all the time in the world. Same thing every time.
  25. Solent update after nik kershaw and the riddle... I've always hated that song
