James, Lancashire, Wotton and Patterson all starting - no wonder we lost. None are good enough to be playing each week in this league, Wotton's just generally not very good, and the others need to be elsewhere to learn the game. Can forgive Patterson for being played out of position, but after seeing him on the wing against Ajax where he didnt have a clue, it was never going to be good playing him there last night. James is overated and everyone know's Lancashire should be emergency use only.

We better not miss out on Jaidi. If he stayed fit, he'd be a force for us. If Lancashire is in the first team this season we're going to be struggling. Ideally need 2 new centre backs as Perry is small and ancient and Thomas is constantly injured, with Lancashire not good enough yet. Need at least 2 signings by Sat, the other position needed is either wide midfield (right side) and striker (if Saga or Rasiak go).

Gobern looks potentially like a good player. How old is he? Could definately be good for us this season and the next few. Please stay fit Holmes - looked really good at the beginning of last season when we were playing well.

Murty STILL hasnt signed from what I know (one of the longest trials ever?) and Thomson and Patterson are largely unproven, so i'm not massively happy with that team tbh. If we could sign up Murty and get another centre back in as first choice, then the defence looks very solid, the midfield is very young but no doubt keen, and Rasiak will obviously be one of the best in this division but there's large question marks over whether he'll be here.

Fair play getting in Wilkins. Seemed like he was doing well with Brighton. Would be especially useful if he can use some of his links... Bring in Virgo - plays centre back and striker - our two most desperately needed positions!! Going a bit off topic - what happened to the days of players who played both - Dion Dublin and Chris Sutton(?) I seem to remember played both? Have Saints had anyone the last few years who's filled that role?

Please no! I suppose if we keep Rasiak then that's alright, but if we get rid of both we're screwed again, no way Patterson and White are going to get us enough goals (assuming hit or miss Saga is off too)
