  1. This is it. The current shape of things. Why is Perraud so far infield? Why doesn't Moi cover. We have all the possession and look tidy but dont threaten. Now concede and will really struggle for a shot on target, let alone the 2 goals we now need. Bollocks. I just dont get how and why Moi keeps his place. Every manager; yet we all see it have have seen it for years. He offers nothing other than some tracking back (sometimes) off the ball.
  2. Janny B in that number How Diallo can we go? I wanna Bree in that number Saints in the Lyancionship Buy your Elyonnoussison Tickets We're in the Bella-Kotchampionship ... Ok, i'm out
  3. Please explain what, in particular, he does wrong here? Whilst we might question Moi or Diallo, Saints had a ridiculous amount of possession, crossing opportunities, possession in the final third. What did Selles fail to do?
  4. When do we get to vote for player of the season btw?
  5. Our crossing. It really is so bad. We jusy havent created anything despite all the possession etc. Like another poster commented. Not sure what else Selles can do when its the quality of individual players that is so poor
  6. Walcott has been playing well. Give me him over Moi any day
  7. Diallo, wins a free header which he pumps forward to nobody then fouls the player who picks it up. Gives away possession, turn over in play and attacking opportunity dead. This fucking guy

  9. We can talk all night about poor finishing etc. but, for me, Selles has found the formula to give this one more crack. Walcott offered an intelligence that we have been lacking, and with Alcaraz and Sulemana was creating movement and space even before the sending off. Prowsie and Lavia well established and the back four look settled. If we can get four points from Brentford and Bournemouth (obvs we go for 6) it can change everything
  10. I, too, would have claimed that at the other end. Lucky to get away with no VAR there

  12. This is the shit that will kill us. Bournemouth getting three points v Liverpool after last weekend is just crazy. Now we need something from a top top utd team (last weekend aside) to even stay in touch. We just dont have the fixtures, ability or time.
  13. JWP, Stewie and KWP. Other than that, this lot can get in the bin.
  14. Just home from the game. Just watching Mara and AA in particular was painful. 13million Mara jogging about, trying cute little touches. It was hard to watch. Orsic, what a disappointment this guy has been. Non-existent. As other have said, JWP, KWP and Walcott only one who come out with any credit at all - but in context. You’d surely expect them to. TJ made a fair and worrying point on the radio after the game. Who do we have in the squad who is equipped for championship football? It’s fast, it’s physical, and at times it’s nasty football. Who do we have in there to work with. I think we will not only go down, but I think we will really struggle in the championship
  15. Can I just throw in my two pence worth here? Without giving too much of myself away, I hold an academic role at a university and any notion that books are being 'black listed' is utter nonsense and, I would suggest, a grotesque reframing of a very simply and well-considered scheme (most likely to prompt an adverse response towards universities from the general public - this has an ideological and political function), as follows: Some texts (such as the aforementioned Whitehead, Novel) include graphic depictions of suicide. Accordingly some (few) universities are choosing to include trigger warnings on the covers of these books so that students will be aware, prior to reading, that there is content within that could speak to past traumas/experiences. This may also be true to racialised language and or sexual assault/rape. Nothing is being 'censored', by definition. As to the comment that universities are somehow left-wing institutions, you only need to look at the marketisation of the HE sector and how many research/academic jobs have become akin to the gig economy. This is not serving an ideological function but, rather, is a natural result of opening up universities to the forces of the free market. So many now focus mainly on maximising outcomes in order to maintain positions in league tables and, accordingly, look to increase workloads whilst decreasing pay/employment rights. This is why many in HE maintain strike action. However, most of the colleagues I know would align themselves with the political left not because of some objective political identity but, simply, having spent their professional careers studying the intrinsic impact of social policy, recognise how damaging conservative politics and neoliberal economic policies are to most in the country.
  16. the most telling factor in all of this is as follows: if we take away Prowsie's goals, we would not have won a premier league game since the 19th October. The only reason we are not embarrassingly adrift is because of JWP
  17. Was a shitty goal to concede but - lets imagine a world in which Bazunu saves it... now what. Same problem, shitty performance, no real chances on goal, significantly outplayed by 19th place Leeds Utd. We can talk about Bazunu/Bednarek all day -makes no real difference when the issues are this big
  18. Just watching Adam Armstrong and Theo Walcott chasing leeds defenders around. It's just desperate
  19. Looked a penalty to me - would have been raging if that was the other way round
  20. We're 3 on 3 and end up back with the keeper - fuck sake
  21. I will say that I think they are climbing all over the back of Tall Paul and getting given nothing
  22. Gotta say, man for man we just look terrible. decision making, passing, weak challenges and effort. Poor reading of play. Just terrible
  23. Was just thinking the same thing. Was his greatest asset in the first part of the season. Looks slow
