Interesting !!!! I was on a annual subscription which came to an end last week (25th Sept). When I logon on to see the Swansea highlights it said my subscription had not been renewed. I checked my Bank Account and there was a DD setup but NO money had been taken. I sent an email to player.services@Football-League.co.uk and received the following reply I then sent an email to Customer Services at Saints and received the following reply (the bold bits are mine) My guess is that Saints are going to bring video highlights "In House" at the end of the season ?? but I might be wrong.

Same Linesmen :- us v Manure : S Beck & J Collin NLY v Man City : S Beck & J Collin. So the linesman who missed a clear offside by mata was not dropped from the PL list but allowed to make further mistakes the following week.

In case anyone missed this. NEW RULES for signing non-EU players come into force today. We have had a number of problems over the years getting work permits. As of today http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12040/9830536/fas-new-rules-on-work-permits-will-make-it-harder-for-non-eu-players-to-come-to-uk

Who was that prat of a journo who was making a fool of himself by asking the same question over and over again ? Somebody must know his name and which media organisation he was reporting to ?

No wonder everybody thinks this Premier League are a bunch of clowns when they cannot even get the MONTH correct (?! September ?!) http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/features/goal-accreditations-for-2014-15.html

Interesting that the article says that on May 26 he said he was not going to Spurs Yet there was that twitter picture of him at Spurs training ground 3 days before (May 23rd) Surely he (and his agent) must have known that picture was doing the rounds.

If you are trying to spread a rumour what about trying this one:- "Southampton lawyers are currently drafting a legally binding "24 month NO Poaching" contract which Spurs will have to sign before they can approach Pochettino, meaning that no Saints' player can following him to whl for 2 seasons. This is been done because of broken verbal promises when Hoddle moved there in 2001 and returned for Dean Richards a few months later when his career at Spurs started poorly" I would expect that one paper would pick up on that one and imo more Spurs fans will question approaching him - No JayRod, Adam, Luke etc.

Here are some videos from the end of season walk yesterday. (1) Chapel End with Luke inviting a couple of friends/relatives ?? onto the pitch. (2 & 3) Songs from the Northam End - sorry too far away to get any pictures but the sound is ok apart from the Club playing music over the tannoy at the Chapel End !?!) (OWTSGMI + Guly + Jose + Pochettino) (Pochettino + Luke + Adam) -
I gave my views a couple of days ago http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?50119-Breaking-news-Liverpool-want-to-sign-Adam&p=1933438#post1933438 I still think it is (e), remember it is somebody "close to him" not "him". imo it is all part of the "ZERO out" versus "6 + MoPo out" issue going on, remember Jack words the other week about "the players ALL talk and ALL want to stay and play here". (By the way the "6 + MoPo" out route (imo) EQUALS relegation EQUALS Kat's asset (current value 120-200m) becomes greatly reduced)

I assume you are referring to the comments from Adam Blackmore a few weeks ago :- The question is WHY, what are his motives ? (Talk Drivel, certain parts of the London media and that Crook bloke were certainly taken in last time)................... Is he ? :-(a) a bitter man ? (b) out of the goodness of his heart he is trying to warn the fans what the new board are up to? © he is trying to cause unrest to lower any takeover price and get an offer accepted ? (d) he is trying to spoil any Shirt sponsorship deal because a new deal will make the existing one look very poor? (e) (my favourite) as he is no longer at the club the players are using him to provoke a answer from Ralph & Co as to the direction of the club (they tried the Echo stories and that didn't work) ?

Am i the only one who thinks the club badge is naff?
Saint_John replied to OldNick's topic in The Saints
Here is somebody else who doesn't like our Club Badge ..... ..https://twitter.com/Sporting_Appts/status/463684422546386944/photo/1 ... Sporting Appointments has 19 Club badges missing 1 ....It must be a skate because he has got "t" before "s" as well. -
My reading of the situation (correct me if you know differently) is that - we are due to get £82m in PL payments which will be paid in instalments starting in August. - we purchased a number of players in previous seasons on a 50% and 50% in 12 months time or 50% now and 25% in each of the next 2 seasons etc. - because we were new to the PL we had to get "up and running early" and made a number of purchases early in the Transfer Windows e.g. Dejan was purchased on 14 June. - therefore we now have to make 2nd & 3rd payments on certain players BEFORE the PL £82m arrives. - this season we have brought forward the Season Ticket sales which should raise something like 20k x £500 (average) = £10m in the bank by June 1st. - I fully expect us to have money available from the £82m for the purchase of other players but that will be LATE in the transfer window - so imo NO REAL PROBLEM it is just a matter of structuring the outgoing and incoming correctly. - imo the words "Financial Difficulties" were just a POINT SCORING EXERCISE against Nicola. Our Debt is very small if you compare it to (figures from 2013) :- Arsenal - £98m Villa - £122m Everton - £46m Liverpool - £87m Man Utd - £366m Newcastle - £129m Spurs - £70m http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/apr/18/premier-league-finances-club-by-club

(1) This article compares the money for winning the FA Cup (total ONLY £3.3m - losers get ONLY £1.6m) with Premier League money (£2.6m difference between 8th & 9th).. http://eyesinthecorner.wordpress.com/2014/01/03/fa-cup-vs-premier-league-prize-money/ (2) I think I read somewhere (correct me if I am wrong) that the payments from the PL are paid in instalments starting in August therefore most transfer deals are late in the window.

And last week they were sure 80k a week and £27m was enough to get him.... This week it is 100k + £30m, what will it be next week ?
-
The press want us to sell our best players..... We are REFUSING..... The current board have not shown the STRONG leadership we used to have...... Other Clubs see that as weakness and are trying to exploit the vacuum by "leaking stories to the press"........ I expect LOTS more negative stories until Ralph sits down with Pochettino and gets him to signs a contract...... the players who rate Pochettino very highly will then agree to stay............... Over to you Ralph.

I looked back over the years at some of the prices I paid for my Season Ticket. Notes 1/ Some of those prices are Early Bird prices and 2/ while we were in CC & L1 my Chapel seat was classified as "Family"). So in 10 years my ST for PL Football has risen 32% which is less than inflation I believe.

There is an argument that the ball should be played at pace in the gap between GK and the defenders without looking, to invite the forwards to gamble. However we don't seem to do that, our forwards are usually stationary and therefore the crosser has to look up and try to pick out the perfectly weighted cross for the forward. In packed defences this often gives the defenders the "time" they need to either block the cross or get enough numbers around the forward to block any goal attempt. Against non-packed defences it is probably the right thing to do. The downside could be that all the forwards go to the far post and the ball goes near or vice versa, (and the crowd all moan). But equally you open up the chance of a defender doing what Brown did for sunderland yesterday. I sometimes think our Football is "too pure" and we just have to put the ball in the danger area before the opposition defenders are ready.

I believe yesterday joke offside "goal" was missed by Mick McDonough. Now he is a linesman/local referee from Newcastle area, (Denton Burn, 4 miles west of Newcastle). He does a number of games with his fellow Official from that area, namely Mark Clattenburg, and they only live 4.3 miles apart (Denton Burn to Gosforth). i.e. they did the Liverpool v Cardiff League Cup final at Wembley together http://www.football-league.co.uk/capitalonecup/news/20120201/clattenburg-to-oversee-carling-cup-final_2293330_2597351 and they were also together for the "Race Row" game at Chelsea in 2012. I wonder how close they are as friends ?

I think the biggest difference has been the change in tactics from the OPPOSITION and nothing we have changed. In the early part of the season the teams we played against all tried to "play through our midfield", the prime example being diverpool where we limited them to 5 attempts on goal in 90mins. The change for me came at chelski where we were winning 1-0 at h/t and THEY changed their tactics to bypass the midfield and play a more route one game. They played the ball over our defenders and turned them around. Those tactics were noted by other teams and now we get situation like spurs the other week were we controlled the midfield in the 1st half but they changed in the 2nd to hit more balls over our fullbacks and attempt to press us back. The sides with good individuals can make those tactics work against us, but the teams down the bottom cannot which is why we get games against the bottom sides were we have 75% of the ball and they only have 1 or 2 attempts on target while the top sides have individuals who can play the 40 yard pass while being subject to "the pochettino press" and individuals at the end of the pass who can receive the ball and exploit the 1 on 1 situations

How many remember the Cheats using a Clients Account at Fuglers LLP as a Bank Account when their Bank Account was frozen as part of Admin1. Well it appears that Fuglers were fined for doing that on 7th January 2014 :- + £56,250 costs (£60k minus Jacob's Costs) This was never reported, however Fuglers appealed the fines imposed by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority to the High Court on the 29th January. Here is the listing which does give some background information. I wonder if the £10m paid out had any effect on the cva vote ? i.e. did they pay those who were likely to vote against a cva ?? http://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWHC/Admin/2014/179.html

Remember David Lampitt, well he is giving this Seminar about ...... (wait for it) ....Financial Fair Play !? The sound is poor so it hard to hear every word however he does mention being in charge of the Cheats at 1:55 and he talks more about them at 51:00 to 57:00 but I cannot be bothered to listen to all 1:30:34 of it. I didn't hear him mention buying Kitson , Lawrence and a few others and putting them on big wages after the 1st Admin and the loan/gift (was £10m ??) from the East European Pension Fund/Bank (I think he said something like getting within 800k for balancing the books).

That is what I have heard as well....... Today's story was brought to us by Dean Jones from the Sunday People/Mirror and earlier this year he did a Q&A session with Football Writers Association where he said I think I know who he supports
