  1. More importantly, Alfie House has a lot to lose by sharing that insight. The culprits must go at any cost. They are a spent cost. Their further involvement nullifies or any good changes we do make (ie. unearthing Scienza, getting a new mgr).
  2. My god... even when we had chances to counter, our CF will shift the ball to the outside (Manning), and we will inevitably run out of space and send it back to our CBs. We are not direct at all, even when down by 1 near stoppage time. There is no urgency EVER. Also, if teams are going to sit in a low block, maybe we should f-off with the 3rd CB???
  3. Watch out, Hamburg motorists.
  4. Let Peretz take a swing. A keeper doesn't need time to settle in.
  5. If we can see it, TE cannot. I'm a fan of Scienza for life. He could pull a VVD, and I'd still love him.
  6. Why rebuild the wheel... "Build a Bonfire" or "Oh My Darlin'" depending on your corner of the world... Build a bonfire, Build a bonfire, Put RAAAASSSMUS on the top, Put Solak in the middle, And we'll burn the f'in lot.
  7. (The House is on Fire) S-R, S-R, SR is on Fire! We dont need need no water, Let the m-fer burn.
  8. I reflexively defend keepers as I feel they are too easily made the scapegoat. But my oh my... I cant be bothered to try. 2 of those goals today fell squarely on his shoulders.
  9. More of a clumsy trip that results in a foul usually. But it is in the books.
  10. Our chance to counter-attack blown with a backwards pass. Surprised?
  11. Seems like our streams are matched up.
  12. I hope you are right. Ramsdale is a top keeper, and he is pure class in my book. You list him as competent. Others have used more underwhelming words. All to say that Peretz is stepping into a tough job. He probably has no idea what he just signed up for.
  13. We have a long history of fixing droughts for other teams/players. Expect them to make it rain.
  14. A normal side-effect to supporting this club.
  15. Tonda would say that you "have an idea and a pair of eyes," but that you should trust them instead. The real question is, do you have hungry eyes?
  16. I think he is that level of a difference maker that one of those top teams will come hunting. His impact on our team is as great or greater than Lavia or some of our other big ticket sales. The age is working against him for the top-flight deals. So perhaps he will be looking at an Everton or Brentford. Either way, he won't be here for long. I will enjoy his short cameos until then.
  17. For brevity, surely. Fair enough. But time will be a better judge than chatgpt.
  18. 2 things can be true at once. He can not be up to the job and have a shit defense. The latter is especially true, and if the new keeper comes in and is below average, that might help us diagnose the actual problem.
  19. This excerpt is from a scouting report posted by another user in the Peretz thread... Sound familiar? Playing Style & Strengths Modern GK: Comfortable with the ball at his feet, good short distribution, suits possession-based teams. Weaknesses: Aerial/command of area: Biggest area for improvement – can be hesitant on crosses/high balls. Experience: Still raw at top level; needs consistent games to develop (reason for loans). Long distribution: Prefers short passes; less effective in direct styles.
  20. Great point. But could you let me be excited for a few minutes? Of course, we will be flush on that Scienza-money we all know will be coming from Chelsea/Liverpool in the Summer.
  21. He didn't start on Monday... Is he gone in January?
  22. Damion Downes is arguably ahead of Sargent in the US squad. It's absolutely nutter butters.
  23. Say that any louder and SR might give you a contract.
  24. To be fair, his ability with the ball is not quantified in any way by xG. Macca would start -1 each game if it were. Baz is not a world beater. But he isn't as bad as some of you make him out to be. Too many on here thought Ramsdale wasn't up to task which was fantastical. Its easy to blame the keeper when the defense is crap.
  25. The drop off comes from Scienza truly being able to last 60 minutes at his blistering pace, and we are a one trick pony.
