Another incomplete game by the Saints. First half was complete dog water. That is on the manager for a flat start AGAIN. The players look like strangers on the pitch. International break did nothing to improve our chemistry. While Still is an improvement to the self-sabotage of Martin, I still think a potted plant in a sport coat does the trick and gets the win.

He lands on his feet each time -- arguably on an upward trajectory given the champions league. I just don't get it. I suspect every team in Europe knows by now that a sneeze resembling a press undoes his teams.

He really does seem a different player. He ripped into his defenders at one point last week. Previously he would just quietly scowl and brood moodily between the posts. Getting time out of the spotlight did him some good. Something our managers should have seen and given far before the injury.

We have such an affinity for returning players. It may not happen this season, but I would actually be shocked if JWP didn't finish his career with us.
