But we have to be careful there, if his house was too close he might refuse us as he'd want to get plenty of miles to the galleon.

LIVE: Mauricio Pochettino's pre-match press conference
Foxy replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Just put 'southampton fc' or 'saints fc' into the you tube search then click channels. Select Southampton FC and then 'videos' it will who an option for the live presser first up. Click and it will tell you it starts shortly -
Far be it from me to tell an architect his job, but surely there would be merit in having the new stand overlooking the pitch?

Rickie scores, a couple of beers and little Foxy jnr. at the grandparents for a few days. Mrs F had better watch it this evening.

I think it must have been a brilliant joke I didn't get, Smirks

He's coming on

One eye on the future, eh?
-
Problem is the flamboyant long ball is his default option.

Gerrard a liability. How many 60 yard Hollywood balls to no one in particular can one man play??

You might have heard someone say 'that Welbeck fella at Montrose - he's no bloody good'

Phew, Pjanic over then. Sorry.

Nixon Wokingham - bustling medium pacer who gets the odd one to lift off a length. Some lusty hitting down the order. Works for me. On the other hand if we go by where I actually lived rather than the nearest town I'd be Nixon Farley-Hill, floppy haired, skittish England batsman. All timing and elegant cover drives but tendency to waft outside the off stump. Probably went to Harrow and Cambridge. Drinks pink gin.

Low cost airlines talk about London Stansted. Cambridge or Posh with a cheeky late bid?
-
It is. Mrs F made the tea completely unprompted this morning. That's normally my job first thing. A signing would be nice too, but a cuppa is a good start.

Double double-barrelled! For a player that posh I guess the committee just need to ask his butler.

Heaven only knows if there is any substance behind the story, but I, for one, could happily spend all day reading these literal translations.

I'm not sure that is something that is uniquely foreign, Nick

So from this we can probably deduce that the agent is really trying to drum up some interest and create a bit of an auction. Fair enough, what he was trying to do was say 'come on Real Madrid/Barca/Bayern/Accrington Stanley, there's interest from some but the door is open if you guys want to make a better offer'. Reasonable enough, the minnows bit was probably just a bit of a lost in translation thing. So perhaps a little less dead than we thought. But frankly who knows. I imagine that the agent and the player will wait a while to see what their options are.

Yup. Very much the case. Although I did manage to avoid living in the ghastly place. To this you can add: Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham, for towering and unjustified self opinion, Liverpool for a whining sense of entitlement, Man Utd for more reasons than I can think of, Stoke for anti-football, Leeds for a nasty blend of self righteous thuggishness and Ipswich for no discernible reason. There's probably others but they're nonentities I've forgotten about altogether.

Assuming, for want of information to the contrary, the Liebherrs are based in Switzerland for tax purposes, they'll be sufficiently big hitters to negotiate their tax regime with the canton (district) they register in. This would be a bespoke arrangement and likely invisible to outsiders.

Rooney out 'injured' for friendly in Sweden following 2nd bid from Chelsea*, Spurs confirm signing of Soldado - is this the moment the merry go round starts to spin? *According to SSN

Remy, eh. Another entry to the gallery of charmers among recent Newcastle players.. Ranger, Barton, Dyer, Bowyer, Bramble, Bellamy...feel free to add your own. I'm happy not to be associated with that sort, thanks.

But to look at it another way it was a good result for Oxford on what I'd imagine would have been billed by some as 'their cup final'.
